First, the pronunciation of Laissez Faire, is not ‘Laasay Faire’ Chris.
It‘s pronounced ’Laysay Faire’. You should know that Mr. Matthews. If you’re going to use a foreign term that has generally accepted use in all communities, then don‘t come off as if you’re an illiterate.
Second, Mr. Matthews compared Mr. Obama’s book, “Dreams of My Father” to Huck Finn today. WHAT!
How politically incorrect.
Progressive, black consciousness raising academics and activists have railed pubically against Huck Finn since the late 1970′s. It has been a major area of dicussion in print and broadcast media over the years.
For Matthews to use Huck Finn as his barometer of the American icon status of “Dreams of my Father” shows how shallow and unschooled Mr. Matthews is of African American contemporary thought and culture.
Move over Joe Biden, Chris Matthews is about to announce how “clean” Mr. Obama appears. Move over Harry Reid, Chris Matthews is about to tell the world that Mr. Obama doesn’t sound black when he speaks.
Gee Chris, maybe you can have Mr. Obama come over and ‘white-wash’ your ratings.

Although I’m not a conservative, I’m certainly a patriot. I’m an American first, and a Democrat second. I just wanted to point out that at least “I” am educated enough to know that the word patriates in your post is misspelled. I’m also educated enough to know that your phrase: “dems think there smarter” should have been “they’re” smarter. The point I’d like to make is that after watching a video online of Glenn Beck using Vicks Vaporub to make it appear as though he were weepy eyed, I had no more respect for the man. Also, in case you didn’t know, FOX News’ two top stockholders are not naturalized Americans. The owner, Rupert Murdoch, was born in Australia but has now become an American Citizen. The second largest stockholder is a Saudi prince. Do you think they have your average Joe’s interests at heart? No. They’re in business to make money. I know there are good Democrats out there (somewhere) but the leaders of the party would rather burn a bible than read one, burn a our flag than pledge there allegiance to it, and burn our constitution in favor of a new one. I don’t recall Republicans, Conservatives or Independents ever burning the American flag in a public protest. You seem to think it’s a bad thing for Republicans to “hammer” the democrats on flag burning, baby murder, and mosque building at ground zero and wealth distribution and financially irresponsible spending. Most Americans think these are issues worth taking a stand against.

Military Times survey shows that this year 41% of active-duty personnel describe themselves as Republicans (down from 60% in 2004) and 32% describe themselves as Independent. Yes, Chris, that’s what is known as a majority. (http://www.navytimes.com/news/2010/04/military_poll_advance_041110w/)
Plus, every year the there are more recruits from the Southern region of the US than any other region (especially the Northeast). (http://www.nationalpriorities.org/militaryrecruiting2008/Army2008region)
Second, “Glenn Beck characters”
Really Chris, that’s just sad. If he’s talking about the Tea Party, check out a recent Gallup poll, http://www.gallup.com/poll/127181/tea-partiers-fairly-mainstream-demographics.aspx The Tea Party is actually very representative of the nation as a whole; the only real significant difference is that 70% of those describe themselves of Conservative (though a full 43% are Independent).
Third, “Chicago way”. Yes, Chris, I think we’ve been seeing Obama and his Saul Alinsky Chicago way ever since he was elected.

I would venture to say that Glenn Beck gives the most accurate, truthful and Progressive free history any of us will ever have the opportunity to be a recipient of.

At least Beck was able to get into Yale, which says a lot for the man. Also, if Danglingbags thinks that being taught by a “real” professor gives him the idea that he has the supreme education, then his thought process has been corrupted by that “real” professor. Professors “attain” their tenure the same way that everybody else in the world does it… they get up, get dressed, make sure their rear end shows up for work, collect their pay checks and continue their education. These are things the middleclass do every single day of their lives. The problem with most schools is that they do not teach, they dictate, and that my friend is why we have so many lame brained left wing yo-yos running this present government. Their “ideals” do not work, have never worked, and never will. They seek to entail the entire governmental process in subsidies, which in turn will require “free thinkers” like you to work FOR the government. Our Constitution was designed to have the government work for US. Now that is HISTORY!
And last but not least, God is indeed good, but without him you would have nothing, let alone gold.

I’ve probably read more books on History and witnessed more of it than you have hairs on your head. I also quit college because I got tired of kissing professors asses to get a good grade. I still carried a 3.8 GPA. Any time you think you are capable of discussing History with someone, bring it on. Your proffessors were indoctrinated in a phony History and you were never intelligent enough to question them for fear of getting a poor grade. I always asked for footnotes to back up what they are saying. Usually they cannot produce any. Facts are facts and opinion is opinion. I’ll take the facts thank and you can keep your opinion.

My family can be traced to serving our counrty in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWII, Korean War, Desert Strom, and Iraq/Afganistan War, and we do not have the arrogance of pretending that our duty to our counrty men stops there. No One knows Truth by sitting idly by waving a flag, you must continually search for it in yuor daily life. Stop kinding yourself, a degree doesn’t mean anything if you believe that it signifies that your searsh for knowlege/wisdom is done…..It signifies the beginning.

I have a high school deploma and a college deploma. I have studied history and a number of other things. If you believe that we are stupid for following Beck, then maybe you need to re-educate yourself. Glenn tells us to do our own research and to not take his word for anything. I want to apologize that he has escaped from the attic. Mama just had too much to drink that day. We didnt realize that he ever learned how to use a computer.
