A voicemail from Gov. Charlie Crist to Democratic Senate candidate Kendrick Meek from earlier this week emerged on Saturday, suggesting Crist asked Meek to withdraw from the three-way race.
The existence of the voicemail comes a day after questions arose about whether former President Bill Clinton pressured Meek to give up his bid and back Crist.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:30pmACORN LIVES! From the tiny acorn grows the mighty oak. The mighty oak filled with disease, corruption, worm holes, and dishonesty. Already we have heard about it – illegal aliens knocking on doors to get out the vote for Patty Murray in Washington – ballots already marked for Harry Reid being given to voters in Nevada. As was the case with Al Franken, Democrats are poised to steal a few key seats in the upcoming election. Democrats in some states sent in people as third party candidates to siphon off votes from their opponent – so that they could walk right through the door. Isn’t that worse than voter fraud?
I say, take a page from the playbook of Socialist planners like Saul Alinsky, or Cloward and Piven. What we do is that we ‘Overwhelm the System.’ We turn out so many anti-Democrat voters that it doesn’t matter what kind of fraud they throw at us. We win by margins safe enough to accommodate their dead voters, pre-marked ballots, uncounted ballots, unregistered voters, and anything else they can come up with. There it is. We win every seat to which we are entitled because we ‘Overwhelm the System’ with fair and honest votes. Make Tuesday look like Custer’s Last Stand. Just when it appears to the crooked Democrats that they’ve achieved a standoff, a new wave of voters comes over the hillside, headed for the polls. And they keep coming. And they keep coming. More than necessary to cancel out the margin of error and the fraudulent schemes being perpetrated to steal something sacred. In places like Maine and California and Maryland, non-citizens are allowed to vote, but in places like New York and Illinois our active military will not be allowed to vote because their military ballots were sent out too late? Isn’t this whole thing a bit ass-backwards?
What is it with Democrats and voter fraud? They have it mastered. It is an art form to them. It’s in their DNA. What a dubious distinction to add to their long list of ‘achievements and accomplishments.’ I have family members who claim to be “proud” Democrats. Why? What’s to be proud of? Dishonesty? Stealing? Fraud? No, thank you. I’d rather just win fair and square and have an insurance policy called ‘Overwhelm the System.” We can do it. We MUST do it!

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:28pmCrist is without a doubt a very evil and corrupt man. He does NOT deserve to win and this is why he won’t. Marco Rubio is a decent and sincere man who will be good for Florida. He definitely outshines this Obama man. God bless Marco, he is going to Washington DC and he will FIGHT for all Floridans.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:27pmThis is beautiful and expected. Charlie Crist has always been for Charlie and Flip Fopped for whichever way the wind blows. Anyone can do that. He has no scruples or beliefs and no spine and now finally there‘s no disputing to what dedpicable level he’ll go to to save his sorry A#$. When we needed you to vote for Offshore drilling you let us down charlie intil gas hit almost $4.00 a Gallon and people were in the streets with pitchforks cursing you for backing Crap and Trade and no drilling. You Flip Flopped on that because it was popular, not because you believed in anything. That’s when you lost us. Check out Chris Christie if you want to learn waht a Spine is. On November 3rd I‘ll see you in the unemployment line thanks to Obama’s Agenda of absolutely no Stimulus into new construction or Infrastructure. Buh Bye and good riddance. Go Rubio and thank Kendrick for exposing a cockroach.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:07pmMeek just won’t accept or trust his lilly white (GOP Turncoat) DFL massa’ yet, and doesn’t want to fall in line and eat the racist plantation pancakes Bill Clinton was serving up, even at the risk of handing GOP control of the state over to a Cuban American.
Meek is rejecting Crist just as the GOP party has because the ******* can’t be trusted.
Good for him.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 6:28pmI think that would be a bit akin to Obama dropping out of the race if Clinton were to win the nomination in 2012, were she to decide to run. Obama is too self-important to do that, and it’s looking like Crist is kind of like that, too. Go figure, a Democrat feeling self-important…

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 3:25pmThis should be proof to blacks that the demorats (progressives) will throw them under the bus, with no hesitation, if it means they will lose what power they have. When will these people learn they are being used. What will it take for blacks to figure it out and realize it’s been the dems that have kept them oppressed for all these years. Look for the truth.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 3:06pmThe issue is why is the Former “Republican” candidate now so chummy with the Democratic candidate and is his “buddy”? I know Crist has already said he will caucus with the Democratic party but this just goes to show how tight he really is with the Dem’s.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 3:01pmIt’s all nuts! That Christ has any political currency in itself is bizarre. That he is outranking Meek says a lot about Meek’s plausibility.
Christ is a smarmy political hypocrite. But a welcome patsy for the dems in power today.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:58pmNot to defend Crist, but I can’t shake the feeling that Meek and Clinton set Crist up to look like a fool, and he took the bait. They had to do something to get Meek a stronger chance, and they knew Crist was taking votes away from them. I don‘t believe Clinton was dumb enough to think Crist could be trusted to be loyal to the DNC when he’s shown himself to be without loyalty, so I don’t believe Clinton really wanted Meek out of the race. And the voicemail says that Crist was returning Meek’s call. Meek made it sound like Crist had been the one constantly calling him. And the fact that he’s calling Meek “buddy” tells me he had reason to believe they were on the same page. So now Crist knows he can‘t trust the dems and he’s burned too many bridges with the GOP.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:55pmIn fact, the Blaze should drop this story, unless it wants to change the angle on it to an attack of the absent minded dumb false reporting by a junior FOX news reporter out on the campaign trail, because there is nothing here further to discuss.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:47pmthe assertion that Crist is going to as Meek about dropping out is a leap. All Crist said was that he was returning Meek’s missed phone call. And I think calling just before 5a when they are both attending a rally where Meek is speaking @ 8:30a is not unreasonable. Don’t blow is out of proportion unless we know for sure.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:45pmThe reporter says “Right” like it’s ok, you see I’m too dumb to know that I reported a falsehood, but that‘s just the way it goes as long as I’m here thinking that I’m doing my job. Maybe he should ask himself, just what his job is if it’s not reporting the facts. Or maybe he should be reassigned to do the weather instead. Me thinks the boss will have a few words with him about what reporting the news is truly all about. At least the host at the network cleared up this reporters misleading comments from the campaign trail.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:19pmNo, actually what would be nice is if he beat Crist but still lost to Rubio. As a Floridian I am sick of Crist and his back room behavior. Anyone who thinks he wasn‘t trying to pull one on Meeks doesn’t know Charlie. He would probably sell that wife of convenience down the river if it would help his political career. After all, isn’t that why he got married in the first place?! Meeks needs to stand his ground for the sake of his supporters and his future in politics. I don‘t agree with him but he doesn’t deserve to be railroaded.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:40pmWhat to do, what to do? I know! Let’s try to get the Democrat candidate, a black man, to drop out so that the white candidate who used to be a Republican until he got beat out in the primaries will have a chance against the Republican candidate, the one who beat him earlier. Christ promises to vote with the Democrats. Talk about party loyalty, support, and the black candidate is a nice guy, but hey, the white guy who is not even a Democrat has a better chance so good-bye Kendrick Meeks.
