McCain: Eric Holder Has ‘No Credibility’ to Oversee Leaks Investigation

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday said Attorney General Eric Holder has “no credibility” to oversee the investigation into the recent spate of national security leaks and called for a special counsel to investigate instead.
“Mr. Holder’s credibility with Congress — there is none,” McCain said on CNN’s “State of the Union.“ ”We continue to have this problem with him withholding information on Fast and Furious which resulted in the killing of a Border Patrol agent in Arizona. He is close to being held in contempt. There is no credibility.”
While saying he had “great respect” for the two individuals tapped to head up the process — U.S. Attorneys Ronald Machen and Rod Rosenstein — McCain said the investigation really needs “a special counsel, someone entirely independent of the Justice Department.”
McCain has been particularly vocal about the leaks, last week accusing the “highest levels of the White House” of being responsible for them, possibly as a way to boost President Barack Obama’s image as a strong leader. On Sunday, he said he has “no idea whether the president knew or did not know” about the leaking of information.
“It’s obvious on its face that this information came from individuals who are in the administration,” McCain said. “The president may not have done it himself, but the president is certainly responsible as commander in chief.”

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 12:08pmMcCain is correct regarding Holder…but he is VERY WRONG on the (LOST) Treaty. In fact supporting that treaty will cause more damage to our country than Holder ever could. In another words…McCain can cause America to lose her sovereign rights…something Holder can’t even get close to doing!

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 1:09pmAgreed. Mc Cain is following the old school rules. Big mix of being “honorable” on the msm and then playing Washington power politics for his own reasons.
Aside from the Mc Cain segment, did anyone else chuckle at that beautiful statement by Axelrod–
Something about how Congress should “compromise on things we can all agree on?” Yeah, he must be using the DC insiders’ dictionary definition of “compromise.”
Right up there with Debbie Schultz’s idea of “deployment” of a grass roots organization.

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 11:22pmThe head of the justice department has zero credibility. Not suprising….the White House has no credibility either. Wouldn’t it be interesting to find out if the goals of a socialist and communist would be to develop a loss of faith in our institutions in order to be able to overthrow the government. What better way to do that than have a dolt like Eric Holder play the role of Justice Department head.
Anyone willing to bet?

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 12:08pmAbsolutely, McCain…
And, neither does Eric Holder have “credibility” to be the Head of the DOJ.
It’s OBVIOUS Holder has/is an OBSTRUCTION TO JUSTICE…
Just LQQK at his handling of Voter Intimidation matters, as well as, his handling of the
Dead or Alive threat in the Martin case….FAST & FURIOUS, to name a few of his
incompentent, inept, SCREWING OVER OF THE US JUSTICE SYSTEM & NATION.
JUSTICE IS NOWHERE IN HOLDER’S VOCABULARY…
BUT IT SHOULD BE IN CONGRESS’S…
CONSTITUTIONAL LAW (JUSTICE) IS BEGGING FOR RESURRECTION

Posted on June 11, 2012 at 1:11amEric Holder is a criminal. Accomplice to murder in the case of border patrol agent Brian Terry. Also in the case of hundreds of citizens of Mexico. I’m not concerned about violent cartel members. But about the innocent citizens of Mexico who did nothing wrong. Their family members were heartbroken as well.

When you have a president telling the world that he’s going to get rid of 80% of our nation’s nuclear weapons, he’s letting the world know that he is weakening our nation. Report Post »His land swarmed with powerful and docile animals, yet he never dreamed a harness, cart, or sled. In a land of stone and timber he never sawed a foot of lumber, carved a block, or built a house save of broken sticks and mud.
With league on league of ocean strand and miles of inland seas, for four thousand years he watched their surface ripple under the wind, heard the thunder of the surf on his beach, the howl of the storm over his head, gazed on the dim blue horizon calling him to worlds that lie beyond, and yet he never dreamed a sail.” — Charles Darwin

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 11:33amThere is something to be said for “contentment”. It’s called living “in the present”, and being happy with the blessings that you have. While innovation is great, (That is what made America great!) sometimes we are never satisfied with what we have. We always have to have more, more, more. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. We don’t need to be stagnant, but it wouldn’t hurt if we were occasionally “content”.
