Michelle Malkin Details ‘Climate of Hate’ on the Left

“The Tuscon massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand.”

It’s for that admitted reason Michelle Malkin wrote an article this morning detailing what she calls the “climate of hate” on the left. According to her, the lengthy article is a response to the many who are trying to link the recent shootings in Tucson to conservative rhetoric, and who want to paint the right as violent. She rebuffs that with what she calls “a comprehensive illustrated primer in 8 parts”:

I. PALIN HATE
II. BUSH HATE
III. MISC. TEA PARTY/GOP/ANTI-TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE HATE
IV. ANTI-CONSERVATIVE FEMALE HATE
V. LEFT-WING MOB HATE — campus, anti-war radicals, ACORN, eco-extremists, & unions
VI. OPEN-BORDERS HATE
VII. ANTI-MILITARY HATE
VIII. HATE: CRIMES — the ever-growing Unhinged Mugshot Collection

The article highlights numerous examples of people on the left who have preached violence or highlighted it.

It includes pictures:

“They want to play tu quo que in the middle of a national tragedy?” she asks. “They asked for it. They got it.”

When Eugene Probinson, the long time reporter and hayemongering bigot for the Washington Post, stated that violence was exclusively associated with the right, he should reprimanded for stating such an obvious lie. That will never happen as he lies and distorts, as does Steven Cohen, from the bigot pulpit that is the Washington Post. When journalists lie in such an open manner with absolutrely no regards for the truth, why would anyone ever consider their existence to ever be relevant again. Paul Krugman of the New York Times another long time known hatemongering bigot, was one of the first to present this type of lie to the public as trying to get a concerted effort to admonish the Tea Party which evidence with prove without a doubt could never be apart of their makeup. The shooter’s entire history reinforces that liberalism is a mental disorder that he shared with the journalists presenting their lies and that he was in the latter stages of the disease.

Hold on Americans! Of course the commie progressive crowd is jumping on this murder like a duck on a bug! They see it as a better than average opportunity to disarm the American people. And also an opportunity to poison the arena of public policy by dumping on a new load of hate and mendacity.

Don’t be surprised. They are again showing the world what they are all about. Don’t be dismayed. We must redouble our determination to defend our Republic!

unable to stand on there own 2 feet.
The country has lost it’s way. Since Obama has taken office I have not seen this much racism and hate in this country since the 60′s.

You are wrong because as you see today a generation that needs the goverment to give them everything and they have no work ethic. As the young lady said after Obama was elected he will give us free stuff from his stash. My family has given me nothing my wife and I, and have worked very hard for what we have and we have asked for nothing from anybody. We are not rich and we are not poor but we put in the hard that was necessary. Now I here that the goverment whats to take people’s money and give it to those that are unwilling to stand up and do what is necessary. I don’t think so!

How about Rockefeller, or the Kennedys, or Kerry? Where did their money come from? Another very pathetic attempt.

How am I wrong about what I have seen. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous for you people to characterize liberals as lazy and conservatives as amazing hard workers. I see a pretty equal amount of laziness, however I do see a lot more effort from liberals. I don‘t really know what the point of your reply was but as I stated and I’m 26 and relatively fresh out of college (3 years out) most of my friends that are liberal didn’t have mommy and daddy pay for college and got jobs on their own through hard work, a lot of my conservative friends had everything paid for and mommy and daddy got them a job after graduating. Of course this isn’t 100% for all people of either side, but I do see more babying from Conservative friends that are from outside big cities.

Sorry but no, this was a good attempt, rather desperate if I may say, but very misleading. Guarantee 99.9% of liberals haven’t ever seen any of this stuff. Some of the items on here like including anarchists would be no different than me going and looking up videos of the kkk rallies or other nonsense that takes place in the south. When you show me videos and quotes from people with actual listeners such as Glenn Beck and Limbaugh (remember, they tout how they have the most ratings all the time) then you will have a point. But comparing the speech from people like Beck and Limbaugh who reach millions of people a day to some stupid videos of anarchists that noone ever heard of, you are just digging to cause a problem and it looks quite pathetic.

Why the dig at the South? Have you any proof that the KKK is active today? If not today, at anytime since the 70s? And why the South? Don’t you know that the KKK, when they were active, operated mostly in the mid west? Please think a little before promoting sectionalism in America. We worked hard to eliminate the KKK, and we deserve some credit for doing a good job of it…

Can’t believe I am doing this, but I am angry and sick of this finger pointing. So I must ask this question. Sarah Palin is catching all kind of grief over the targeting district comments because it is gun related and incite violence or images of violence. Your retort is that the left does the same but not on a large scale or to a large audience. Does anyone in this country have a larger audience than the President? I believe he has been quoted as using gun imagery in a speech in Philadelphia. The infamous bring a gun to a knife fight. You know and so do I both of these are harmless. Both sides “target” districts and Obama was just paraphrasing the famous line in the Untouchables rallying the troops for a fight. My point is, is this necessary? Has an election ever been won by demonizing the other party to the point of inciting some of the most vile rhetoric ever spewed. The HuffPo is a good example. Also, why hasn’t the President put a stop to this nonsense. This whole debacle is truly pathetic. If this country spent 1/10th energy on finding solutions as it does on pointing fingers imagine what could be accomplished. I am a conservative and I don’t like the characterizations, but if I were advising and candidate or media outlet my people would be shaming anyone that brought politics into this discussion.

Let me see…..basically you are saying that it doesn‘t count when it’s from the left because no one listens to them. Even the most “popular” Left wing radio/TV hosts have small audiences when compared to those on the Right. Because of that, the Right has to be held to a different standard, a standard that the Left approves of, then those on the Left. Sounds a little unfair doesn’t it. Is that what the Liberals call a “compromise”?
By the way, is it possible that some of the Left are being driven because of jealousy and because they are not only being beaten in the ratings but got their butts kicked in the last election? Your “argument” is warped, distorted, one sided, and typical from the left.

I agree with you, I have been saying on this website for days now that people saying this person is left or right is absolutely absurd, but that conservatives are overreacting to the talk in the media and it makes you look guilty because you are all getting so defensive. Fox news was getting defensive as soon as it happened trying to turn the representative into a republican. People on the right are mentioning the fact that he liked a book, smoked weed, and didn’t like jesus as reasoning for him liberal on this site. I’m saying I can also point out that he supports gold and silver and thinks the government is being unconstitutional as proof he is conservative. He’s not though, he’s just anarchist/libertarian who hated the government and a psycho. It’s not that big of a deal for the media to just tell people to chill the hell out.

What is pathetic is your lack of evidence. Yes, Rush and Beck have huge ratings. Can you tell us when they ever advocated violence? Glenn wants us to pray, not shoot. Rush is a news analyst, He is not an anarchist. They both are conservativcve. I guess that equals “hate” in the mind of a hater. These guys do not agree with your politics, make you look stupid and uninformed, therefore, they must be hate mongers.

This whole conversation is stupid…no one on either side is anything but horrified at this tragedy. Remember, this is a tragedy that injured a wonderful congresswoman, and killed 6, including a 9 year old girl. To use this event to promote your hate against the right is sick and disgraceful.

Seems you have your partisan binders on. The response from the right is driven by the accusations from the left. The accusations from the left are not spawned out of grief or anger, but political expediency and trying to gain political capitol. If the congress person were a republican the roles would be reversed. It is intellectually dishonest for you not to recognize that from the beginning the left wanted this guy to be a right wing nut so much so that they painted him as such with absolutely no evidence. My point is that it is pathetic that our best excuse for acting like a pack of starving wolves with a kill is that they do it too. We would be much better served if the left would own up to it’s actions in this matter and the right do the same. Obama should be policing his house because that is what leaders do and Palin or Boehner should be doing the same. This is what makes me fear for our country. The absolute lust for power and the willingness to do anything to get it.

How shameless that the left USES the tragic murders of 6 people by a lunatic to further their unrelenting efforts to silence free speech. When Major Hassan slaughtered all of those unarmed soldiers at Fort Hood (while screaming “Allahu Akbar!”), we were all told not to jump to conclusions. Yet, the second that this happened, it was automatically and summarily blamed to the TEA parties and Sarah Palin. What a load of crap!

And the video above is a fine testament to the breathtaking double-standard that now exists in our formerly free country. By the way, the sheriff of Pima County, AZ is a disgrace and should be ridden out of town on a rail! His comments were way out of line and extremely inappropriate, The people of that county should be working to have him removed from office immediately!

These cynical tactics are so obvious, yet somehow they are very successful. The left, worldwide, is jumping all over this incident in Tucson as a means by which to attack conservatives, freedom of speech and gun ownership. We need to fight this in the media and fight it tooth and nail. Before they succeed.

This young man had problems way before Palin hit the scene ! look at the weather underground, and this guy is now involved in our education system.

i am on the ground and see the destruction of drugs and alcohol in our youth, as adults and as country we are advocating violence in this country by the destruction our education system, the legalizing of drugs that alter the minds of our youth are playing a big part in what is going on in society today.

We need to all stop diverting the attention and take a look at ourselves, principals morals and integrity are being destroyed in this country.

I got in a discussion with several lefties on a liberal blog (one in particular) with the word “DEMOCRAT” in its title:

I pointed out that the shooter appears to have been a consumer of marijuana and questioned whether he was on any kind of drugs at the time of the shooting.

The lefty said: “Reefer madness! Now why didn’t I think of that.”

I replied: Don’t underestimate its powers (directly or indirectly). There were 12,456 dead in Mexico in 2010 as a result of the drug cartels – 30,000 over four years.

I heard one newscaster (can’t remember which one) say the other day that Mexico is now the most violent country on earth.

“…there has been an escalating cycle of violence both between gangs fighting each other — largely for drug trafficking routes into the United States”

      http://tinyurl.com/23fksz5

“Phoenix and Tucson police report over 400 kidnappings of Americans by Mexicans.”

      http://tinyurl.com/29pmp48

I find it ludicrous that Democrats are trying to blame conservative media for provoking an unstable kid to violence, whilst Democrats have done so little to abate the massive violence that’s rampant in the very city where these people were gunned down.

The lefty said: “How many of those dead were killed by illegal American weapons sold to the Mexican banditos by Americans in violation of our laws and their laws?”

I replied: Lets put and end to illegal immigration – problem solved. We all know how rampant illegal documents are that are being manufactured by the illegal immigration industry. Of course, if a legitimate American citizen tries to question those legal looking, illegal alien documents, he has the leftist, civil liberties legal organizations on his back, and we all know how unmotivated the feds are to do anything about the illegal immigration problems. Anyway you slice it, Democrat policies are at the heart of the corruption.

The left is using this incident as yet another excuse to demonize and further take away the rights of freedom loving American citizens. This is ironic, considering that all the reliable indications are that this person while mostly just a disturbed soul, he was also highly left-wing. With all the talk of criminalizing free speech and aything that can be considered threatening language or actions, my thoughts turn to the fact that people like Piven and Van Jones are constantly throwing around violent rhetoric that is designed to cause exactly what happened in Arizona. Why are these people not being spoken about? Simple…..they are doing exactly what our masters in Washington want, which is to bring about the violent revolution that will sweep away the last vestiges of the Republic.

Prepare America, the final chapters of the long running plot against this country are about to be realized and your liberty is going to be taken away unless you stand up and deny it to them.

I reject the stated premise of Malkin’s piece, that the left is trying to outlaw conservativism or silence “peaceful” speech of the right. In the aftermath of this event, people on both the left and the right, who still are able to think outside of their partisan box, are arguing that everyone, on the left and on the right, need to take the violent political speech and toxic rhetoric down several notches. Of course, Malkin, who apparently cannot see past the left-right divide wants to deflect any blame that the right bears by showing how bad the left as been. And the left has been bad. But two wrongs have not made a right, even when a fiery right-wing pundit has made the case. A more compelling response would have been a calmly worded commitment to do her part to combat hate speech and violent political speech wherever it occurs and regardless of whether it is on the left or right. Olbermann made such a pledge on this first show after the incident. Boehner did the same thing. It would be nice to see Malkin drop the hysteria for once and follow suit.

Damn close to zero, 99% of the guns in Mexico come from china or south America, the few that they ask America about are the ones they find with serial numbers on them, it is a very, very small % of the total guns they confiscate in Mexico. The liberals as usually try to twist the facts by saying some crap like 75% of the guns they ask us about turn out to be made in America, when in truth, they only ask us about guns they are 95% sure came from America, so a logical person would expect the number to be around 100% not 75%.

Thank you liberals, MSNBC as THESE are the people that you are pandering to for votes. Let’s just say that liberals are exploiting the ignorant and tell all that white conservatives are collectively racist. That video clearly demonstrates the exact method of behavior that all liberals aspire to when in any act of opposition. Thank you Barack Obama for what you have created and what you fail to realize as it doesn’t suit your agenda. I don’t hate liberals at all and wish them the best, but when you see this type of behavior collectively across the globe it makes you wonder.

Peaceable protests, open dialogue, accountability and common sense are not actions taken by the left. We don’t how the majority of irrational liberals out there get their news about lies and spin on the truth since no one watches MSNBC anyway, so where do they get it?

So go ask a liberal if their lives are better now with all this HOPE AND CHANGE since we are more divisive now then ever. If liberals say yes to improvements in our country, show them this video of all the “improvements” that we are making.

….but for how long can our voices be heard. The internet itself is now in the control of Google and Yahoo. These are the two most used search engines used. Both are controlled by liberals. What happens when they decide to “not find” pertinent information pro-conservative and anti-liberal? As you know, the liberal controlled networks already practice slanting every bit of news in their favor. Have you tried Googleing non-flattering information on Obama as recently as pre-election? It is getting harder to find. The “Demoncrats” are already talking very seriously about controlling what we say on the internet. The fact is, they are but a few clicks away from that already. Sure, we can turn to the radio…but they are also on the cusp of controlling what is said on the radio as well. When you make an intelligent argument on one of these online news sites from main stream media, you will find your comments removed very quickly…..if they ever get posted to begin with. Our children are being fed liberalism by the bucket full in public schools and college and it is re-enforced by the television and movies they watch. Every form of communications can be shut down with a few clicks of a mouse and only those who speak the words they desire would be heard on any large scale.

“Newsflash…..Radical Conservative Terrorists have disable communications all over the united states, but fortunately we were able to salvage this (liberal) station and will broadcast news you need to know about the massive attacks going on in such-n-such city/state. If you have any information on any known Conservative or gun owner please contact this number 800-liberal and help us stop them now before they too attack.” Blah…blah…blah…yadda…yadda…doo…doo!

Now, but off from all communications with each other they could actually remove entire populations of major cities before the sun sets and by the time word gets out…….. CB radio….blocked. Ham Radio…..blocked. Cell phones….shut down. Land lines….same. Obamanation already has the ability to form his own army. Our troops are mostly over-seas. Most of the rest of the military will follow just about any order given. Any outside communications would be severed so they only got news from their “superiors” in DC. One military base could easily be ordered to attack another. You follow orders in the military without question. That is what they are trained for and took an oath to protection us against all enemies….foreign and domestic. Will some disobey? Sure…but the majority won’t. What media gets though to them confirms what their Generals tell them. Extreme? Sure…..well…..maybe. Quite possible though.

Why don’t they do this? Well, one reason might be because they know there will be resistance. No matter what they do, there will be enough to occupy their loyal forces to the extent that Americas defenses will be down long enough for just about any foreign forces to get a foothold on our own soil. However, they won’t need to do this, because like I said, they are pretty much in control of the majority of all media, so, as long as they keep doing exactly what they are doing now without any changes, our numbers will dwindle until they become what they have been trying to convince themselves and us of all along….the majority. Then we are totally screwed! BUT….if it makes you feel any better…by that time the Muslims who are on a major breeding campaign and are about to totally take over Europe and since their numbers are also increasing dramatically here in the USofA, they will find themselves and us being hunted down and throats slit before they themselves can make themselves our Lords and Masters……that is if China doesn’t beat them all to the punch. Don’t I have just the most lovely of thoughts or what?

Regardless of the motive, Leftist ideologies such as restriction of gun rights, and silencing certain kinds of speech, has the effect of granting government the power to more easily stifle free speech when it is in our interest.

“In the aftermath of this event, people on both the left and the right, who still are able to think outside of their partisan box, are arguing that everyone, on the left and on the right, need to take the violent political speech and toxic rhetoric down several notches.”

The reason there are partisan boxes, is because they encapsulate sets of conflicting ideologies. The disagreements aren’t because of a label, but because of the beliefs we hold. And while not everyone fits perfectly into one of the two boxes, the boxes are nevertheless useful points of reference: The more a person’s beliefs fit into one of the two boxes, the more that person is a cause for concern for those of the other box.

There’s nothing wrong with partisanship, if one’s party is more than a mere label.

“Of course, Malkin, who apparently cannot see past the left-right divide wants to deflect any blame that the right bears by showing how bad the left as been.”

I think she was saying that since the Left struck first, it was necessary to defend her position, or else the Progressives will be successful in deceiving another generation.

“And the left has been bad. But two wrongs have not made a right, even when a fiery right-wing pundit has made the case.”

It’s “fiery” to defend one’s self?

“A more compelling response would have been a calmly worded commitment to do her part to combat hate speech and violent political speech wherever it occurs and regardless of whether it is on the left or right.”

Malkin didn’t incite anyone to violence. She pointed out the fact that the Left has a history of violence, and she did so in the context of the Left’s claim that the Right likes to incite violence. Now, that makes me mad – not because of Malkin, but because the past Leftist violence seems to be irrelevant to the Left’s claims about the Right.

“Olbermann made such a pledge on this first show after the incident. Boehner did the same thing. It would be nice to see Malkin drop the hysteria for once and follow suit.”

I didn‘t see Olbermann’s pledge, but I saw Boehner’s, and it looks to me like Boehner is ignoring the fact that he’s “coming together” with those who want to destroy the American economy. I think we’ve lost the Republic, and it scares the crap out of me.

glad? Look at how vitriolic filled this is…Everybody already knows about how the left operates. We don’t need to be filled with vitriol for everything these nutjobs have done against us, to be reminded of how angry we are or need to be. We need to know what we stand for and focus on healing our country, especially at a moment like this, not trying to raise the rhetoric. I dunno, I never cared for Malkin. She just slings insults for half an hour and acts like she’s saying something meaningful. Replace her with another Glenn any day. How about a Glenn Galkin?

You really have to admire the total hypocracy, of the left. Calling for violence against someone, while making a false accusation of what they said. That takes real talent, I suppose- or complete ignorance. I don’t know- MY mind works.
