Mika Laugh Mayhem: MSNBC Host LOVES Letterman Clip Mocking Cheney’s Health

Are you old enough to remember the polio-era line: “funny as an iron lung”? After all, what kind of person would find funny the notion of someone fighting to breathe?
Answer: Mika Brzezinski.
Today’s Morning Joe played a Letterman clip of a faux-promo for an imaginary TV show called “The Dick Cheney Story.” As the title song from the Mary Tyler Moore Show plays merrily in the background, we’re treated to images of Cheney wielding a gun, in a wheelchair and undergoing open-heart surgery. The clip closes with video of Cheney fighting to get a breath of air.
Cut to Mika, doubled-over, laughing hysterically, literally to the point of tears.

I seem to remember the reason that we went into Iraq was because almost daily they were firing missiles at our planes that were in the no fly zone. In addition, they refused to allow U.N. inspectors in to view their facilities as they agreed to do when they signed the cease fire agreement to end the Gulf War. The WMDs were almost an after thought. As to whether Cheney “lied” about it, as in purposely telling a falsehood, please tell me what country‘s intelligence agency said that they DIDN’T have WMD’s? It wasn’t the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Israel, Russia, or China. So which one was it. EVERYBODY thought they had WMD’s because they used them not only in their war with Iran, but in their own country on the Kurds. In other words, YOU are the liar. YOU are the one who is purposely telling falsehoods. Either that are you don’t know what you are talking about. So what is it? Liar or ignoramus blow hard who talks about things that he knows nothing about?

Actually, she was not comparing his actions to the comments being made about health care. She was comparing the tone of the rhetoric about health care and the tone of the debate back then, which she said can lead to things like the assassination of politicians. If you disagree with the comparison she made, that is fine, but don’t distort what she said just because it serves your point of view. And yes, there were other people killed that day, which make her tears more sincere, considering she is from the Bay Area. This gets back to my previous point, if Glenn disagreed with her analogy he should have stuck with that. Instead, the guy who cries about everything, decided to take it a step further and mock her for getting emotional over an emotional day. The point being that he mocks people on sensitive issues every day and then gets riled up about someone laughing at a skit from Letterman. Give me a break.
