Michele Bachmann Says She’s an Official Candidate for President

Michele Bachmann Says Shes an Official Candidate for President Talk about stealing the show. Michele Bachmann used the GOP debate this evening in New Hampshire to announce that she’s an official presidential candidate. Politico has more:

Michele Bachmann said on stage just now, in a deliberate bit of stage-stealing, that she’s filed her papers and officially become a candidate for president.

Two sources close to Bachmann told me today that tentative plans had been laid to stage the formal announcement — she’d said she will announce in her native Waterloo, Iowa — as soon as this Wednesday, though Ed Rollins said the plans aren’t set.

The Hill sheds more light on Bachmann’s campaign plans:

The Minnesota lawmaker had made rumblings to suggest that she would announce during a trip to Iowa, but instead chose to do it in New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation primary state.

Bachmann has some campaign infrastructure in place; her chief of staff stepped down earlier this month to take a role with the campaign, and Ed Rollins, a veteran GOP strategist who’d served in the past as a strategist for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), has also signed on to help Bachmann

    She voted for and fully supports the unconstitutional patriot act. She is no patriot and should be treated just like any other RINO.

    I would no more vote for her than I would Romney (Obama lite).

    She should be punished for her treason, not rewarded for it. Impeachment would be a good start.

      100% correct. Infringment for infringment, the patriot act is far more unconstitutional than Obamacare ( i am against both, for the record ). Sadly, the tea party folks can’t seem to undertsand that.

      Hey Texas, Dr. Ron Paul’s views are becoming more commonplace. Why don’t you join the R3VOLUTION to help it become more commonplace? I’ve been supporting Ron Paul since 2007. Everyone who I work with and who truly knows me now knows who Ron Paul is, and what he stands for. Most of them agree with him on most issues, especially the war issue now and can’t believe this government passed the patriot act, when they know what’s actually in it. You can’t go wrong with the guy who always supports the constitution.

      Paul won’t win, AGAIN!, and a vote for Paul means one less vote for someone who can beat Obama!
      I agree with alot of what Paul stands for, but I, like most people, don’t agree with legalizing drugs and other issues that make him completely un-electable. The vision I have in my head of Paul dealing with foriegn leaders, with his manner and lack of candor, just looks like something from SNL…………..

      Well in my opinion they all had good answers pretty much, especially when compared to our current traitor in chief Barak the magic manchild; Nevertheless, Ron Paul is a very consistant loser at running for president. Mitt the twit is a Rino period. I was hoping for more from Cain and he may just be warming up, so he could still be a good candidate maybe. Michelle did well, I like her a lot. Newt the little cameleon is smart but he is too much of a hypocrite and much like a good pair of worn out shoes.I’ll have to see more of the rest but I think there are Rinos among the others somewhere. I’ll decide for sure later after I see more and hear more. I hope that Sarah will toss her hat in too. If I had to pick today it would be Bachmann/Cain.

      After everything Beck has taught all of us do you still believe that voting in a woman President is actually going to change something?? Have you not been paying attention??? The President of the United States is a figure head. He no longer has any power. He does what he is told to do by the Fed, The United Nations, and God knows who else. Vote in anyone you want. Nothing will change. Maybe you’ll get a better actor. Thats all. It is so frustrating to me to see people banging their head against the wall and then complain that it hurts, I tell them to stop but they go right back to banging their head. It’s sad.       Too ba Herman Cain has only answered 2 questions at this point. CNN is totally managing this “debate” and I am totally disgusted so far.

      Yeah, Michelle is doing well too, but is being overcome by the rest collectively. I like what I’ve heard so far from her, and have to admit this is really the first I’ve heard from her. Newt is still showing that he is THE smartest person on the debate, but Paul is showing that you don’t have to have “prepared answers’ like the rest of them.

      I LOVE the proposal for a 5-year suspension of corporate taxes to stimulate internation corporations to come here, American corporations to come back, and employ MILLIONS of Americans, of whose new taxes would greatly surpass all corporate taxes. I have been wanting to scream this absolute fact into the faces of all whom want to raise corporate taxes so they “pay their fair share”. This is an international world. Corporations have so much freedom to base now that raising their taxes would cost so many more jobs. Lower it or make it disappear, and watch the jobs, and revenue, flood in.

      I gotta say, for those in the MSM and others who say this is a weak republican field, I see a COMPLETE field of rock stars, all of which would be GREAT canidates and GREAT Presidents. I would fully support, with NO bad taste in my mouth all those on stage tonight.

      And this is a field missing Governor Mitch Daniels, Governor Chris Christie, Rep. Col. Allen West, and my absolute favorite, Indiana Representative, and MY Rep, Mike Pence.

      I just don’t see how it is possible that barry wins a fair fight next November. I just absolutely can’t see it happening, and I think he doesn’t either. Or rather, his advisors don’t. I see barry like saddam houssein, who was so ego-maniacal that his top advisors lied to him about his chances of beating us in the first gulf war, and continued those lies until we smoked him out of his rat-hole. He truely believes his own smoke up his own butt.
      And that is a very dangerous thing.

      Romney is such an ass-tard political hack….he “looks” smart, and he is, but he is feeding his answers off of the audience reaction from the genuine answers from the other canidates.
      He is a sickening RINO, and he is the exception from my previous post. He is merely an informed “answer machine”, and i believe he will take as much money as he can from lobbyists to make his decisions.

      So far, in MHO, Gingrich and Paul are leading, and the rest of the field are all at a VERY close third.

      obama is the biggest non-entity this Country has EVER had as a leader. More concerned with his hispanic campaign than with the flooding in the Mississippi, more concerned with winning North Carolina’s votes than the wildfires in Texas and Arizona. I am actually STUNNED that he has anything except the most sychophantic followers right now rallying to his “cause”. he is so destructive, and so good as a cult leader that he has all those 30% COMPLETELY convinced that all will be well under his leadership. Don’t you all realize that you WILL STARVE TO DEATH once he has his wishes, those that you readily and suicidally support?? JUST LOOK AT WHAT HE HAS DONE!!! WATCH HIM FROM THIS MOMENT ON!!
      GOD I wonder about the psyche of some people, who can so easily be lead and be driven off a cliff….

      Missed the first hour (watched O’Reilly while yelling at the TV) but really enjoyed the debate in the 2nd hour. Personally they have all been impressive. I bet that the main stream media will have to gargle with Scope after having to ask and hear the Conservatives questions & answers. They were unanimous….. obama stinks.

      The only way a dumb musical will help romney is with the democrats but I think that they would push for him anyways since he is just another RINO and would fit in best with the democrat’s agenda.

      Ron Paul did great. He stood alone around the matter of troops being abroad. Notice he told the truth, the commander in chief tells the generals what to do. Paul said he would bring the troops home while all others said it was up to the Generals to determine as a distraction. Ron Paul was Constitutional on that issue while the others were not. +1 Paul

      Financially Ron Paul talked of the Fed while all others did not and Paul also talked well around governments non role in the economy.  +1 Paul

      Ron Paul spoke constitutionally all night. I would say Ron Paul, Gingrich, Cain, Bachman, Romney, Pawlenty, Santurom for debate order. I ordered these in relation to most Constitutional view in answers since that is what gave us this Nation and since so many want to “restore” the Constitution.

      Just watched the whole debate on you tube in segments. I really like this group! Far better than any GOP panel I’ve seen in years! I wouldn’t have a problem voting for any of them up against BHO.

      I’m starting to like Ron Paul ALOT more. I just don’t know if he could actually win—or get the GOP Nom, I mean. (I think he could beat Obama if he did).

      Actually, CNN did a much better job at hosting a Debate than FOX did (or has done)…I was amazed. They had big screen interaction with other people from other parts of the State; they had Audience participation and JOHN KING who moderated didn’t act like he had a broom up his back side like other debate moderators…in fact, he asked some great questions, moved it along without being a dictator!

      Bachmann was giving her ‘cutsie’ campaign stump speech… she does NOT relate to people. We all Love RON PAUL but he could not get elected as his views are TOO RADICAL but I sure would want him on any CABINET I had!! Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich did a good job of answering. CAIN was honest and no nonsense; Pawlenty scored with me because he praised SARAH PALIN…the elephant in the room. Romney is much better than last time. WE have a great field and will have a great VEEP for SARAH to choose from!!!

      They have no credibility anyway. Who they nominate is MOOT.

      They’re nomination is their vote for who they want to be president.

      michelle can actually answer a question without looking like a total fool, so i would take her in a heartbeat over sarah. sarah is the only candidate thats a guaranteed loser here. sarahs poll numbers are terrible, obama beats her by a solid 15 points. you would need republicans to actually vote for the republican candidate. if we want to beat obama, we probably need a middle of the road conservative. someone who isn’t so hated.
