Michele Bachmann Demands NBC Apologize for ‘Lyin’ Ass Bit**’ Entrance Music

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann on Wednesday demanded NBC apologize for the walk-on music used for her appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” when the house band played an instrumental version of the song “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.”

In her first public comments about the Monday incident, Bachmann said during an appearance on Fox News she has accepted Fallon’s apology, but now NBC needs to address the issue. The Minnesota congresswoman said it was sexist and showed bias against conservative women.

“If that had been Michelle Obama, who’d come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they could have fired the drummer, or at least suspended him,” Bachmann said.

Fallon apologized to Bachmann Tuesday night on Twitter, writing “I’m honored that @michelebachmann was on our show yesterday and I’m so sorry about the intro mess. I really hope she comes back.”

Bachmann said Wednesday she plans to speak to Fallon about the incident, but said she remains a fan of his and hopes to return to his show again.

Still, she said the network’s silence is unacceptable.

“This is clearly a form of bias on the part of the Hollywood entertainment elite and sexism as well,” Bachmann said Wednesday. “This wouldn’t be tolerated if it was Michelle Obama, it shouldn‘t be tolerated if it’s a conservative woman either.”

The song choice — which the The Roots’ drummer boasted on Twitter about playing — drew outrage Tuesday, including from Glenn Beck, who called for Fallon to fire the band.

Bachmann said she didn’t know what the song was at the time and only found out about the controversy the next day.

Just like the non-remorseful apologies from the drummer and Fallon himself. They are idiot liberals who don’t care about what they do until they are caught.

Here is something interesting, there is a Florida Conservative Group that is going after all the anti-Romney people for their hatred of Romney. They have some interesting points in the video: http://www.thedailycandidate.com/video/2011/nov/women_group_romney.html

Foundingfather, You really have the wrong name here sir. You can start worrying now. You see, I do not just come on The Blaze for all my research of the peoples mindset. I actually believe that The Blaze is the worse place to get that info as a lot of Blazers are Progressive Neocons. Paul is getting support from many Independents and middle Dems which could set up a third party run. If Paul does not get the nomination for Repub, we will ask him to run third party. I believe with what I have seen in the liberal blogs, that he will have a good chance of winning on a third party. I know you find that hard to believe as you are a Progressive type thinker, but it is true. I believe Paul can get 40-45% in the general election between the Dems, Ind, and a big handful of Rebups. Sorry guy.

The biggest mistake Fallon made was hiring a black band that indulges in ghetto-talking trash who are followers of songs that belong in the repetoire of black rappers.

If he felt a need to show how pro-black he can be, couldn’t he have hired a black band that is known to be a less rapper-friendly bunch?

Glenn is right. The entire bunch should be purged. Their type of music preferences belongs in Africa, not here.

Since NBC is so far to the left extreme, I doubt we will see an apology.

I have a very different take on this pile of media crap that was dumped on Michelle. You have scored big time with the American public. As every day passes the citizens of this country are becoming more and more aware of the bias in media…news to “entertainment.” Whatever credibility they have is eroding and the morons don’t understand this reality due to ignorance – or they just don’t care. Ideology trumps civility, respect and common decency. That’s part of the liberal/progressive mindset – the greater good at the expense of the individual.

I say to the butt-head media – keep doing it, continue to show just how biased you are with juvenile and or nasty behavior!! Bring it on, pile it on!!

      Why?

It will generate an even LARGER tidal wave of revolt and rejection – to the socialists who engineer this bias – next November!!

Hang tough Michelle – it‘s a long race and you’re on the RIGHT track!

i am a democrat BUT “I agree” with you all on this topic. It is just ridiculous how it has become acceptable in American to ATTACK anyone who does not share the same opinions regarding politics or religion. Michelle Bauchman deserves to be respected as does any person regardless of political party. She firmly believes in what she advocates and this type of thing is absolutely uncalled for and I do believe that “not just the drummer” needs to pay the consequences for their actions. I am sure that Jimmy Fallon knew ahead of time that this song was going to be presented when Michelle Bauchman walked on stage. This type of disrespect is unacceptable in my opinion. NBC does owe her and the American People an apology. This is what is wrong with America today.
It should not be tolerated from either side. We can agree to disagree without belittleing each other. When push comes to shove “WE” the people all want the same things for our country, we have a difference of opinion in who we believe might get us there is all. Politics has been “springerized” and it is a disgrace and an embarassment to our country and to each of us as as individuals. This drummer did damage to his own party while expressing his own opinion. We dont care about his personal opinion. We want RESPECT for all. Anyone who thinks that this is funny or supports this type of behavior is an idiot. Michelle Bauchman, I personally apologize to you and to all Republicans for this outrage.

Unfortunately, too many people don’t see things like that. It’s just easier to be snarky and mean and to call everybody else a hater or a (fill in the blank)-phobe or something-ist. You are a FAIR person, who seems willing to listen to the other sides argument for any new bill, then make up your mind according to what you hear. The best that can come from this type of thinking is that America will prosper. Thank you for your thoughts and respectful comment. No one needs to be desecrated during running for any office. Our society has learned to look for ANY flaw in the contender for any office and then to seek to destroy the candidate over that issue. We ALL need to realize that we are ALL just human beings first and we MUST work with each other, or else we WILL lose our nation. We are so very close to losing it now to Marxism and Communism. Let us gracefully back away from the brink, and get on about the business of changing ALL of our elected officials, replacing them with people like this person, who could even be a member of the Tea Party, just a fair minded person who has a political philosophy, but is willing to listen to the other sides logic to see if there is a better way to implement change. God will Bless you, sir.

Let me add; Progressives ARE the enemy of this nation. It does NOT matter which Party they are found in. Our job is to route out ALL Progressives and replace them. I believe that Term Limits MUST be implemented for the House and the Senate. 4 Yr maximum term and 2 terms maximum for any one person. Once a Progressive is known, they MUST be replaced in the following election. Never again can anyone rest in the knowledge that their job is to be a permanent member of Congress, so they can now just do as they please! We also need to get away from the Lobbyist system, which is bringing corruption to our elected officials.

Also telling is that Sassy56 did not give any examples of the ‘filth’ Fox is apparently spewing – probably because she never watched Fox in her life but only regurgitates what she reads from far left websites – pathetic. I would think if Sassy56 was an honest person, she would be just as outraged to see someone she agrees with being mistreated as someone she disagrees with. Especially when that person was invited to appear on Fallon’s show – he is a pathetic human being that could not even spare the time to apologize to Ms. Bachmann on the air but ‘tweeted’ it. His show sunk to the level of a school yard bully. Funny how those on the left talk about being anti-bully but are always engaging in the act themselves.

I agree that NBC owes an apology. Sniping behind one’s back is low enough, but this goes too far. NBC hierarchy should be all over this. This is one more example of how the so-called mainstream media is totally partisan and why people like me refuse to watch them anymore. I haven’t for years. Hear that sponsors? I’m not seeing your ads.

Fallon apologizes in a TWEET?? Come on. Unless he picks up the phone and speaks directly to her to make an apology it doesn’t count. Chances are someone else does his tweeting for him.

It is all in good fun. They do that to all the guests. When Michelle Obama was on there they played “I Like Big Butts, and I Cannot Lie” (by Sir Mix-A-Lot).

Wonder what they’ll play when Bill Clinton is on the show?? Or, Hillary? Makes me smile just thinking about it!

Well, at least they don’t do it on national tv! Fallon’s band picked a public venue to promote their dislike for Bachmann – no class.

This format is hardly a network TV show. You make no distinctions? Mrs.Bachmann is a distinguished member of congress and a fine human being , even though a long shot ,she could be the next President of the United States. For a network ( even one as blatantly and hopelessly leftwing as NBC ) to allow this to slide without repercussions is pathetic.

Both parties have their share of stupid, lazy and childish. It has been my experience that partisan politics attracts such simplistic and aggressive personalities… hell, it depends upon it.
So the left is revealed to be opportunistically misogynistic? Shocking.
Bachman’s handlers failed, also. They didn’t vet this detail before the walk on. Trusting souls….
I say if the argument ad hominem is your only recourse (and your grasp of that tactic amounts to name calling), you are beneath contempt. I’ll only join you in the mud at your insistence and then only briefly. I’d rather flay you with facts than engage in elementary bravado.

The thing you brain damaged liberals don’t get: No one would give two hoots about MB before this. She was hardly a leader in the polls, still is not. So the little joke backfired. Everyone sees that when you attack a woman they way you just did, we conservatives circle the wagons and stick up for her regardless of whether we agree with her. Now she’s the front of the news and could play the victim card (but we conservatives don’t play that card, only liberals play cards). Your true liberal colors shine as the misogynists you are, who’s only ideas about sticking up for women are related to back alley coat hanger encounters. Liberals only stick up for the “politically correct” women like the hypocrits they are. Bunch of cowards!

MACOSCAIR – the difference is we are not on national television inviting Michelle Obama to come on a show as a guest & then snarking behind her back in order to publicly humiliate her. I really do not understand WHY this is so difficult for people to understand. Trying to compare comments made on a blog or news site by private citizens vs. actions taken on a national news media stage is absurd.

I agree that she’s owed an apology. I also believe folks need to be fired over this childesh act, but of course neither will happy. NBC is irrelevent anyway. Other then Leno, I would have all Conservatives banned all appearences on NBC shows until NBC both publically (and I’m not talking about twitter) apologizes and also whoever is the instigator in the band that came up with this idea fired as well. I believe in freedom of speech, but also believe there are consequences to that speech as well. :)

They’ll all part of the socialist change to America campaign where only the liberal elite (low-IQ ********, know-it-alls, corrupt, don’t have clue) losers can use their 1st right amendments w/o being called on it. When in the heat of the battle it is shameful but true, liberal use fowl language. We have all been called every name in the book.

When I am called the b word, I turn it around, I say you may be right, I am a B when it comes to loving my country, defending my freedom and thanking the dear lord everyday for the blessing he has bestowed upon us.

If they accuse me of “lying” I ask them to prove it, otherwise they need to start praying for other americans and not attacking them.

Ms. Bachman could come out on top, instead of the usually victimization response. I learned from my jewish relatives, victims are easily used, Survivors stay strong.
