Michael Moore: Gingrich and Palin are ‘Our Taliban’

Appearing on “Real Time” with Bill Maher on Friday, film producer Michael Moore said that we should consider people such as Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin “our Taliban” because “their level of bigotry is so un-American.”

He also claimed that the McDonald’s near Ground Zero “killed more people than the nineteen hijackers.”

Technically more than 3,000 will die if you want to wait and see how many die later due to that huge cloud of dust that covered the area. To compare people that voluntarily eat at Mickey D’s and the over 3,000 that died that had no choice of even being there is wrong. Everyone breathing that stuff will most likely develop something and die due to breathing all of that stuff. Mike Moore is the lap dog for the progressive movement, Goebbels would be so proud of this protege.

How dare he compare two conservative leaders who don’t agree with the liberal drivel to the taliban!? They‘re cutting off people’s heads and blowing people up, and Gingrich and Palin are just voicing their opinions. Un-American? No, this IS the most American thing you can do, speak freely in dissent against the status quo. There would be no reason for protection of speech if all the speech was popular. It is the unpopular speech that needs protecting. And we conservatives are not suggesting we go out and kill people, or inciting people to violence, so any comparison to those low down, dirty, no good, murderous terrorists is no less than SLANDER.

  He probably holds stock in McDonald’s competitors. The government just took over all the student loans as more college kids die from binge drinking than have died in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting there. Does Moore care? No way. Meanwhile, illegals are given automatic citizenship for joining all the binge drinking or joining the military where they can‘t understand orders and don’t have enough of an education to count or write. Now that’s progress Moore style. No one holds a gun to someone‘s head and orders them to eat BigMac’s, however the quickest way to smuggle drugs across the border is binge drinking. When the world stops laughing at this bunch maybe we might be able to talk about personal responsibility and growth and things that matter.

  You’re right, I don’t have your history of slavery. My relative came over with the Mayflower at Plymouth Rock and of his own free will. But my father was an alcoholic – should I blame the bars and alcohol for his past, and when he blacked out and the police had to come find me at age 5? I don’t blame you for his problem anymore than you should blame me for the past – both were horrible at the time but times have changed. I am a tea party member and a Glenn Beck follower because I want for you what I want for my 3 children and 5 grandchildren, a chance to do with your life whatever you dream you want to do. That’s it. My stepfather’s family fled Hungary and came to the U.S. (legally), he worked his way up on Wall Street (before it was demonized) and made for his family the American Dream. Look forward and have a dream, I’m sure you can do it.
