Muslim Brotherhood Claims Victory in Egyptian Presidential Election

Egyptian Military Asserts Power as Preliminary Election Results Arrive Between Muslim Brotherhood Mohammed Morsi and Ahmad Shafiq

(The Blaze/AP) –The Muslim Brotherhood has declared that its candidate, Mohammed Morsi, won Egypt’s presidential election.

Morsi “is the first civilian, popularly elected Egyptian president,” the group says on its website.

The declaration was based on returns the Brotherhood reported from 95 percent of the more than 13,000 polling stations nationwide. The returns showed Morsi with 52 percent of the vote, his opponent former prime minister Ahmed Shafiq with 48 percent. A million votes separated the two, which a Brotherhood spokesman said the remaining votes could not overcome the difference for Shafiq.

The figures were from results announced by election officials at individual counting centers, where each campaign has representatives who compile the numbers and make them public before the formal announcement. The Brotherhood’s early, partial counts proved generally accurate in last month’s first round vote.

The final official result is to be announced by Thursday.

As vote counting began in Egypt’s election for the successor to Hosni Mubarak, the ruling military issued an interim constitution Sunday that handed themselves the lion’s share of power over the new president, enshrining their hold on the state and sharpening the possibility of confrontation with the Muslim Brotherhood.

With parliament dissolved and martial law effectively in force, the generals made themselves the country’s lawmakers, gave themselves control over the budget and will determine who writes the permanent constitution that will define the country’s future.

“If it happens that they announce he (Shafiq) is the winner, then there is forgery,” said Brotherhood spokesman Murad Mohammed Ali. “We will return to the streets” – though he added, “we don’t believe in violence.”

Shafiq, a former air force commander, is seen as the generals’ favorite in the contest and would likely work closely with them – so closely that his opponents fear the result will be a continuation of the military-backed, authoritarian police state that Mubarak ran for nearly 29 years.

A victory by Morsi could translate into a rockier tussle over spheres of power between the Muslim Brotherhood and the military.

Sunday night, the Brotherhood seemed to lay the groundwork for a confrontation with the military over its power grab. It rejected last week’s order by the Supreme Constitutional Court dissolving parliament, where they were the largest party, as a “coup against the entire democratic process.” It also rejected the military’s right to declare an interim constitution and vowed that an assembly created by parliament last week before its dissolution will write the new charter, not one picked by the generals.

However, the Brotherhood has reached accommodations with the generals at times over the past 16 months since Mubarak’s fall, as it struck deals with Mubarak’s regime itself.

It also has no power to force recognition of the parliament-created constituent assembly, which already seems discounted after parliament’s dissolution and is likely to be formally disbanded by a pending court ruling. Lawmakers are literally locked out of parliament, which is ringed by troops.

The race has been deeply polarizing. Critics of Shafiq, an admirer and longtime friend of Mubarak, see him as an extension of the old regime that millions sought to uproot when they staged a stunning uprising that toppled the man who ruled Egypt for three decades.

Morsi’s opponents, in turn, fear that if he wins, the Brotherhood will take over the nation and turn it into an Islamic state, curbing freedoms and consigning minority Christians and women to second-class citizens.

In February of 2011, right after the revolution, the Muslim Brotherhood announced that it would not field a candidate for the Egyptian presidential race

This is a breaking news story.  Updates will be added.

How long until our “brothers” in Iraq or Afghanastan have a change in regimes?

We had “friendly” dictators toward the U.S. that we paid millions/billions in foreign aid and military hardware; now look whats happening.

      When is enough; ENOUGH?

We are still trying to nation build and bomb but look where it is heading.
We now even have true allies who are getting tired of our presence.

Billions of dollars go into Pakistan every year and where did we find Osama?
The doctor who helped us out is even now in a Pakistani prison.

      Who are their real friends?
Who in that area could truely be our friends while we have bombed them and bombed them and found no WMD’s?
Who in Iraq could ever really be our friends? We have killed thousands of innocents and found no WMD’s. The longer we are there and the more aid we give them (by them I mean the middle east); THE STRONGER THEY WILL BE.

We are now being prepared for WW3 (attacking Iran) instead of trying to calm the cituation.
The middle east has been gone since the Turks. We have strengthened them in the years since and given them a common enemy.

When will we try to stop the aggression? We can either stop it through trade and removing our presence or we can VOTE on a WAR. If trade works than us as a nation will be better for it and If it comes to WAR than we will fight it like a WAR and be done. This is our Republic and we are losing it while we are so worried about the ME.

Example(please note the “example” part)…..Romney/Rand with Demint as majority leader and Ron Paul as speaker(controlling declarations of war and purse strings)…….makes Romney’s liberal tendacies obsolete. We have options, do NOT despair.

Why would he specifically want them there if he was not tied to them somehow? Thats right why didn’t he want to do the same thing to Iran and Syria? Its because they have the same Ideology as obama does! Watch and learn, he’s doing this to pull the muslim world together for the defeat of the West! Why does he want us to have less nuclear weapons? Do you think Russia is getting rid of theirs? No, he’s down sizing our military in order to conquer us! Between our military and money issues and our infighting he has implemented a trojan horse! And at the same time bring in terrorists and radical muslims “muslim brotherhood” to infilltrate our govt! So, Holder was sending guns across the border, was it to crackdown on drug traffickers, or was it to hand guns to a militia? I believe it was for a militia and at the same time to crack down on our rights with tighter gun controls! People this has been planned for a long time and its not something that people just threw together at the last minute. Obama’s a micromanager and people like that have years planned out ahead of whats happening today! All I can say is stock up and be ready for anything and everything! He’s Evil, you see what he‘s like when things don’t go his way! He’s going to be worse than hitler. He’s Evil and he lies like his father! Satan!…..

We aren’t the first to be the victims of muslims engaged in Jihad. They infiltrated our political, social, and spiritual institutions in the same manner they have done it to countless other cultures and civilizations; DECEPTION.

Prime among these is the deception that God and Allah are the same. Much evil has spawned from this prime deception. Muslims, through their false linking of the allah deity to God, have been able to commit much evil which is blamed, not on the allah deity, but on God.

      Allah is not God.

Muslims DO NOT believe on God. Muslims worship the Allah, which is enshrined now in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

“…Americans are more interested in reality TV than to be interested in politics….”

If the Jihad attacks of 9/11 was rightly identified, and if then-president Bush had the courage to tell the Saudis to Eff off, the armies of the West may have been marching upon Mecca right now. And most, if not all, muslims encamped on American soil would have been deported.

Our weakness and our willingness to swallow the lies of muslims engaged in Jihad, has lead us to the seemingly un-winnable position in which we find ourselves.

History has the answers; outlaw Islam, close the mosques (garrisons), deport the muslims. Then declare War of Islam and work diligently to reduce Islamic influence wherever it is found…by force of arms.

The Muslim Brotherhood wants to destroy the Giza Plateau and erase any vestige of Pharaonic Egypt as well any remnants of the Hellenistic past, and whatever is currently left of the Coptic Christians.

In 1193 AD Sultan El Aziz attempted to destroy them (http://www.historyofjihad.org/egypt.html).

I am sure the muslims of today will seek their erasure. Once Islamic power is secure and Sharia and Jihad have driven away what is left of the tourist industry, the muslims will move to have the Giza Plateau opened to looting, then wanton desecration, then open destruction, followed by the building of mosques.

Don’t forget that muslims in Afghanistan destroyed the massive Reclining Buddha in 2001 which had been carved in the 6th Century AD. Muslims do this all the time. Erase and Replace. Much of the West has been erased and replaced…and now they are in America with the exact same goal.

The worse part about this, Obama will get the muslim brotherhood to power! Sharia Power!…. Some say less than one percent is Radical. I would bet that 60 to 70% is. So when all these terrorists start doing what their trained to do. Were going to be in trouble! Look at what the Palestinians teach their kids. Or look at what the Madrassas teach their’s. Its all about hate for the Jews and Christians and were not going to be able to stop something thats been in the works for 1400 hundred years! Its Evil, just look at what’s happening in Nigeria and Sudan. If you give them an inch, they’ll take ten miles. You cant apease them. Why is it the same thing is happening in Israel. Everytime Israel gives them land, they then want more land for peace. Its a ploy to take more and more. Sudan is experiencing the same. Both agreed to have a Northern muslim Sudan and a Christian South Sudan and yet the Muslims are raping, blowing themselves up, burning down villages, using enslaved kids as rape toys and then demanding they convert to islam! How much of this with the Brotherhood is Obama’s doing and backing to ensure they come fully into power? How much more blood will America be forced to shed for radicals under Obama? And how much more blood is on Obama’s hands?

There was only one Republican I know of that outright protested our presence in Libya.

      The rest were silent.

They likely cheated the election. They need a few of our angry black women over there to show those people who is boss in the black men’s family. Many of these women have to do everything that is done here to keep their families alive. The men who go over there would be dead in a month if the women were not there to make sure they eat and have what is needed to survive. They are playing with guns while the women try to keep a family surviving.
We will keep the True black Christians here because they have the right idea. Take the militants and play Egyptian cowboy over in the dunes where there is nothing but sand to destroy, besides the human lives who God gave breath to. There will be an accounting of the way those who have destroyed human life and played political games with the lives of people including little children. These people are too sorry to build cities and promote the health of their own communities and have tribes who war continually. Yes, maybe we should just stay here in our country and fortify the borders and keep all of them out who should not be here and build upon our Constitution. Those over there have proven over time they have rejected the One True God and their children suffer as result of this. Those who believe as one another should be with one another.

Is … um… our self glorified presidente’ going to … dunno… give a speech on this… it kinda was Obama‘s and Hillary’s acclaimed democratic accomplishment in Egypt.

Not to mention the unnervingly close ties this administration has with this group.

What is it with Democracy crap in Arab countries? Aren’t we supposed conquer them and install leaders we like? That‘s what we’ve always done before. That’s the Bush Doctrine. We only have a couple of trillion dollar wars going on now, another won’t make any difference. Let’s go kick their butts! And in Syria too!

JZS, you are so f—in stupid, you act like your dear leader and his political minions had nothing to do with this outcome. Then with your limited understanding of the ME you assume the goals of the brotherhood won’t cost us trillions even though history would prove otherwise.

JZS is a troll. Your insults sustain JZS.

If we stop feeding JZS, it will go find another bridge under which to hide.

      “…Obama lost Egypt….”

Egypt is falling into muslim hands in the exact manner Obama desires. He has won a massive victory for the House of Islam in the land formerly known as Egypt.

Obama’s Saudi Masters will reward him with money from America.

Still nothing really changed other than the puppet has fell off the hand. The military had control even under Mubarak and it really did not matter who became the new puppet. It was a military coup from day one. They gave the MB a chance to be that puppet but they did not run a clean election so they lost the chance and now the puppeteer is out from behind the curtain.
