Michelle Obama: I Try to Sneak Out ‘as Much as Possible’ With Trips to Starbucks, Baskin-Robbins

First lady Michelle Obama talked more about her recent shopping excursion to a D.C.-area Target, revealing on the “Today Show” that she tries to sneak out of the White House “as much as possible” with trips to Starbucks, Chipotle and even Baskin-Robbins.
Obama told NBC‘s Al Roker that she once took the family’s dog Bo to pet care superstore Petco without being recognized by a single person.
“The cashier asked me, ‘Oh, what kind of dog is that?’ I said, ‘A Portuguese water dog.‘ He didn’t recognize us because he didn’t expect that we would be in Petco,” Obama said in an interview that aired Wednesday.
Though she said the cashier eventually realized his famous customer, such hasn‘t been the case when she’s gone out for coffee or a burrito — or ice cream.
“I do that more frequently than people realize and it‘s amazing how people don’t recognize you. They don’t expect to see me at Starbucks or Chipotle,” Obama said. “Plenty of people have been in Baskin-Robbins a number of times, you know how the kids aren’t really paying attention, they’re looking right through you, they don‘t know it’s me,” Obama said.
Obama, who has made tackling childhood obesity her signature issue, has been mocked for some of her own high-calorie snacking while encouraging restaurants to cut fat from their food.
Obama told Roker the trips “help keep our kids’ lives normal.”

I LOVE it! She blends in so well when she sneaks out (yearning for the common life– and junk food)– that nobody even sees her… NOBODY.
A textbook example of “exponential damage control,” that is, damage control of damage control. It goes like this: the spontaneous diamond bracelets (tens of thousands of dollars worth, given to Moochelle by Barry –because they went so well with the black evening gown she had chosen for that night’s “soiree” –evoked a damaging “King and Queen of America” image. Damage Control I was the fake trip to Target– to try to fade the image of designer clothes and diamond bracelets. Surprised at how many of us laughed at the obvious fakiness of it all, they have put their clever heads together and come up with Damage Control 2. This is where Moochy claims to sneak out all the time, but she’s so very much “just one of us” that NOBODY ever sees her. Nobody.

Definitly. Is that the case? I’m not so sure. I would not blame her for wanting to go to the store, and not be recognized. I like my privacy. Of course, the Secret Service knows that she is safe because it isn’t the conservative party person that would try to kill someone like that. And I remember VIVIDLY the day when two of our Missionaries were shot in the head at point blank range by a SHOTGUN while proselyting in a predominantly minority neighborhood in Washington DC. And I sat in front of the TV during the breaking story that day, and I was absolutely FLOORED when in less than 3 hours after the shooting (which means that those young men‘s bodies weren’t even COLD yet) a well-dressed, attractive, white spokeswoman for the FBI came on TV and said, I will never forget it, she actually had the “chutzpah” to SAY: “We don’t have any witnesses, we don’t have any suspects, but we do KNOW one thing, THIS WASN’T a HATE CRIME?”

That is a seminal moment in what David Duke refers to as “My Awakening”. If you lefties are concerned about racism in this country, maybe you should RETHINK your official policy that “Whitey is always wrong”!!!

I certainly don‘t support her or her husband’s ideology but nevertheless they are still people. I don’t understand the constant negative rhetoric aimed at public figures, poke at their political stances but tearing them down for their looks, or where they shop, or what they eat is disappointing to say the least. I know many of us on the Blaze have a deep faith in Jesus and many of us on here would call ourselves Christians. #3) Who sneaks out of the White house to go shopping then pays with the Presidential credit card.
#4) Do you have any idea how much of our money this woman spends even without these “sneak trips” And how much does it cost us for her to “sneak out” for the sole propose of another photo op?
#5) When will the Obamas stop campaigning and go to work? Not that I want them to work its better if they do nothing, but I do object to the way they spend our money on bull crap.
Finally, I’m very lucky to have the most beautiful woman on earth at my side every day and just because I call Miss Obama fat isn’t an indictment its the truth.
