Mayor of Jerusalem Tells Beck His Simple Rule for Detecting Evil in Strategic Relationships

On Monday morning Glenn Beck announced his ambitious plan to hold a “Restoring Courage” rally in Israel this summer.

Monday evening, the mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, joined Glenn live in his television studio in New York to talk about the important alliance between the United States and Israel.

Barkat explained that the strategic relationship is “most important” to Israel.   He called it a “two-way street” with Israel providing important intelligence and insight in combating terror.

Glenn talked about his impression on a recent visit to Israel that people were “awake.”

“That tends to happen when people are trying to kill you or run you into the sea,” Beck observed.

Asked about detecting the difference between good and evil, Barkat had a simple equation:

Barkat concluded the interview with a sincere explanation of his mission to serve the people of all faiths in his city.

“I believe that’s the opposite of evil.”

    glenn wants open sincere talk? ok let us talk decently, openly and sincerely about the main drivers of the human kinf today: do you agree with jewish ownership of liberal media contents and goals?, what do you think of jewish ownership of the entire dollar bills and most public credit supply? how do feel on jewish ownership of american and all other supposedly christian nations international relations pollitics’ will? do you agree and feel confortable with jewish perception of the rest of humanity as a just biologically “similar” individuals as jews except by the lack of the “eternal soul” feature in them? or tel your audience about the sense of double standard on defend Christ killers and Christian beliefs? you think you are so pure and saint?? no no at all. next time you should talk openly and sincerely about the religious paper on politics, social matters and economics so you the people could feel honest to yourselfs

      Glen is a hypocrite. I watched him when he was talking about Goldman Sachs and Federal Reserve, Soros and globalists agenda. And then he changed… I used to think that he cared about this country and then he became and an Israeli firster. I guess he is trying to save his career.

      I am sick of him telling everyone to do the homework. Maybe he should listen to his own advice? Even when he talks about the Vogel family almost every night he did not check that the suspect was a Thai worker and not Palestinian terrorists.

    Off the topic of Israel, but I was furious when I heard Glenn on TV yesterday at the end of the program, compare the lady who had the wonderful attitude after she was burned over most her body after a plane crash and the lady from Iran who had the acid poured on her by a boyfriend leaving her majorly disfigured. The Iranian lady was upset about the Iran‘s hold on the boyfriend’s punishment to pour acid in his eyes. She believes an eye for an eye but Glenn reminded people to have courage, to not take revenge. He was definetely comparing the attitude of each lady. I’m sorry Glenn, there is NO comparison when you are victimized by another person who pours acid in your face to someone who is burned from a plane crash and who’s not disfigured nearly as much as the Iranian lady. I was shocked.

    I applaud Glenn’s desire to to stand for Israel.
    Biblical prophecy about Israel has been fulfilled, and the rest of prophecy concerning Israel will also be fulfilled.
    God tells us in scripture that it will be Israel who will bless all nations.
    And it is Israel where Jesus our Lord and Saviour will return.

    Should America turn her back on Israel? Never. The best thing that Americans could do would be to repent and turn back to God and to stand courageously with Israel.
    People need to see the big picture here. Evil is gathering forces to establish a new world system void of God. The fool in his/her heart says there is no God. Those who believe know how this all plays out because God has already told us the end from the beginning. After all, He (God) is the Alpha (beginning) and Omega (ending).
    The good news is that Good wins. The Good News is that Jesus Christ Came already and is coming again.

    For JONNYDOE: Every time there’s been peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, Israel has agreed to the demands. Only to have the rulers of the Palestinians (you know, Hamas & Hezbollah who are using the people) demand more. Israel has no problem with the Palestinian people, indeed there’s a lot of them living in Israel. Israel has a problem with terrorist organizations that want to destroy Israel and it’s people. Have some more coffee and maybe you’ll wake up in time.

    I find it amazing that many agree with the point made…INCLUSION. That’s hardly what I commonly read on THEBLAZE. And, by the way, if you hate anything that resembles socialism, you certainly wouldn’t want to support Israel. But I understand, religious beliefs trump all else…and that’s fine with me…I just think it leads to political contradictions. That, to me, sums up Glenn Beck…aside from his conspiracy beliefs.

    If we all live in fear and do not stand, evil wins. That is the point. Many did not go to 8/28/2010 because there where threats, remember the NBP? Nothing happened, but some did not come.

    Same here. With that said, this one requires international travel, and money, some may just not have it even if they want to come, so I hope there are gatherings in the US for those to electronically attend and gather as well.

    Realistically, there are many places here in the USA where there could even be more danger, if you look at the statistics, sure the evil is rising against Isreal, but the forces are not quite ready to strike, yet…

    I think Beck is standing where he thinks God wants him to stand, and he has the means to do this, and he is doing it. To those who much is given, much is expected…

      I too have felt called to Israel, for about a year now actually. However, there is no way my family can afford such a thing. I work for a non-profit and we staff have given up raises because we are refusing any government grants pandered to “help” the poor and needy…. but in reality keeps them in bondage to the government. Thank you God that our board finally woke up about a year ago!! Me and my family will continue to make it on a meager income, it is worth it! Without government rules and regulations on the money (and programs) we are seeing more and more of the poor actually get OUT OF poverty and contributing. I am SICK of the government programs, they have no clue how to help families get OUT of poverty, no clue!
      I will join on-line and STAND WITH ISRAEL!

    In my opinion true Americans have never lacked courage. They have stood up to the test every time it came to them. I do believe a George Washington as a leader would help Americans stand for what is right but I have yet to see him in the crowd yet.

    Glenn, tell me how you will react when alot of Americans die following your lead. Will you stand before us with courage and tell us you did the right thing? Just wondering how you are going to handle this if it gets ugly. Are you convinced that this is the time and the way for Americans to die?

      Having spent time unarmed in the middle east I will tell you that standing unarmed in a war zone surrounded by evil people doesn’t allways work LOL If he gets alot of people over there some of them will die. How will he handle that? God has allready given his grace by the death of his son. The bible is the word of God. I believe that no matter what man does God will keep his word.       Thanks PSYCHOSIS, for some rational thought here.. The State of Israel is not a war zone.. It’s borders get a little dicey once in a while (been to the mexican border lately). They fly their Airline, El Al Israel, out of there with less intrusion of personal space in the name of security than ours, and with fewer incidents as well.. Please Sam, get a clue.. Israel handles their internal security very well.. Just ask the millions of tourists who already go there every year.. Oh, I’m sorry, did you not know that??

      When you have faced death…when you have stared “evil” in the eye…there is no fear. There is only “fear” when you run away from evil. And when you run, evil wins. (Regarding fear….regarding evil… I know of what I speak. Experience brings knowledge.) It is time to take a stand… take a stand for Israel.

      Glenn takes no responsibility and needs to take no responsibility for anything that may happen “over there”. Those who will be going understand the risks. None of us know what the future holds for any of us. Personally, I do believe God is calling his people across the country. The natural disasters are not punishment from God, but yes, I do believe it is a purging that is going on. Some will turn to God, others against God. It is time to take sides… it is time to take a stand. And, not taking any stand is taking a stand. For me, I choose to stand for Israel.

      Sam, apparently you don’t think God can do what He wants to. If He decides to not let anybody die over there or to let people die over there, that’s His business. As for me, I think I’ll let Him decide if I die or not; it’s called faith. I’m not gonna waste my time worrying about it, especially that I feel called and compelled to go over there. My only concern is getting the leave and funds to do so in time.

      As far as Glenn’s response, as stated above he is not making anybody go. I’m just glad that somebody is stepping up to do what he is trying to do for this country, regardless of who shows up or gets the message. It’s about time we get some people who are unafraid to act with bold conviction in the face of misguided opposition.

      Sam, nice trolling by the way. Very well done. Unfortunately, most of the people on The Blaze are honest brokers and aren’t quite up to spotting such a high level troller as yourself.

      Though to speak to the topic at hand; No one is forcing people to go over there. They will go or not of their own free will. Will accidents happen? Yes. I am sure that a few people died on the 8/28 even last year in Washington D.C. I am sure a few were robbed before or after the event because they went and saw some of the other tourist attractions that Washington D.C. has to offer. Though if you compare crime, Israel is lower on the scale than America is, sadly.

      The courage part comes in where people are willing to go to an area where everyone around that area hates them. They are willing to stand with those people and show them their support. That is where the courage comes in.

      No, I am not going over there, though if I could afford it, I think I would to see Israel once before the world goes completely to the crapper.

      One of Glenns big deals is history. Maybe you don’t remember the Jim Jones cult and the koolaide killings but I do. People can be led to do alot of things, history shows this time and again. Are the leaders accountable or is it the followers fault if they die believing in a cause.

      In 05 I went to Iraq to help the troops on my own accord. I didn’t follow anyone over I just left my family and went to help at age 53. Duty over rides fear but fear is allways there when you have a chance of dieing. To say different would be a lie,but you have a job to do and that makes you go on. Those of you who imply I am a coward for my questions to Glenn can tell me what they have done that makes me so.

      Beck has gone to sacred ground and is asking people to come join him to support Israel. I am just asking him if he gets people killed in this how is he going to handle it.

      I am very interested in all this for spiritual reasons. I can’t explain it now but will when I hear more and pray some more. There is potentially something going on here that could be directly related to a passage of the Book of Rev. I believe a lot has been going on that has been mentioned in the Book of Rev. and the Book of Daniel for decades. It is interesting to see how the Books translate into real life. It is not how you would expect it yet when your eyes are open and you see it. You wonder how could we not miss it. Whe you read those two books especially and everything to take place you have to wonder how could anyone miss everything going on and turn to God. Yet it is clear they don’t because everything that happens seems so natural and right.

      CatB, “great minds work together.” But you are more tactful than I am!

      I was sitting here trying to figure out how to explain to liberals that what they are aiming for is evil, because it is not about being free American citizens; their goal is to suck the money and livelihood out of the working people for the sake of being slack themselves and making everyone dependent upon government. What ever happenedf to being self-reliant? Self-responsibility?

      Certainly there are people on disability, and our government has set up a system to provide for them and a system which we have paid into so that we can receive a monthly income when we retire. Unfortunately, the Democratic fingers of big government have dipped into that “trust” fund and stolen it. There was a time when the Postal Service had a surplus, but the government took that, too. Postage went up, and now the Postal Service is in the red.

      The Progressives do not want this nation to prosper. The Progressives, under the guise of creating jobs, have done nothing but methodically kill jobs, created regulations to prevent jobs, and are doing what they can to drain the money in the private sector into the treasury to keep spending until our dollar collapses. THAT IS EVIL! And, to lie about what they are toing TO America, instead of FOR America, IS EVIL!

      Notice the mayor’s answer to the first question: Glenn asks if we can support israel without sending troops or without sending dollars. His reply? “For sure, without sending troops.” But he does want your dollars…

      Unfortunately, Beck has been duped into believing that Zionist Israel has “tried and tried” to make peace with those terrrible palestinians. And the suckers line up to start sending these guys even more money….

      Dear Sam Brown….Life is risky. We all die in the end. We are adults If I decide to go it’s not as if Glenn is making anyone do anything.Why, if I die is it Glenn’s fault? is it Fords fault if I buy the car they advertise to me and die in a car accident? I say this is very likely of GOD. I‘m more concerned that Seal Team 6 leader Dingle barry pinko doesn’t dawn his muscle suit and grab his assault rifle and come shoot us himself for going: like he did his twin brother Osoma bin Oboma.
