Maxine Waters: Congressional Black Caucus Handprint All Over Obamas Jobs Plan

Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters lauded President Obama for his new jobs plan — dubbed the American Jobs Act — and stated her view that the president clearly took the Congressional Black Caucus’ postions into account when crafting the proposal.

“He heard us. As a matter of fact we can see our hand print all over this proposal. We’re pleased about it,” Waters said Friday on MSNBC.

Obama’s $447 billion job-creation plan reportedly cuts back the employee payroll tax cut, creates a national infrastructure bank and extends unemployment insurance benefits for an additional year. However, it remains unclear how the nation will pay for the nearly half-trillion dollar program.

Waters, in the meantime, said the CBC only wished Obama’s plan was “even bigger.”

“But it is substantial. Not only is it substantial, it targets the communities in the infrastructure repair that‘s the central part of this proposal and basically he’s going to these communities most in need,” Waters said during Friday’s interview.

“Of course, this jobs proposal is for everybody, but this targeting to communities of need will certainly help uplift the community that is most in need: African-American communities with 16.7 unemployment, up to 45 percent youth that are unemployed.”

      It is shameful the division this woman and her cohorts in the CBC are inciting. Unemployment is a national issue, not a color issue. We all hurt when someone needs a job and is unable to find one. She compiles the problem with race baiting. Work to heal, not to destroy. Ms. Waters is woefully inadequate for the job. She should truly consider resigning before she makes more of a fool of herself or does anymore damage.

      Maxines constituants are primarily are welfare mothers on food stamps, section 8 housing and free medical care.
      You can bet her home is like Charlie Rangels, just an address to qualify her to run in her district. I would bet you that her and her husband (the banker) live in a better part of town

      She obviously hasn’t ever worked in road/bridge construction, or known anybody who has. Bids are let and the winner of the bid does the work, even if the company doing the work is from another city or state. She talks like the people who live along the roads being rebuilt will be doing the work. They won’t. A company from hundreds of miles away will bring in their employees to do it.

      I have thought that many times.I do not care if you are black or white this woman got money for the banks her husband deals with. She was not looking out for the people. The BCB had their backs against the wall because they were not doing their job for their people.So they come out stirring up strife.

      There is one worse than Waters and that is Shiela Jackson.Remember last year she was talking on her cell when one of the people from her distrist was talking to her. Jackson did not turn the phone off but kept talking ignoring the woman at the town hall meeting that was talking to her. The average black congress man or womam is no different than the whites they like putting money in their pockets. When their backs are against the wall then they try to do something for their people.

      There should be term lims for these people just as there is for the president.

    As a native CaIifornians’ who now resides in upstate NY, I know people in the Golden State are spoiled rotten. There is an entitlement syndrome that has a serious effect on people there. Maxine Waters is just doing her job; trying to get her “constituents” more $. Honestly it is hard for me to be mad at Maxine though, because there have been billions if not trillions of dollars being shipped overseas. I‘d rather see my tax money stay in the good ol’ USA, albeit on things other than welfare and the like. But I must say,I do love California. San Francisco is beautiful, and the Redwood forests are majestic.It will always be home and I will always be proud of my home state flaws and all. The weird thing about California is most people there are proud to be. Maxine is a lefty, but they love her out there,if there will be change there,it will be the people first.

      Maxine Waters never said anything about where a half trillion dollars is coming from. The government will never get out of this debit if they do not balance the budget. They need to cut progams that are not needed and do not produce results. All she cares about is looking good to the people who elected her, so she will be voted in again. She has to much money in her pockets from the people that buy her off to get their plans passed in congress.

      Wake up people from her district. Why did she not fight sooner for your jobs. When her back was pushed against the wall and she knew she may loose your vote then she spoke up for you. What ever happened to her when she had money sent to banks in which her husband was involved in. Was she fighting for your jobs then????? Or was she feeling her pockets with money for herself???????

    Tax payer money going to the poor blacks? Time to buy some votes with our hard earned money. It isnt the blacks money, the majority of them arent paying taxes. I hate My home state of california, it stands for everything un american, gays, anti gun laws etc etc. sad part is us hard working tax paying folks are footing the bill for I phones/pods play stations, and soon Mickey dees w da food card.       Aside from the the fact that Maxine Waters is possibly the dumbest member of congress, she obviously fails to see that the illegal immigrants that progressive love so much are taking most of the low skill jobs that many blacks and middle class workers normally take. Thus driving up unemployment for high school and non high school grads. Illegals are also driving down wages for most construction trades.

      Ladies and gentlemen; keep this proposal just that, contact your congressmen and senators and demand that they vote against this plan. Instead persuade them to a “…Spend money only after making cuts effective immediately…” mindset. The future of our country depends on this; BHO can backdoor anything he wants by executive order, but, congress doesn’t have to approve the funding! I say congress should call the POTUS on the carpet and put a stop to his usurpation of power!
