Meet the White House’s New Story Squasher & ‘Director of Progressive Media’

Just so you know, your tax dollars are now paying for a “director of progressive media & online response” within the White House. Translation: a dedicated enforcer and story squasher that loves the liberal media.
“This week, Jesse Lee will move from the new media department into a role in the communications department as Director of Progressive Media & Online Response,” Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said in an internal memo provided to The Huffington Post. “For the last two years, Jesse has often worn two hats working in new media and serving as the White House’s liaison with the progressive media and online community. Starting this week, Jesse will take on the second role full time working on outreach, strategy and response.”
How does HuffPo take that? “The Obama administration has created and staffed a new position tucked inside their communications shop for helping coordinate rapid response to unfavorable stories and fostering and improving relations with the progressive online community.”
If the name Jesse Lee sounds familiar it’s probably because back in 2009 he wrote a White House blog post bashing Glenn Beck.
Via a new official White House Twitter account, Lee has already started the spin:
Lee’s progressive pedigree makes him a natural fit for the position. He’s worked at the Democratic National Committee and also served as a media adviser to Nancy Pelosi.

We can either talk about real ways to fix it, or we can just go out and convince people everything’s fine and say “we won”. All while our society circles the bowl on the way down the drain. Good job public media for shedding light on the truth.

************
Why in the world does this story make you think that ‘our President hates America and her citizens so much’? From what I have seen, our President is working hard to help America and her citizens.
You also wrote: ‘Why in the world don’t these people go to Europe.’ FYI–people who think differently from you are no less American than you. Democrats don‘t need to ’go to Europe.’ However, we can all learn from things that Europe is doing more sucessfully than us–public transport and health care for example.
Maybe fascists like you need to move to out of our country instead.

Food prices going through the roof with his policies? Unemployment staying at 9% for record period? Giving waivers to his friends from his lame pelosicare ( I give her credit, he stood on the sidelines)? Bribing politicians to get things passed? Not protecting our borders? Again, I could go on and on.

Posted on May 24, 2011 at 10:35am@Baikonur — I am in Europe regularly — right now in fact, and my impression is that the people here deal with a nightmare of bureaucracy for pretty much everything they want to do. As a rule of thumb, things here are very expensive and poorly made and taxed greatly. Health care? It’s easy if you need a band-aid, but you’ll be waiting for anything serious and the paperwork is staggering. The paperwork for anything the Government has a hand in here, which is pretty much everything, is thick; and the lines you must wait in to get it reviewed is like an occupation of its own. Mass transit? Not any different that the US in ease comfort or cleanliness – but it is more expensive. Perhaps you have some other simplistic views on things Europe does better? Excepting, of course beer in Germany.

Posted on May 24, 2011 at 10:42ambaikinor, if that is what you see then you have confirmed my suspicion, you are a complete FOOL ! Her point which is obvious to most intelligent people is that there are plenty of countries that are already fascist/communist where a fascist/communist might be quite happy living. America should be reserved for those who love individualism and personal freedom protected by the Constitution of the United States as originally written.
Report Post »Mustangrider
Posted on May 24, 2011 at 10:51ambaikonur, Mary lou’s point is that there are plenty of fascist commie countries for fascist commies to live if they want, America was created for freedom loving individuals who want to live under the United States Constitution as written by it’s original creators. Also she didn’t mention democrats as those who hate this country, are you admitting something about yourself?
Report Post »Kitsune
Posted on May 24, 2011 at 10:53amWhat a lot of you collectivist progressives seem to get lost in is this : The larger the population, the more socialism (or communism, if you wish to go that far) falls apart. Socialized Healthcare may be limping along in a country of 3 Million, where not as many TOTAL people (not a percentage) are in a position where the can’t/won’t be a “revenue source”. When you’re dealing with 300 MILLION people, it’s a whole different can or worms, and it just doesn’t work.
Report Post »Drik
Posted on May 24, 2011 at 6:12pmBaikonur, fascists are not the only folks that oppose socialism. And you ought to quote more useful statistics than public transport and healthcare if you wish to bolster your arguements. As a fer instance, most of the European countries do not count their first year infant mortality in their statistics, nor do they exclude deaths from motor vehicle accidents or firearms. When the baby deaths are added and the car wrecks and homicides are taken out, the USA stands multiple iterations higher in both level of overall health as well as lifespan. Probably why the Canooks are not lining up to hit Italy or France for their paid-out-of-pocket health care excursions while fleeing their own inadequate socialist health care debacle.
Report Post »And with their economies having reduced the average person in Europe to a standard of living that our average living-in-poverty person would sneer at, putting most of them out of cars and on foot or bicycles, their public trasportation is a fill in at best. Public transportation is still the most expensive way of cost per passenger mile to move people.
If you have a valid argument and counter to the original post, you have not made it with these.

Dems herded all the minorities into large public housing complexes, knowing there wasn’t enough employment opportunities, confining them to government handouts. 14 million more people on food stamps since obama took office. Absolutely right, You and Orwell. We are dangerously close to the “Ministry of Truth” here.
Report Post »Orwell showed how “Minny True” told the only story important to you, and that “Ignorance is strength”.
However, it is only “Strength” to the people who control the ignorance (and the Ignorant).

Posted on May 24, 2011 at 1:03pmAmazing how the teeny-brained, deluded, liberal lemmings, abiding in their teeny, deluded, liberal lemming bubble, actually believe that America is as easily and blindly led as they are. They are obviously the least intelligent among us.
They can sit and spin and weave all the deceit they want to. America is on to them and above it all.
Come 2012, when the traitor-in-chief and his minions are kicked to the curb, they will be as shell-shocked as Harold Camping‘s followers are because the world didn’t end last Saturday.
Delusion is a bubble that gets smaller and smaller, only to burst, imploding on all within. The teeny-brained, deluded, liberal lemmings are not to be feared – They Are To Be Pitied! Standing next to “Don’t Tread On Me” Americans, the teeny-brained, deluded, liberal lemmings look pale and sickly. Why do you think they’re freaking out all the time? They are cowardly and scared of “True Grit” Americans! In the Presence of Greatness all they know how to do is throw tantrums and sling mud and whine. Yep! They are the least intelligent and most immature among us.

Posted on May 24, 2011 at 2:19pmwhy are my tax dollars being used to quell free speech?
free speech gave us our constitution
free speech gave us the United States of America.
free speech gave us American Ingenuity which produced the millions of inventions mankind benefits from
WHY, then?
WHY, Oh, WHY are you trying to shut down our freedom of speech by attacking those who disagree with you?
That is called DEMOCRACY!
If you stifle free speech, you stifle DEMOCRACY!
THAT SURELY CANNOT BE GOOD!
SHAME ON YOU! Mr. President!

Posted on May 24, 2011 at 3:16pmObama’s father precluded his being a “natural born citizen” meaning born on U.S. soil of U.S. citizen parents; he is further ineligible by dual citizenship for being born a British citizen pursuant to the British Nationality Act of 1948, as his father was a British citizen of colonial Kenya.[1]
The Art 2, Sec 1, exemption from being a NBC, “or a citizen of the United States …” wasn’t needed if NBC means just a citizen!
Each authoritative definition of a NBC stipulates citizen parents (plural). First Congress, Ses II, Chp 3, Sec I, 104, 1790: “the children of citizens.” Bingham, House floor, 1866: “of parents not owing allegiance.” Supreme Court, Minor v. Happersett, 1874: “of parents who were its citizens.” Senate Res 511, 2008: “born to American citizens.”
Congress is hiding behind the birth certificate controversy rather than act and jeopardize reelection. Their deceptive dereliction of duty was deftly codified by rhetorically requesting guidance from the CRS on just the birth certificate issue. The expected reply was the infamous Maskell memorandum.[2]
Demand congress immediately remove Obama in accordance with their oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

i respectfully disagree,
a rock solid center would nulify a far reaching left or a push to right.
a concrete center like Ron Paul who will stick ONLY to the original playbook.
the right cannot fix this, only the constitution
Ron Paul must rise
a pretty face, or a success in business is just more tail wagging.
all these topics are Ron Pauls life.
i am so proud that many of my fellow americans are beginning to see the truth
