Michelle Obama vs. Oprah? New Book Claims Jealousy (and Fatness) Made Them Grow to ‘Despise’ Each Other

New York Times bestselling author Edward Klein’s controversial new book “The Amateur” is already making major headlines, even before its official release.
From the allegation that Bill Clinton called Obama an “amateur” to the possibility that Jeremiah Wright was offered $150,000 to keep quiet until after the 2008 election, the book is almost impossible to ignore.

But perhaps most amusing, of all the reports, is that Michelle Obama and Oprah have been engaged in a subtle “Mean Girls” style battle of wills, with Michelle Obama even criticizing Oprah’s “girth.”
The New York Post, which pre-released excerpts of the book, explained: “When [Oprah] phoned, [Obama] dropped everything and took her call. They huddled over strategy. Of all of Obama’s unofficial White House advisers, Oprah had unparalleled access, input, influence, and power.”
This prestige was short-lived, however. Soon after Obama won the election, according to Klein, “It soon became apparent that something had gone wrong between Oprah and the new administration — or, more precisely, between Oprah and Michelle Obama.”

It didn‘t help that Valerie Jarrett saw Oprah’s connection to the first family as a direct threat, so, according to Klein, Jarrett specifically set about turning Michelle against Oprah [All subsequent emphasis added]:
IT didn’t take much to convince Michelle…As far as Michelle was concerned, Oprah’s billions and her elite lifestyle disqualified her as an adviser to Barack, who had no truck with wealthy people, except as a source of campaign contributions, and was a redistributionist at heart.
…“Michelle is very jealous, I would say unusually so,” said someone who was very close to Oprah. “Most people after years of marriage have trust and don’t follow their husbands around and check on them. Michelle doesn’t seem to trust Barack at all. She insists on knowing his every movement and drops in on him at all kinds of odd times. It’s been the buzz of the White House…
“Michelle makes it clear to her inner circle, and this certainly includes Valerie, that she wants women around Barack watched and wants info about who he has an eye for and gets touchy with,” this person continued…

And for the dénouement, Klein writes that, upon hearing the news that Michelle was going to devote herself to the issue of childhood obesity, Oprah offered to pitch in.
She received a response “curt to the point of rudeness,” to which she supposedly responded: “Michelle hates fat people and doesn’t want me waddling around the White House!”
Oprah was eventually convinced to respond in a “diplomatic note,” which the first lady allegedly treated with scorn, telling her staff: “Oprah, with her yo-yo dieting and huge girth, is a terrible role model. Kids will look at Oprah, who’s rich and famous and huge, and figure it’s OK to be fat.”
Klein concludes:
Nonetheless, the president pushed Michelle, against her will, to make a sort of peace with Oprah in order to get Oprah’s endorsement in 2012. Left with little choice, Michelle reluctantly agreed to tape an interview for one of the last Oprah TV shows, in May 2011. She sat there through much of the show with her arms folded in a defensive posture across her chest.
Though White House officials have not confirmed the rumors, the stories are certainly providing amusement on the right throughout Twitter and other social media networks– though Oprah is unlikely to be equally amused.

You’ll believe, in fact, anything negative you read about President Obama and we all know why.
In any case, if you knew how to use the Google, you’d realize this guy. Edward Klein, has written other unsubstantiated hatchet job books before that even conservatives have recoiled from. His last book was about Hilary Clinton, and claiming among other things that Bill Clinton raped Hillary Clinton, that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian and sordid, invented details.
Peggy Noonan, President Reagan’s speech writer and frequent FOX commentator wrote a review of the book at the time. She says comparing his book to other yellow journalism, “That George W. Bush was a coke-sniffing, girl-chasing lush?… Run for office and we‘ll throw everything we can that will stick and things that won’t stick too. Mr. Klein’s book is in this tradition.”
She also said, “Mr. Klein’s problem is that he assumes the market is conservative and conservatives are stupid. They’re not, actually. They want solid sourcing and new information that is true.”
Of course she’s right with smart conservatives. But you won’t find those at this website, nor many other places.

She begins, “I have read the Hillary book by Ed Klein, which has been heavily dumped on by conservatives, and understandably… The book is poorly written, poorly thought, poorly sourced and full of the kind of loaded language that is appropriate to a polemic but not an investigative work.”

But would you cast your eyes upward to the topic of this thread and my response? You‘ll see that you haven’t been able to maintain a focus on the topic and my response, which is on an another topic, one you already conceded on, in writing, on this website. Yet you bring it up again.
Which reminds me of another acronym, OCD. That stands for obsessive compulisve disorder. People with OCD have thoughts that return again and again to a subject be it a person, topic, fear and so on. They resort to repetitive behavior to address their anxiety.
AVENPERP, there are treatments available for the condition. I encourage you to seek help. Even if you’re not insured, there may be low cost health care for people with your condition in your neighborhood.

I actually suspected back then something seripticiously underhanded would happen to clear the way for Hillary 2012 around late 2010 or early 2011.

Though they deny it. Goerge Clooney’s movie sales took a nose dive, as did Tom Hank’s and many others, since they came out with their political and anti-religion views. They choose to blame the movie goers as well as illegal downloads rather than shine the spot light on themselves. Remember when all actors were cool, and all movies were okay to watch? Those days are long gone. It just sickens me to learn that actor Robert Downey, Jr. has contributed to Obama’s campaign at that lavish fundraiser he last had. I had high hopes for him after he went public with his feelings against Socialism. I guess they got him in the end anyway…with their pro gay and clean energy promotions. Seems to be written into the script of the “Avengers” movie. So sad… :-(

It’s because gas is important to the average bloke and he/she’ll go to the pump–whatever the price, in order to buy the juice that gets him/her to work, so they can make money to buy the stuff! Of course, the significant devaluation of the US$ is why oil is so expensive anyway, as demonstrated by rising prices in the face of declining consumption!

Think about that. Anyway when her “BOY- the GOLDEN MAN OF HER DREAMS” failed to bring home the bacon..she finds herself stuck with street upon street of Chicago slum area…and since she’s like Michelle and Axelrod…dumping old folks out on the streets from hospitals because they can’t get paid any more…you can bet there is -0- being done in her INVESTMENT AREA. One day, when they do a movie about these EVIL BASTARDS, people will see the big picture and they will go down in history as the worst thing to have happened to America.

Opera thought she was the Queen of Sheba and would waltz in and just get Obama to take right to her. Well, from the looks of it, Georg Clooney has a better chance, and Michelle is there doing her part in what appears to be the hatched “destroy America plan” I doubt they cannot get too far off course doing this Hollywood azz kissing.
