Meeks Admits He Talked Withdrawl With Clinton: We Discussed The ‘Rumor’

Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Kendrick Meek made the rounds this morning to discuss the story that former President Bill Clinton asked Meek to drop out of the race. A request he reportedly fulfilled twice.

And while now he is denying he ever agreed to withdraw, he is admitting that he did talk about the possibility with Clinton.

Initially this morning, Meek wasn’t as forthcoming with Fox. He started by saying that he and Clinton only discussed “the race in general,” and that Clinton never asked him to get out. That‘s despite the Clinton camp’s claims to the contrary:

However Time magazine’s Mark Halperin continued pressing Meek on the issue later in the morning, and he admitted that he and Clinton did in fact discuss the topic:

As Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey says, “Meek will only say that he and Clinton discussed the rumor, but that’s probably bad enough.”

It’s obvious that the black man was asked to step down and get out of the way. Meek can ride the bus but he cannot drive it. Clinton is not the first black president, that’s just another plantation joke to keep his voters smiling while they suffer through poverty. Meek seems to be a good man and Clinton tried to play him but Meek didnt fall of the turnip truck. Meek is most likely a political liar as Clinton would in fact ask him to step down. Meek won’t make the Pennsylvania mistake. He’s not going to win.

Just goes to show you who his real friends are? And it also shows who the “establishment” Republicans are and who they are in bed with. Can you say Charlie Crist and Lisa Murkowski – the Dems love these two; they hide in the shadows and say they are conservatives.

Meek should wake up and smell the roses – maybe he will switch sides. He may want to watch the video from the Raging Elephants: http://www.ragingelephants.org/ He may learn something!

Get all the people you know to VOTE on Tuesday – send the message loud & clear!

Tngirl, I’ve taught in Tenn. schools and you can set your mind at ease at least on this one point – phonics is still being taught, although I taught kids to read using other methods as well. You should be concerned about the way history and ethics are being taught. Poor Mr. Meek. Doesn’t he know what the meaning of pawn is? Mr. clinton shame on you for being obama’s lackey!

Leave it to a Democrat to keep the black man down! I wonder if he used the phrase “You need to go sit in the back of the bus!” So sad, when will African -Americans realize they are mere pawns to the Liberal Democrates. Being used and adused in order to gain favor and votes – when will their eyes be open?

I have a small bet with someone about this very thing. I think Meek will drop 0ut in the next 48 hours due to EXTREME pressure.
Is any one aware how much the ‘powers that be’ wants Crist to be where they can use him?
If i lose this bet then i will have a notch of respect for this democrat, and this democrat ONLY.
But, I hold no hope that he has not already been threatened beyond his wildest dreams and is just spending his last hours with his head in his hands.

@BlazingBlonde, I think if Meek drops out, it will be because he got a real good deal via the Obama administration.

“Mason-Dixon: Rubio Has a “Commanding and Insurmountable” Lead”….Republican Rubio leading the field with 45 percent, followed by Gov. Charlie Crist at 28 percent and Meek at 21 percent. Only 6 percent of voters in the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. poll said they were undecided. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/mason-dixon-rubio-has-commanding-and-insurmountable-lead_513291.html

I am very disappointed that a former President would do this, but I am not surprised. We cannot believe anything Clinton tells us. After all, we can recall when he lied to the entire country on national TV. He will find a way to get around this…at someone else’s expense. Meek has a good opportunity here to become an honorable man and it will go a long way toward’s his future.

Meeks would be wise to change his political affiliation for future runs. It is obvious the Dems tried to throw him under the bus which never would have happened had he won as a Conservative. He would be defended to the hilt if he practiced those values. Obama sided with the “white” guy (with a bad tan) over the African-American – principles be damned. Wake up and smell the stench of “win, no matter who gets trampled in the process”, African-Americans. You are still being used.

That’s the problem, our educational system doesn’t teach them to read so they learn by example. We need to clean house and have a major overhaul. Tenure needs to go and school districts need to be held accountable. Back to the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic, and real history. Teacher’s that care about children and their futures and not about their pension.

My kids were fortunate in that they had my kindergarten teacher (her school taught ages 3,4 & 5) and she taught phonetically. They also went to public school (they are now 32, 37 & 39) but by the time the youngest got to jr high school they didn’t have to read or do book reports. They had really dummied down. We sent him to Catholic high school and, amazingly enough, they didn’t do many book reports there either. I don‘t know if it is laziness on the teacher’s part or if they want their school‘s national grade to look better than it would if people found out kids can’t read. That is why I think they need to go back to square one and start with basics. It is sad to me (and FL has no child left behind) that so many kids don’t get what they need to survive – hence the street looks good and a ward of the government the easy way out. Get rid of tenure and keep the teacher’s willing to do what is necessary to educate.

Even Chrissy Matthews called her out on it! And our newspapers are IGNORING IT. I emailed my paper and they said it was a mistake when I brought up the fact that she LIED and that it is usually the LIE that trips people up .. they would NOT respond.

Seems all the Dems have left in Florida is cheating and lying … but the MSM are letting them get away with it!
