Matthews Attacks Beck On Caliphate Theory

Less than a day after Glenn Beck’s massive 5pm audience catapulted the term “Caliphate” into the Top 3 Google search terms, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews dedicated the entire opening block of his Tuesday program as well as his closing “Let Me Finish” segment to attacking Beck for what he calls “fear mongering.”
Matthews’ 5pm ratings are generally 40% of Beck’s, and in the prime 25-54 demo he typically garners 1/4 of Beck’s audience. In a business where size does matter, you have to speculate on the motivation behind this rant.
Also not lost on this reporter is the fact that within the past 24 hours, Media Matters dedicated no fewer than four stories about Mr. Beck and the Caliphate topic. Coincidence? I think not.
Dedicating his opening segment to Beck, Mr. Hardball came back again and again to this topic, enlisting Salon.com’s Joan Walsh and David Corn from Mother Jones to join him in the name calling. Ms. Walsh speculated on Beck’s sanity while claiming that he had lost “about a third of his ratings.” (see above, Joan)
In less than fifteen minutes, Chris Matthews and his guests referred to Glenn Beck as:
Looney Tunes, Completely Crazy, Captain Queeg, and a Full Mooner.
Matthews did take a short break from Beck, but only to attack Mitt Romney’s performance on Late Night With David Letterman before speculating on why no member of the GOP had stepped up and announced their intentions to run for President in 2012.

Matthews and gang, however, were discussing a completely different topic. We are all well apprised of the fact that Matthews and the rest of MSNBC have a tiny market share. I have no idea whether Joan’s claim that Glenn had lost a third of his ratings is accurate or not, and Mike has provided no evidence to the contrary. My strong guess is that Joan is full of it, but Mike gives no comparative statistics of Glenn’s share this time last month, last quarter, last year etc. etc. Sometimes quick is the enemy of thorough. Mike, today you were most certainly quick.

Beck is turning into anther Alex Jones. I am waiting for the episode with black helicopters and Beck explaining how to make tin foil hats to keep the mind control rays away.
Caliphate theory is based on the assumption that the arab world in unified. First Sunni and Shiati hate each other, no one trusts each other and it is doubtful that NATO allie secular Turkey, the real seat of power during the Ottaman empire (not ancient babalyon as Becky-boy ranted). would join in. The Kurds in Iraq, Turkey and Iran don’t trust the Persions, Turks and Arabs, nor do any of the other group trust each other.

That is because they need to know who the next target is. They are so worried about 2012 that they need to be incessant with the attacks. They think they have eliminated Palin and Bachmann from having a chance so, they need the next target. Matthews sucks, he knows it, we know it, he is only a useful idiot that will be out of a job when the tide turns against these progs and we get OUR Union back on track. He needs to ride this out to the end, it’s his only hope of keeping a job. After WE save the Union, Matthews will need to dip into his savings. He will not likely work again.

He grates on my nerves period, because I can’t abide a fool and he and Broker101 are both fools…I think the tremor up Chris’s leg might be what has caused the drooling…?? He may have had a stroke when he realized Glenn’s ratings. We went to Dallas in Dec. to see The Bold Fresh Tour. It maybe was named after Bill O‘Reilly’s book, but it was Glenn’s show…!!! The people I talked to for an hour or so, outside the show, were there to see and listen to Glenn…My Democrat husband, went, sat through and listened to the show…He loves Glenn and O’Reilly and he sees their points..But my point to this is, we went to the 2 PM showing, though I thought I was booking the 8 PM show, (I had a computer glitch) and was thankful it WAS the 2 PM show due to Dallas traffic…and the show was SOLD OUT, as was the 8 PM show. So Chris can go pee in the wind…as can Broker..even Democrats who are not nuts can go and see the show, and watch the programs and not have their heads explode…My husbands head is still intact..and bless his heart, he dealt with Dallas rush hour traffic, bad neighborhoods, and feeling like we were in another country at the Dallas IHOP we ate breakfast at…and you know what??? We had a good time..lots of debate, and we are still married after 42 almost 43 years.

I used to watch Glenn when he would appear on CNN prime time, he would bash Bush for overspending and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. He would cut you the truth the same as he does on Fox News Channel. CNN lost their way when Ted Turner fired all the good talent like Greta van Sustern, Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck. And it was my time with MSNBC that got me to stay with Fox News Channel, Keith Olbermann would rant about Bill O’reilly and to see if what he said was true I would check him out, it eventually got me to stay since there was more content in the programming that was related to events in the world, rather than ranting about people you don’t agree with. I want real news not a clique of haters.

All it takes is for you to do a little research on your own (you do read?) and the truth is very easy to find about what groups like the Muslim Brotherhood intend for all of us infidels. Google the Team B report to start with. Jerry Boykin lead the group who came up with it and I’ve know him for 25 years. You don’t become a 3 Star General in the US Army without a little bit of intelligence, and his perspective is based on actual experience, not some blow hard like Matthews.

And Glenn is causing Fear? ‘scuse me? How can we fear learning about History? That should make us free knowing what happened in the past and not letting it happen again, if we are able.
Where are these people making these stupid comments? Oh, they are from Satan surely because we are told to watch out for those who will deceive us. I am a reader and smart enough to know history is important and it’s only the “others” who deceive us with “their” snake oil smearing those bringing historical facts to our attention for a change from the idiocy of being dumbed-down.

See, JOKER0101, that‘s what the kid’s today called getting PWNED. I happen to miss a lot of Beck’s shows (I choose to live without cable) and even I could immediately recall the very show that you “promise” doesn’t exist!
Guys like Matthews, et.al, just aren’t used to actually hearing the truth about the world, let alone reporting it accurately. Many of my republican and conservative friends have stopped listening to Beck. I’ll continue to set the record straight here, in the hope that others will see the light. The best way to combat wrong-headed ideas is to continually confront them. Glad to see others doing it too. Simon Schama went out of his way on CNN to call out Beck’s insanity the other day, and he’s one of the brightest (and happily non-partisan) intellectuals we have. I hope people here will recognize that they are listening to the snake oil salesman rather than the ivy-trained MD-PhD, and that their country’s health is hurt by that. As much as we want things to be easy, intuitive and accord with our preexisting biases, the world is actually very complex, messy and confounding. Get used to it. It’s better to live with more fear but be paying attention to reality, than living in that seeming bliss of ignorance.

Tom McCelmurry’s BLOD read about him and see what he has to say on the subject, over 5 years ago, he predicted this same event, based on Bible prophesy. Glenn is a Mormon, he does not subscribe to Missionary Baptist doctrine, but still he is saying the same thing that this Pastor said 5 years ago…it all makes sense people and it follows what the Bible teaches…so go read, learn, study, and then make your decisions if he is crazy or not??? I think NOT…I know this Preacher, I know the man…and he is not looking to deceive anyone…only looking for the truth and to save souls…like I believe Glenn Beck believes also. He may be making a fortune at doing it, but those who are critical are only so because they weren’t smart enough to figure it out first…..
