Barry said 57 states because he was counting all the places that he was supposedly born.
I know..let‘s have SNL do a skit on Schumer’s 3 branches of government or Chrissy Matthews’ knowledge of the 3/5th of a person. There is just so much material that SNL could be using.

That was really pretty funny. I have not laughed so hard since the SOTU this year. I did not hear them make jokes about the money that we have spent. Just trying to disgrace the messenger. The President said that he is worried about our spending and in the next system says we need to “invest in America”. Mister President “Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me”. I do not want any shame on me. “What kind of fool do you take me for? – First Class” (Nick Danger Firesign Theater). The revolution begins is 2012, vote your conscience.

This may be overly critical, but the way I see SNL. The opening Bachmann skit really ruined this show for me. They usually try to expose some element of truth in their political sketches, this did not. I guarantee you they knew the story of why she wasn’t looking into the CNN camera because she was looking into the camera that was directly addressing the Tea Party who asked her to speak in the first place, right? They don’t care to get it right because they are playing their politics. This is the same reason they play Obama straight without much exaggeration…they are afraid to lampoon him because they love him immensely. …And by the way, the opening Bachmann skit got about zero laughs. It was lame.

Hey BELOWAVERAGJOE That’s because they made fun of the messenger, but not the message. You and me, the little people, will be the ones to pay for Obama’s folly (Hey thats got a good ring to it). “The word ‘Establishment’ is a general term for the power elite in international finance, business, the professions and government, largely from the northeast, who wield most of the power regardless of who is in the White House. Most people are unaware of the existence of this ‘legitimate Mafia.’ Yet the power of the Establishment makes itself felt from the professor who seeks a foundation grant, to the candidate for a cabinet post or State Department job. It affects the nation’s policies in almost every area.” (Edith Kermit Roosevelt, Elite Clique Holds Power in U.S., Indianapolis News, p. 6. December 23, 1961.)

I agree with Snow–the problem is, they rarely (if ever) make fun of anyone on the left. If they did it more often, it might be more entertaining. But they seem to be an arm of the administration and NBC news. They haven’t been funny for years!! And the issue with Michelle Bachmann is the left jumped on this to ensure that the average schlub would not listen to the real message. Remember though–those that would ONLY focus on her looking at the other camera either (a) won’t ever hear that message anyway or (b) are convinced that they are so far left that nothing she says matters anyway. So let them dance around in this one! It’s true that it looked odd, and it’s even worthy of poking fun at. But again, remember that those who go this direction (solely) are not convinceable and aren’t worth the time having a reaction to.

Did you notice that all the “content” was TRUE. If you ignore the same “not look at camera, charts not correct joke” which was in typical SNL fashion THE ONLY JOKE in the whole piece that they beat to death…. but ignoring that if you listen to the speech / points NOTHING the actor said was untrue. The funny thing is the progressives at SNL think they are making fun of her yet they don’t see her ideas they are saying are true. The people watching are going “hmmm yes there is high unemployment, oh she is looking the wrong way, yes Obama spent huge amounts of money, oh the chart is wrong direction, wait invest = stimulus = spend = debit = unemployment.
Ha Ha SNL first time you are funny in a long time…. and you made fun of yourself

CNN was responsible for this mishap which reflects their total incompetence or their deliberate cheapshot at trying to deflect the meaning of her message by making her look out of touch with those she was trying to get her message to. I guess when you have ratings lower than Nickelodean, you’ll do anything to embarrass those you disagree with. CNN (Communist News Network) fails again.

But it‘s interesting that you didn’t see many clips of anyone making fun of Obama during the State of the Union speech. I wonder why? The news channels jumped on board to create a stir but had to set up their own camera for a feed just to the right of the Tea Party camera. On the website all the graphics were easily seen and everything looked as it should. SNL being part of the National Barak Channel of course just ran with what they thought was just another stupid politician.

They’re either morons or did this on purpose, because anyone in the tech-end of the biz knows how odd that feed will look. So the real story here is that CNN is incompetent or corrupt, take your pick. Unfortunately FOX also ran CNN’s feed. The reason I didn‘t find it all that funny is that I didn’t think they carried it far enough! The stuff they did with Bush was funny. Most of the ones on Obama have been funny. It really doesn’t have anything to do with whether you are from the right or left.

The intent of satire is to promote constructive criticism by using wit or humor as a tool to accomplish this. Michele Bachmann was not looking directly at the camera in HER address, and SNL simply told her that with the piece. SNL’s message: “Michele, bring your cue cards closer to the camera lens!”

I wish SNL would do a skit on your comments and those by WhiteTeaParty. There’s plenty of room for improvement there!

What’s with all these shallow left wing woman haters. Michele is an intelligent beautiful lady. These people that spew hatred at her are pathetic. There used to be a pool hall in the town where i grew up. It was situated next to a mental institution. Sometimes some of the patients would go over and play pool.
Their favorite expressions when their opponent made a shot against them was “your stupid, your an idiot, your crazy” Whenever I hear left making those kind of comments I think back to that pool hall. Since then I have concluded that only the stupid call others stupid,or an idiot calls another an idiot etc.

      Remember when:
      - MTV played music videos
      - Kids “talked” on the phone
      - SNL was funny

I used to watch SNL when they were rib-splittin’ funny – not for sometime now. Now it’s as if Olberman and Schultz is writing the so-called comedy skits.

@ Showtime: Right about the 57 states. How about the 3 or 4 times he repeated Corpsman within several minutes. The first time I giggled thinking he just misread the prompter. The 2nd & 3rd made me wonder where he went to school. No one give our gals a pass when it’s not even their error. Obama thought they were a bunch of dead men.

Oh I get it. She says she is going to try again just like Obama has said 10-15 times when he calls the American people stupid and says they just are not getting the idea of why health care will work so much better when managed by the god like geniuses that work for the federal government. If he just explains it again maybe the people will get it this time. Of course he needs to be careful not to mention anything that the Fed is currently managing. You know like the post office, amtrak, social security, medicare, medicaid, the deficit, the budget, the borders, nasa, katrina, patents, the fcc, airports, airport security, tsa, the department of education, the energy department, the fda.. well you get the idea.

KILLA FROM WASILLA – Not only is she a joke but the joke is going to be on the TP when she and Sist‘a Sarah split the Repub’s and Obama walks into re-election.
(to most on here, nothing has been funny on TV since HeeHaw left the airwaves)
