McCain Blasts Obama Over Iraq: ‘History Will Judge this President’s Leadership with the Scorn and Disdain it Deserves’

Former Republican presidential candidate John McCain had harsh words for Barack Obama on the Senate floor Thursday, targeting the president’s handling of the Iraq war.
The Weekly Standard reports:
“All I will say is that, for three years, the president has been harvesting the successes of the very strategy that he consistently dismissed as a failure,” McCain said referring to the surge which then senator Obama opposed in 2007. “I imagine this irony was not lost on a few of our troops at Fort Bragg today, most of whom deployed and fought as part of the surge.”
McCain closed by saying that over 4,00 “brave young Americans gave their lives,“ and that it is ”clear” that the president’s decision to pullout of Iraq was purely politically motivated:
“Over 4,000 brave young Americans gave their lives in this conflict. I pray that their sacrifice is not in vain. I hope that their families will not mourn the day that their sons and daughters went out to fight for freedom for the Iraqi people. Unfortunately, it is clear that this decision of a complete pullout of United States troops from Iraq was dictated by politics, and not our national security interests. I believe that history will judge this President’s leadership with the scorn and disdain it deserves.”
The video follows and a full transcript of McCain’s remarks can be read here.

Posted on December 15, 2011 at 5:33pmThe truth is McCain.. you wouldn’t have been any better.. we had the absolute worse two choices to pick from in 2007.. And in 2012 its not much better… we need someone to step forward who has character, values and morals… one who in no way is a progressive.. or a liberal.. or especially a socialist.. I remember your words well McCain when asked questions about Obama and you poopooed it.. You said he was a good man.. you lied! God help us now.. because Wahington you cannot fix all of our problems.. only Jesus can now!! God in Heaven help us!

Posted on December 15, 2011 at 5:42pmThe truth is that he was picked by God! God appoints the kings of nations. This is all apart of the grand plan. Each one making their step in the direction this world must go so it can be born again. God through the prophet Daniel named the empires that would come after Babylon and even named the man Cyrus the great as the overthrower of babylon who was not even born yet. The people choose unwisely with BHO because they wanted to lie to themselves about who he was. Even his staff said Obama was a blank canvas that folks wanted to paint on about who he was and means to them. Jews voted for him in overwhelming numbers and so did blacks. One for racist motives and the other for political reasons and cult worship because I believe Obama to be a false idol that people worshipped and still do. He is just a man and a mere politician but he created an image and the PEOPLE bought it hook line and sinker. They will again before its all over.

Let’s give them some “high” five credit for helping elect this POS. Let’s not discount the vote-splitters either who actually voted for Obama via Ron Paul.
They’re about to do it again this year too, make no mistake about it.

I am coming to the realization that you are just a misguided soul and do not know better. I am a Paul supporter and can tell you I did not vote for Obama. Obama did pull the wool over the eyes of many Americans in 2008, including some Consrevatives. To try and throw Paul supporters as being the frey that did it is absurd. This just shows how narrow minded you really are. Some day you will wake up. Not sure how long it will take for you, as you seem to be the type that would walk out into the desert and hear rattlesnakes buzzing all around but would be oblivious until one jumped up an bit you on your as*. Most on here are wise to your ignorance so I do not worry about what you post as everyone knows it is jibberish. I am noticing that all polls, except some of the establishment skewed polls, that Paul is ahead in most all. We will see in the beginnig of January, how Paul is doing. I am guessing he will do quite well. Watch the debate , it is getting ready to start.

Um no, those would have been Independents. BUT, since you “think” you know so much. I voted for your communist loving traitor John McCain. Fortunately I have a MUCH MUCH better option than McCain lite in Newt Romney with Ron Paul, even if I have to wind up writing it in. Between Paul and Bachmann they are THE ONLY right wing candidates in this race for the GOP nomination. Your pals are communists.

Posted on December 16, 2011 at 5:37am> WESTCOASTLIBERAL and REMF.
>REMF (10TH) . 2008…”In an interview on The Situation Room, Paul told Wolf Blitzer that endorsing Sen. John McCain, the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, “would really confuse” his supporters “because they know we have a precise program and we have to defend that program. Having a Republican win the upcoming presidential election is “secondary” Paul stated. Paul parts ways with McCain over McCain’s support for the Iraq war, his approach to U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and his willingness to spend federal dollars to support military operations in Iraq. Instead, Paul favors Sen. Barack Obama because of positions on foreign policy.
Many Paul supporters took that as a green light that it was okay to vote for Obama and thousands did. It was all over the internet in 2008. Ron Paul supporters voted for Obama in droves. Lmao. YOU call McCain a Communist. Well I guess he wasn’t Communist enough for Ron Paul supporters in 2008. You will remain a REMF 10th… A rear echalon mother effer.
> WESTCOAST LIBERAL. Ron Paul looked like the doddering old hysterical fool he is last night. Bret Baier and Michele Bachmann proved that regarding Iran questioning, lol. You “harsh” on me WESTCOASTLIBERAL? You’re a babe in the woods, don‘t give yourself credit where cedit’s not due. But you go ahead and give yourself a reach-around if it makes you feel better. Posted on December 15, 2011 at 5:03pmThe Russians have General Winter. We have General Islam.
Therefore, the way to win in the Middle East is to leave. Reagan understood the factious nature of Islam and Semites and managed the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988). All Semitic peoples are violent and the while the Iraqi Semites were busy killing the Iranian Semites and the Iranian Semites were busy killing the Iraqi Semites, they were… not killing Americans.
In fact, the Semitic zeal for killing led both sides to up their oil output to buy guns and energy prices plummeted throughout the entire period of Intra-Semitic open hostilities.
The Reagan plan differed fundamentally from the modern Judeo-Semite-McCain planning to control Islamo-Semites by sending American troops to get killed, build hospitals, and hand out candy to people who hate us.
Good on Barry if he actually has pulled American troops and treasure out of Iraq, although I am quite sure he hasn’t.

Posted on December 15, 2011 at 5:46pmThen what happens to the price of oil if we just up and leave? Look we are not going anywhere! We‘ve slogged this road to Bagdad for many years and since the 1980’s frankly. We have moved steadily into the gulf, cementing relationships behind the public scenes with Bahrain, UAE, then Kuwait thru the 1st gulf War, Saudi, Qatar and now Iraq is in our back pocket. Leave? Really?
