Middle School Yearbook List Compares Hitler and Bin Laden to...George W. BushWho says young people aren’t political?

A quasi-scandal has broken out at Arkansas’ Russellville Middle School. The school’s yearbook featured a list of the “Top 5 Worst People of All Time.” Some of the world’s most horrific murderers and maniacs were included: Adolph Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Charles Manson…

Few people would argue that these individuals don’t deserve a spot on that roster. Each went on murderous rampages and were, arguably, mentally-imbalanced. However, it‘s the list’s last two names that are causing a stir: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The former president and vice-president don’t seem to share many characteristics with the other men they were clumped with.

Once the yearbooks were printed, the district attempted to remedy the alleged oversight. KLRT-TVhas more:

Superintendent Randall Williams calls the list “an oversight.” Parents caught it after the yearbooks were printed. The district’s solution was to cover the list with tape. It didn’t work.

“Really?” said Williams when told the tape could be pulled off. “Well that’s disappointing because the yearbook supplier told us this was a definite fix.”

There’s no word yet on potential disciplinary measures for the teacher responsible for managing the yearbook’s production process, though the principal maintains that it was an accident. Mediaite asks another important question: Where did the list come from?

Williams explains that the teacher in charge of the yearbook didn’t put it in and is “very, very, very upset” about missing it before printing. Apparently some of the students pulled the thing off of the website Ranker.com, a site where people just make lists of stuff. A cursory search didn’t find the exact list in question although there are a ton of “worst people” rankings that do feature members of the Bush administration like this one, this one, and this one.

      Where’s Stalin? Mao? Pol Pot? I have a sickening feeling that the hundreds of millions these Marxists killed in the names of Marx, Engels, and Lenin during the last century weren’t on this “list” was because the students who thought including President Bush as a“joke” as part of their yearbook “prank” have no idea about mass murders of the last century such as the forced Ukrainian Famine of the early 1930‘s when at least 7 million were starved to death by Stalin because they refused to join Soviet collective farms ot about the tens of millions who died in Stalin’s labor camps. Are the tens of millions killed during Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” and his other mass killings after the Communists took over China in 1949 mentioned in high school history books today?. Do kids today even know that less than 40 years ago Pol Pot (another Communist) had over 3 million of his own people killed in Cambodia in the late 1970′s? To compare President Bush in any way to the people on this year book list is a blasphemy to the victims of the killers I just mentioned and the others on their list. In a few months when some of them iare in college you can bet they will be wearing T shirts with Che’s picture on them. Of course they will have no ide Che personally shot at least 2,500 people after the Cuban revolution of 1959 not to mention the labor camaps Che set up in Cuba in the early 1960′s that were specifically created to work gay Cubans to death.

    i dont want it removed. I want thoes responsible to explain why they think that. Thats the problem. too much of “i dont like what you said,.,.,.SHUT UP!” going around. these kids are being brainwashed daily by marxists and leftists. this is a perfect opportunity to not only present conservative view point. but to pit it against what they are being taught and show and prove WHY it is not correct. why do you think so many marxists are kids? its because like children marxists want to show how right they are and how they know more than everyone else, even when they know what they are doing is wrong …and ESPECIALLY if they know its wrong. to them it makes them cooler and martyrs or opressed, or rebel fighters. but when we continiually show them and proove they are wrong it only makes the leaders look like ignorant and selfish fools, and takes awa the ‘cool’ facade of a “rebel with a cause fighting the man’

      I would like for people to know the reasons why they believe the things they do, you are right.
      I don’t find this incident outrageous, though. I think it’s more along the lines of kids saying “Jane, you ignorant slut.” all the time when I was in school, even though there were no girls named Jane, and have of them couldn‘t define the word ’slut’. It’s just a SNL catchphrase. No one believes Gerald Ford is clumsy anymore, and look at Chevy Chase today.

I know that I felt safer then than I do now.. I love how obama takes all the credit for killing UBL. Surprise…………….obama is still using many of the Bush administrations policies. He has added a few of his own personal touches that are to his advantage. and agenda. I would like to get some info from our troops who know first hand. . The ones that I know believe in their mission, and talk about the the advances that have been made for the people of Iraq and Afganistan. “War is Hell”, and our troops give the ultimate sacrifice by enlisting to protect our freedom. At least Bush hasn’t put our country in jeopardy like obama has. I don’t think that he was perfect nor did I agree with everything that he did while in office but when you compare Bush and obama, Bush wins hands down.

      I agree, the faculty advisor is ultimately responsible for what appeared in the printed book.

      But if the list was not inserted, who are the students who inserted it? If one of them was my child, he or she would receive a stern lecture about the difference between lunatic mass murderers and progressive propaganda. And perhaps a good spanking, depending on the response.

      I only subbed one 6 weeks’ period or so for a journalism/year book teacher in high school. And, while I LOVED the kids and the experience (because the kids AND the regular teacher were exemplary in a public school), I wouldn‘t want to do that in today’s world.

      Teacher receives finalized copy, Goes through it with a fine tooth comb, (every page mind you ) and removes everything that shouldn’t be in that damn year book…
      Problem never happens.. I find it hard to believe that the teacher in charge didn’t know this was in the year book… I just don’t believe it.

I was in newspaper back in high school and we constantly slipped in things that weren‘t noticed until it was printed and in students’ hands, usually far worse than this. The difference is that the Blaze decided to take umbrage to this one silly example of teenagers pulling a prank/being lazy.

      It is getting to the point where we (whoever “we” happens to be at the time) hate every person in charge of anything…turning us in and on ourselves. It will just make the takeover that much easier when “they” attack us.

      We need to (as conservative republicans) tell individuals who CAn rally this country together to either put up or shut up…and by “shut up” I mean telling the Christie’s to run or plan on being voted out of office next election, the Glenn Beck’s to run or get off the air…and those teasing us along for their decision…speak up or shut the hell up.

      We no longer care about your personal reasons for not running, we don’t care about the toll it will take on your personal life or personal finances…our founding fathers did not have such luxury’s as these to take into account. They simply knew their country needed them and that was all that mattered.

      One thing is for certain by any definition of it and that is GWB and his administration are War Criminals guilty of mass civilian murder but I wouldn’t support turning them over to the Hague.. I’d prefer to see them tried and executed right here in the USA…

      Another fine example of what our liberal indoctrination center are teaching the children and these kids are 11 and 12 year olds just imagine what high schooler and college students are being taught. After this see it been going on for years first you instill these beliefs at an early age and then you unquestionably foster them through-out their higher education. This is why home schooling should be the goal of every conservative,moderate or christian parent in the country.
      Any parent who wants to raise Americans should be looking into any altenatives to our L.I.C. public schools.

      what do you think would happen if Pres Obama had been on that list? Do you think folks would tell you to put a piece of tap on it? Better yet, what if Michelle Obama got smeared in a middle school year book? Always a seperate of standards when you compare conservatives to liberlas.
