Meet the ‘Mosquebusters’: British Legal Team Out to Stop Islamic Influence in its Tracks

Meet the Mosquebusters — or as they’re officially known, the Law and Freedom Foundation – a group of anti-Islamic vigilantes in Britain with a subtler approach than their peers: Rather than picket Mosque sites, or lead demonstrations of any kind, they sue under Britain’s byzantine legal code to make it illegal for those Mosques to be built in the first place.

Anti-Islamic sentiment in Britain is not new. Groups such as such as England Is Ours and Stop Islamisation of Europe have, for some time, been defending what they see as traditional British/Western culture against a group they see as closeted Islamic extremists who will kill “infidels” or take slaves at the drop of a hat. In fact, they believe that the Koran urges precisely that. Some — like the English Defence League (EDL) — verge on paramilitary fascism in their use of tactics. The Mosquebusters, however, are apparently clever enough to avoid those obvious trappings of pro-Western resistance. Foreign Policy Magazine describes their approach as “a war against Islam, but one that often resembles a bureaucratic turf battle more than a clash of civilizations.”

It’s not religious practice, claim the Mosquebusters, it’s parking. Or noise pollution. Or building codes. And with downloadable petition templates, generic letters to councilors, and free legal advice for begrudged locals, it‘s Boby’s mission to make it as easy as possible for your average, disgruntled suburbanite to join in. If there’s a trial or hearing about planned construction, Boby will come down to the courthouse to provide free legal representation; if a mosque site has been proposed, he’ll arrange volunteers to paper a neighbourhood with flyers. But the Mosquebusters aren’t just a resource for aggrieved pensioners — the group actually wants its volunteers to spread out, actively trolling city planning offices and public records for mosque applications. “It is satisfying detective work, rooting around Islamic deviousness!” reads the instructional e-mail sent to volunteers.

The key message, especially for those with concerns about scandals like the one surrounding the Mosque being built at Ground Zero last year, is as follows:

It’s very seldom that a Mosque outfit will put forward a Mosque calling it a Mosque. They will always try and say it’s for the benefit of the community, it’s a prayer room, it’s a community center for all faiths or all ethnicities. No, it’s not, it’s going to be a Mosque, and if you disobey parts of Islamic law whilst you’re on the premises, you’d better look out. They go under all kinds of names and local authorities lap it up because local authorities are afraid to nullify the politically correct gravy train that they’re riding. It’s good business for them, and things go through under all kind of euphemisms, but they are Mosques.

      collbuzz, yes. i love it when people acuse me of islamophobia. i tell them that a phobia is indeed a fear and if they are not afraid of islam then they are fools. the koran specifically states that believers are to kill or enslave infidels. they can’t do it until they have sufficent numbers so they practice both a violent jihad and a stealth jihad. across the u.s. you can see the stealth jihad. 911 of course was a very visible act of violent jihad. what are we doing about it? nothing. infact the president just apologized to the barbarians for burning korans. i say burn them all. the book is a never ending source of evil.

      They have really stepped up their building in the US. It is a grey area we are going to fail at. We can’t stop it. Conventional wisdom says its diversity that makes us great. Unfortunately that’s not true.

      We became great because we were a christian nation everyone wanted to come to, to become American. New groups want us to take on their customs language and laws (Sharia).

      Here in U.S. the primary directive shouldn’t be about building codes and proper zoning, but rather educating the public about what the Muslims believe and what they teach. They have a well funded P.R. team(s), constantly using multi media to misinform the American citizens and to blind the public eye. And most of us just take whatever CNN or Fox says as true. We want to believe that suicide bombers and some U.S. military shrink with rank are isolated incidents, and most Muslims are “good” people…but the truth is if they are Muslim, their “holy” book is filled with their “god” commanding them over 150 times to “chop off hands, heads”, call every able-bodied Muslim to jihad, so if a group had already committed acts of war against us, and had been since Thomas Jefferson was ambassador to France why do we tolerate them? Why are our “leaders” such cowards? Let’s stop this mindless stupidity once and for all, detain all Muslims, seize all assets acquired while residing in the U.S. Then deport them.     Too many of our political leaders to not even recognize the threat of Sharia in our courts… like Chris Christie. Newt Gingrich is the only candidate who has stated that he would make sure that Sharia law would never be recognized in our courts, just as he would make English the official language of government in America. CAIR is using our laws and our freedoms against us. An Imam asserted the other day that Sharia is incompatible with democracy. We know that, but our political establishment refuses to admit it. Political correctness is destroying our country, and we need a bold and fearless leader like Newt Gingrich who speaks the truth without any concern for what the liberal media, the political establishment, or the politically correct will say!

      You are 100% correct. How can people worry about Newt‘s three marriages when he is the only one who calls out radical Islam for what it is and vows to stop it in it’s tracks? Make no mistake. If we allow this cancer to grow, it will consume us. We should fight this battle on legal grounds all the way to the supreme court if necessary, because the mosques promote sharia law, which is totally contrary to our liberty and our freedoms guaranteed by our constitution. Therefore, they are not just building a church or a place of worship, but a piece of real estate that works as a separate country apart from our laws yet built on our soil. This is anathema and cannot be tolerated if we are to survive as a republic. I don‘t have a law degree but I plan to dig up as much info as I can on new building permits and challenge their legality based entirely on the Koran and it’s stated purpose. If a sitting judge wants to put his job and reputation on the line and co-sign for child abuse, sex slavery, honor killings, pedophelia, and the authorized killing of infidels, let him. We will be sure to proclaim it loud and clear to all Americans just who that sitting judge is.

I made under 40 thousand a year, paid taxes and never felt “poor” but had indoor plumbing & food in my belly & an opportunity to seek employment and the “desire to work”, sometimes 3 jobs….from cleaning a public toilet to being an insurance underwriter etc.. This is such “crap” that liberal’s just spew-out when they know they cannot win a debate. Poor? Gosh, some people in other countries make less than a dollar a day and live in huts, if they are lucky.       Actually, this kind of opposition to building mosques is rather akin to (if not quite as extreme as) what would happen if you tried to build a church in those countries. Maybe it’s the people who applaud this sort of thing who need to embrace Islam.

    Europe has the same problem that we have with Mexicans – these people have beliefs that turn their environment into a hell-hole, and they flee their own messes only to bring their mess into a new culture, and they breed like mad and infect and destroy their new home. The best way to let these people to realize what a mess they make of themselves is to force them to stay in their own feces. It is far to easy of a life to flee your own messes. It is far better to make them stay at home and fix their own problems.

      A “Mexican” is afforded that title mainly due to an accident of birth. It tells us nothing much else. He may be a Christian, (Catholic, Mormon or Protestant). In the popular venacular he might be a US citizen or somone from Mexico (legal or illegal). His moral and cultural standards may be better or worse than your own. Let us keep the focus on “illegal aliens.” Of Mexican, European or other origin.

      That is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. How could you compare the two? At least Hispanics eventually assimilate into our culture after a couple generations. Here in Houston I know dozens of second and third generation Mexican Americans who are as American as I am. Moslems on the other hand would rather die, or even kill their own children before becoming Americanized. I agree illegal immigration is a problem, but don‘t compare it to Islam’s attempt to conquer the world.

      You see that‘s the problem with both the muslin’s and the illegals, the liberals who want them here NEVER live next to them, they always live in gated communities were the muslin‘s and illegals can’t afford to buy.

      Once you have them move into your neighborhood it’s not to long until the neighborhood is over run with them. You see they NEVER want to conform to the American way of life, they ALWAYS want YOU to conform to their way of life.

      Once you have alot of them move into your neighborhood, they start making you feel VERY UNWELCOME anywhere you go in your neighborhood, soon after this starts happening you find that your other neighbors start to move out and this only allows MORE of then to move in and soon you find yourself as the last man standing, and to top it all off once this happens you can kiss your property values goodbye because nobody but muslin’s or illegals want to buy in your neighborhood then.

      People had better wake up to the threat that this plague represents to our freedoms and way of life.

      More accurately the number of muslims increases very slightly as a function of world population growth. One only has to review the numbers of people attempting to illegally enter Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Egypt etc. to understand why the muslim population in flint Michigan is on the rise. Why would anyone, given a choice, live in one of those islamic cr*p holes.
      The only thing that has been invented in the middle east is the “burka” when the oil is gone in 50 years the place will be one giant Afghanistan.

      If the advent of Islam had taken place at the same time as the birth of Christianity, there would be more Muslims than Christians in the world, but Islam is making great strides to overcome and supersede not just Christianity, but all other ways of life.

      The Koran teaches that Jesus is born of a virgin, why is it no other prophet is??? Not even Muhammed.

      You can not teach that Jesus is born of a virgin then tell me that God is not his father.

      Islam makes no sense. There was never a need for it and God doesnt convert by the sword. What is a forced conversion worth to God. He who knows the heart. A forced conversion is meaningless. Therefor the entire foundation of Islam was and is meaningless. It is a perversion of the word that seeks to steal the glory of God, which is Christ our lord and savior.

      I don’t claim anything. I quoted from the Bible. Jesus does not have an earthly father. Jesus’ birth was a miraculous sign to the Lost Sheep of the House Israel. As proof that there is a God. God sends to His people whatever He feels they need in order to accept Him as God.

      During Jesus’ time they were making great strides with medicine and healing. That‘s why Jesus healing’s involved the blind, lepers, giving back life to the dead and healing a woman that had issues with her blood.

      During Moses’ time it was magic. God used the miracle of turning Moses’ rod into a snake as proof to the non believers that there is a God.

      During the time of Prophet Muhammad it was poetry. The Qur‘an read in it’s original language Arabic, is said to bring men to tears because it is so eloquent.

      You asked why Jesus was the only prophet or messenger of God, to be born by a miracle. I explained it to you and you completely ignored the answer. Are we going to have a dialog or are we just talking to hear ourselves talk?

      Jesus was the mightiest messenger of God. David was a man after God’s own heart. Moses is the only prophet of God to speak to Him directly. All the others talked to the angel Gabriel or other angels. Solomon was the wisest of all Gods messengers. God says that the Prophet Muhammad was the greatest man that ever lived.

      They’re all in a brotherhood. God can elevate them to whatever status He wants to, but the rest of us have to see them as equals.

To commence me wee beastie of a dissertation; So what if Mohammed calls Jesus ‘the Christ’ if he(Mohammed) denies everything that ‘the Christ’ implies, and what’s more declares Jesus to be a liar. Surah 9:30b “And the Nasara said, ‘The Christ is the son of Allah.’ This is their saying with their mouths; they repeat the saying of those who became infidels before. Allah engages in war with them and how perverted they are.” This saying goes utterly against what Jesus said in John 3:16 ‘For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’ and yet again in John 9:35b-37 “’Do you believe in the Son of God?’ 36 He answered and said, ‘Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?’ And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.’” Mohammed’s contradictions of Jesus continue on for far longer than I care to relate here, but I’ll be sure to make them plain if ye care to argue the point. And yet again ye unfurl these ridiculously false statements saying that Muslim men aren’t promised virgins in the afterlife, ye ken I must straighten yer words.       @Lukerw as I understand it, and what I read, they consider ground they are going to build a mosque on to be holy, unless it has been desecrated, then they cannot build upon that land. What desecrates the ground…pigs blood. If pigs blood were spilled upon the site where a mosque was to be built, it couldn’t be built there any longer. So, it doesn’t really matter if they declare the ground holy, once it has been desecrated, there is nothing they can do. @rose-ellen what kind of name is that for a terrorist? Don’t you have an OWS protest to go to? Hopefully you will have a nice trip back to afghanistan/syria or iran.

      They have been invading and occupying our land for a long time. We have to put up with obstacles like you, before we can even confront them. But an REAL answer to question is:
      If they invaded us, then they would get beat down. Because we have rights. We have the right to free speech. The right to practice reiligion as we see fir. And the right to bear arms. There‘s a few others that I’m forgetting. But I only need the first two amendments.

      You’ve gotta be kidding…I guess you are for honor killings? Muslims imposing their believes in the work place…etc etc…they live by Shari Law IAW their Koran…have you not read the Koran? It is taught to their children (indoctrination) at a very early age…encouraged to memorize the entire Koran while not attending a school for education…they can not and will not separate their religion from their everyday politics…and that includes government…no separation of church and state with those folks…Case in point, is the Iraqi Constitution that was developed when Bush was president. It includes Sharia Law.
