Media Matters to Launch Campaign of ‘Guerrilla Warfare and Sabotage’ Against Fox News

“The strategy that we had had toward Fox was basically a strategy of containment,” said David Brock, the founder of Media Matters. Now the strategy of the liberal group has changed. The new strategy is “war on Fox.”
Politico reports that Brock’s plan of “guerilla warfare and sabotage” against Fox is almost assuming the strategy of grassroots political activism:
The group, launched as a more traditional media critic, has all but abandoned its monitoring of newspapers and other television networks and is narrowing its focus to Fox and a handful of conservative websites, which its leaders view as political organizations and the “nerve center” of the conservative movement. The shift reflects the centrality of the cable channel to the contemporary conservative movement, as well as the loathing it inspires among liberals — not least among the donors who fund Media Matters’ staff of about 90, who are arrayed in neat rows in a giant war room above Massachusetts Avenue.
Brock plans to hire an opposition research team in its campaign against Fox News, showing that Media Matters is shifting its focus from media criticism to political activism, as Politico’s Ben Smith notes.
Smith reports:
Media Matters, Brock said, is assembling opposition research files not only on Fox’s top executives but on a series of midlevel officials. It has hired an activist who has led a successful campaign to press advertisers to avoid Glenn Beck’s show. The group is assembling a legal team to help people who have clashed with Fox to file lawsuits for defamation, invasion of privacy or other causes. And it has hired two experienced reporters, Joe Strupp and Alexander Zaitchik, to dig into Fox’s operation to help assemble a book on the network, due out in 2012 from Vintage/Anchor. (In the interest of full disclosure, Media Matters last month also issued a report criticizing “Fox and Friends” co-host Steve Doocy’s criticism of this reporter’s blog.)
Brock said Media Matters also plans to run a broad campaign against Fox’s parent company, News Corp., an effort which most likely will involve opening a United Kingdom arm in London to attack the company’s interests there. The group hired an executive from MoveOn.org to work on developing campaigns among News Corp. shareholders and also is looking for ways to turn regulators in the U.S., U.K., and elsewhere against the network.
“Criticizing Fox News has nothing to do with criticizing the press,” Brock wrote in a planning memo. “Fox News is not a news organization. It is the de facto leader of the GOP, and it is long past time that it is treated as such by the media, elected officials and the public.”

Most of their website is copies of clips, little to no comment concerning the clips except a “shock headline.“ Then ”child comment“ after ”child comment“ repeats ”he/she’s crazy,“ ”he/she need treatment,“ ”his/her followers are as crazy as him/her,” etc. There are “articles” on the site, but many of the articles are touted as “factual,” however, they are evaluating half statements from the partical clips form the sight. I doubt highly that anyone associated with MMs watches an entire show on FOX, and never watches more than one or two days a week!

The chief justice refuses Mr. Hamilton in using the truth for evidence. Better yet he could not show proof to the jury by what was written in the documents which had been put out to warn people of corruption. ( My guess is the Justice was on the side of the accusers, Tories)
I’m going to write the whole appeal to the jurors. You must read this.

Obama said he was not going to allow any lobbyists to have decision making positions in his administration: Obama has the audacity to keep pushing the lobbyist lie after filling his administration with at least fifty lobbyists and several Goldman Sachs Executives.
“There are almost 100 shovel-ready transportation projects already approved,” — Obama, 2009
“There is no such thing as shovel-ready projects,” – October, 2010
Obama falsely accused the GOP of using foreign donations, funneled through the Chamber of Commerce, to run political ads. Obama had the gall to promote this blatant lie after his own campaign accepted millions in foreign donations during his 2008 campaign (some of these donations even came from the terrorist organization, Hamas).
Several months ago, Obama told the nation that the last combat brigades had left Iraq. The truth is that Obama just change the name of combat brigades to “Advise and Assist” brigades. There are still “Advise and Assist” brigades in Iraq.
Obama was telling Americans they would be able to keep their current doctors and healthcare plans under Obamacare up until Obamacare was rammed through Congress. Now that the bill has passed and we get to see what’s in it, Obama finally admitted that wasn’t exactly true.
In response to the Arizona anti-criminal immigration bill, Obama told people in Iowa that people who didn’t have their “papers” were going to be harassed. That is an outright lie, since the Arizona bill mirrors Federal law and only allows police to ask for identification during the course of a criminal investigation.
Obama repeatedly told the lie that the taxes of Americans would not go up to pay for his $1.5 TRILLION dollar socialist healthcare plan. The truth is that under Obamanationcare there are over $667 Billion in tax hikes and 14 different increases on citizens earning less than $250,000 a year.
Liberals still mock Sarah Palin for using the term “death panel,” even though, less than a few weeks after Obama’s socialist healthcare plan passed, Liberals started talking openly about rationing healthcare for people at the beginning and end of their lives. Like “Advise and Assist” brigades, “End of Life Counseling” is a euphemism.

It’s quite obvious both factions are patriotic and passionate, and both are led by quite moral, good-hearted citizens who care deeply about our generations to come. Each group is also flush in non-profit funding, and growing every year. Their presidents deserve to make more than the Speaker of the House, the highest paid Representative. That’s what I think. And I think you should treat them both with their due respect, like Senator Scott Brown would.

You are absolutely correct. This is why it is so important to correct every lie that Liberals tell, even if you have already corrected it 1,000 times before. If the rest of the media were doing their job (i.e., reporting the truth), like Fox, so-called Liberalism would never be able to survive in America. One of the reasons so few Liberals post in here is because most of them know that their lies won’t go unchallenged.
