15 Egyptian Border Agents Killed as Militant Islamists Reportedly Try to Enter Israel

Militant Islamists, Possibly Global Jihad, Attack Egypt Israel Border Crossing, Killing at Least 15 Guards Before Attempting to Enter Israel

Militant Islamists killed at least 15 Egyptian guards at the Karm Abu Salem/Kerem Shalom border crossing in the Sinai Peninsula Sunday, in what appeared to be a coordinated effort to enter Israel.

The attack took place around sunset, when the troops were having the traditional meal at the end of the Ramadan fast, Egyptian authorities said.

IDF Command Maj. Gen. Tal Russo confirmed the report, and gave more information:

“After the fact, we learned that a group from the Sinai took control of an Egyptian military post, killed between 10 and 15 Egyptians, and stole two armored vehicles called Fahds.

At 8:05 P.M., one of the vehicles exploded at the Kerem Shalom crossing, and another breached the border fence and entered Israeli territory. A few moments later, we hit the vehicle from the air.”

Egyptian state TV said the Sunday attack was carried out by Islamist militants, and Israeli media suggests that Global Jihad, specifically, is responsible.

“It seems the attack was sudden and well-coordinated, using heavy arms,” Al Arabiya’s correspondent Ahmad Bagato said.

Israeli army spokesman Afihai Adra’ei told Al Arbiya that attack was likely part of a larger plot.

The Jerusalem Post explains:

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Yoav Mordechai told reporters that the IDF was still searching the area to rule out the possibility that additional terrorists remained in Israel. Mordechai said that the IDF has ruled out the possibility that a soldier was kidnapped although it was possible that the attack was aimed at abducting a soldier. The IDF spokesman later said in an interview with Army Radio that at least three terrorists were killed during the infiltration attempt.

Israel is increasingly concerned with the presence of [Global Jihad] operatives in the Sinai Peninsula and their ties with Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi called an urgent meeting with his country’s military council, saying the attackers “will pay dearly.”

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak commented:

“IDF forces … with the help of the Shin Bet, showed alertness, sharpness and versatility, and thwarted an attack may could have caused many casualties.

The operations of the assailants raise again the need for resolute Egyptian action to impose security and prevent terrorism in the Sinai.” 

It was one of the bloodiest attacks in Sinai in years, underlining the growing lawlessness of the Egyptian territory previously best-known for its Red Sea resorts and biblical history.

According to the Associated Press, security forces have become targets of militants, some linked with al-Qaida.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said Sunday: “All those who intend to harm us should know our long arm will reach them.”

    Many will disagree, however, I would ask you to sit back and look at the facts, as we know them today. The book of Psalms chapter 83 lays out a latter day CONFEDERACY (group) which comes together against Israel. The book of Ezekiel chapters 38 / 39 lays out a latter day COALITION (group) which comes together against Israel. I do not think Biblical scholars argue about these two prophecies, one by King David, one by Ezekiel. The debate is which one occurs first, and or do they actually become the one single invasion. The interesting point is Ezekiel 38/39 is clearly government controlled military, while the Psalm 83 prophecy alludes to a non-governmental military, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Quada, the Taliban etc. The reality is clear: The middle east will move against Israel in the latter end days, governments and terrorist organizations, either independantly or dependantly an invasion will move against Israel. The trigger to this invasion is unclear, the scripture does not give a precise reason why the coalition forms and invades, obviously hatred is the reason, but what is the trigger, oil, food, borders, no one knows for sure.     Does he mean that the terrorist attackers will pay dearly? Or is he calling Israel “attackers” for defending Israel and he means that they will pay dearly? With these islamic terrorists, anything and any meaning could be possible.

      well If Israel drags USA into more wars than anti israel population will grow and would be the number one cause for it to grow in the US, if they don’t than it will stay same or go down. the biggest cause for anti israelism is their influence over our foreign policy and that there using and sucking the US dry to pursue their interests and if they can wipe away that image, than people will have no problem with them. in bad economic times people become more nationalistic and self caring which can result in hate towards another country influencing ours.

      Marybethelizabeth; Egypt is being run by the Muslim Brotherhood. So is Libya. Somalia, and they are trying to take over Syria currently. The Muslim Brotherhood declared war on the United States in 1995, technically it is a Jihad, which is war by another name.
      Dear Leader closest advisor, Valerie Jarret was born in Iran and raised a Muslim. Her father was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
      This stuff is very easy to find out so why haven’t you bothered? Or do you have “Beck Phobia” a rare disease that allows the truth to not stay in the brain while allowing lies to remain forever.
      With just a little research (yes, research, you know, where you look for the answers yourself instead of relying on Democrat talking points) you will find that Mr. Beck is right on target over 90% of the time.
      The only thing that he is probably very wrong about is that we can fix what has been done to us. Not to sound negative but it isn’t going to happen.
      They are going to throw a “party” for us, and each and every one of us will be forced to attend. You really won’t like their party especially since it is unstoppable.

      By their own admission those running Egypt are radical extremists. The only thing separating them from those who performed this attack is that the MB, as a political power, has to worry about maintaining control as much if not more so than attacking their perceived enemies. These terrorists may have targeted Israel but in doing so they showed the MB that they aren’t the ones calling the shots. The MB isn’t particularly fond of that.

      Watash. I’ve studied a lot of information on this, and have been bolding telling people I believe 2018 is significant in end times. My quest began with Psalm 118:8 which is the middle scripture of the Bible, quite the statement for these times. It has been believed by some that Psalms chapters could be tied to years, i.e., year 2018, and verse 8 = day 8…Rosh Hashana begins at sundown 9/8/18. Furthermore, add 70 years (70 means “punishment and restoration of Israel, Universality) to 1948, year Israel established. Not saying there is anything to this, but there are too many coincidences to ignore. And, we are only doing what the Lord told us to do…watch, and watch for the signs.

I specifically said there may be something significant about the dates in the end times. Nothing dangerous about that. The signs of the end times noted in the Bible are coming at a faster and more frequent rate just as Jesus compared these signs to a woman in labor.

      But if you read on in the Bible – God said that ‘When the Dust Settles, Jerusalem will still be standing.” Then the fun begins. Jesus is going to return and grab every person that was against Israel by the scruff of the neck and toss them into the lake of fire.

      God did not say he would put them in the lake of fire – he said Toss – my translation is Drop Kick – Obama might want to be waring his asbestos suit that day!

      We have 2 choices as the World comes against Israel – 1. Pray for the Peace of Israel or 2. learn to swim in fire.

    Okay, now when its distilled down to its bare essence:

    1. Provocation attack to ratchet up pressure on Israeli govt and IDF to strike back into Egypt territory
    2. Possible kidnap solider(s) for political and press gains.
    3. Create a new group of martyrs for the extremist terror bands.
    4. Discredit the Egyptian Army (favors the Muslim Brotherhood in internal pressure/politics)
    5. Focus world attention on the matter; keep the “Palestinians are Occupied and Oppressed” before the world media, especially here in the United States.
    6. Test response times and reactions of the IDF.
    7. Cause fear among the Israeli border settlements for the sake of political pressure.

    Mr Obama will love to hear about this; as his allies among the Muslim Brotherhood grow in power and position; and when war comes, he will throw everything in against Israel.
