Congresswoman Maxine Waters offered some advice for President Barack Obama Thursday: It’s time to drop the Super Bowl parties and beer summits with the Republicans and stand up and fight them.

Speaking at a Congressional Black Caucus legislative conference in Washington, the California Democrat said Obama’s “been very nice” in his negotiations with Republicans, but now he needs to fight harder.

“He’s been on the other side of the aisle talking with people. He’s invited them up to the White House to have beer. He’s invited them to come and watch the Super Bowl games,” Waters said, as reported by The Hill. “He’s done all of that, and when they eat his food and drink his beer and leave, then they go and try to kill him [on Capitol Hill].”

“You’ve gotta fight – you will not win this battle without fighting,” she said.

According to The Hill, Waters said she and other Democrats believe that by fighting the Republican Party Obama can be successful — although she also suggested there are questions about whether he will keep fighting for liberal priorities when things tough.

“We love the president. We want him to be successful,” Waters said. “But does he feel our pain? Does he understand what’s going on out here?”

Waters criticized Obama last month for not paying more attention to black communities, particularly in the face of their disproportionate unemployment rate, and said black voters are hesitant to call him out because they “love him.”

On Thursday, she reiterated her call that the black community needs to get involved — because the Tea Party certainly does.

“We have got to show up. The Tea Party shows up. The Tea Party intimidates everybody,” she said. “We have to show people that we have no fear. Don’t mistake the silence for intimidation.”

The congresswoman also didn’t back down or apologize when she addressed her recent highly-publicized remarks in which she told a crowd, “the Tea Party can go straight to hell.”

“Yes, I was displayed in national media telling them where to go,” she said. “And I mean that.”

      Obama needs to show me the personal check he wrote to pay for all “his” beer & skittles he invited the other side over to share. If he can’t, then I figure a portion of the snacks belong to me…after all, my tax dollars paid for them. And I don’t believe sharing food with someone should come with strings attached.

      If one can take anything away from this idiot‘s ranting and hate mongering it’s that the tea parties have truly got her scared. Why though? Because all the money she keeps promising to cities like Compton (and boy isnt’ that one of the nicest cities in the country?) will dry up as the tea party forces Washington to rein in it’s spending. It’s happening. Even Obama has been dragged kicking and screaming into pretending he’s a deficit hawk. The corrupt little deals and promises of handouts will dry up for little Maxine.
      Unfortunately, her district is so gerrymandered she could run as cold corpse and still win in a landslide so her hysteria, race baiting, and fomenting unrest will continue until she decides to leave congress. She is a blight on congress and an insult to the American people. She actually induces nausea.
