Matt Damon: ‘I Would Kiss George W. Bush on the Mouth’ For His AIDS Work…But No Tongue

Matt Damon: I Would Kiss George W. Bush on the Mouth For His AIDS Work...But No Tongue

Film star Matt Damon is largely known in political circles for his leftist leanings.  Why, then, is he telling the world in no uncertain terms that he could kiss former President George W. Bush?

Apparently, he is very impressed with Bush’s progress on various AIDS initiatives.

“I would kiss George W. Bush on the mouth for what he did on PEPFAR,” Damon said in an interview with the Atlantic.  “Three seconds. No tongue.”

Damon was referring, specifically, to the “President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief,” which provided anti-retroviral drugs for AIDS patients in Africa.

Perhaps even more shocking, Damon admitted he would like to see President Obama emulate Bush’s actions in the matter.

“You would have expected that Obama, with his reputation as a pragmatist, would look at PEPFAR, looked at how effective it is and thought that he should make similar investments in other issues, definitely water and sanitation,” he remarked.

“[But] It’s a different world now than it was when Bush was president,” he said, referring to the current state of the economy.

Matt Damon: I Would Kiss George W. Bush on the Mouth For His AIDS Work...But No Tongue

This isn’t the first time, however, that Damon has criticized Obama.

Once a staunch supporter, Damon has since declared the president to have “misinterpreted his mandate.”

“When you run on something as vague as hope and change, I think a lot of people put their own s**t on you,” he said

Damon was particularly affected after he spoke with various individuals who worked for the Obama campaign on a grass-roots level.  One reportedly told him: “Never again.  I will never be fooled again by a politician.

However, it remains unclear whether Damon is disappointed in Obama because he has not gone far enough in his initiatives, or because he has gone too far.

Meh.. The people who live outside of your vanity bubble in Hollowwood don‘t care what you and your ilk’s opinion is and George Bush has never and will never require your approval of him. I’m always amazed at how vain these shallow people that they actually think their opinion matters to the all the “Little People” who don’t live for red carpets and little bronze statues to gage their worth.

Add Matt Damon to the list, along with Bono and the rest of the liberal celebrities and the neocon Washington beltway talking heads, who praise Bush for spending us into oblivion. Why is our government spending our tax payer money to fight AIDS, which is largely a social/behavioral disease, in Africa? Enough with the foreign aid!

G.W.Bush while eating breakfast this morning heard this and spewed coffee all over Laura. He then proceded to lose his breakfast knowing about Damon being bisexual. As far as Damon not likeing Hope and Change, he forgot that Obama spent 750 million to get elected. That is one big Texas sized pile of IOU chits from all across the country. We need a 10 or 15 Million $$$ limit and then a sitting president would do his job and not start running for reelection right after being sworn in.

It appears that many people have, once again, taken Damon’s statement literally. I’m quite sure he was only using that as a “figure of speech” to make a point. It was used figuratively folks. We all use figures of speech and hyperbole when speaking, especially when attempting to make a point. Please, lighten up people!!! What does it take for people to know the difference??? Sheesh!

Those of you that don’t consider this a “NEWS” story had better consider the story within the story–
Why would a hard-nosed conservative Christian Republican spend more money on aid to Africa’s AIDS problem then a “big-hearted passionate liberal Democrat” who has closer ties to Africa than even your typical African-American? Why then? easy- Beck has answered and explained it to the masses several times. The same reasons the Progressives cooked up all the wild lies about DDT and promoted abortion and eugenics so vigoursly 80-100 years ago,, AND still do (see: Margaret Sanger) IT’S CALLED POPULATION CONTROL or CULLING THE HERD!! The Georgia Guidstones just aren’t pretty decorations to many in government and power.

There is an undeniable pattern to where the president directs money. It’s the same pay-to-play politics that’s done in his home city of Chicago. Unless those in charge get a sizable “piece of the action”, they are simply not interested. This shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone with half a brain. Those who paid the slightest bit of attention saw this coming long ago.

I did. I’m not trying to be a “told you so” guy, but I’ve heard this so many times that it needs to be said. Bush wasn’t prefect, but he was honest! He spent too much……..that’s about all I can find wrong with the man. He is and was an honorable honest man. WHICH IS QUITE CONTRARY TO THIS IDIOT WE HAVE IN THERE NOW.
