Minutes Into Debate, Perry and Romney Go for the Jugular on Job Creation

Perry and Romney Go for the Jugular on Job Creation

Within the first few minutes of the GOP presidential debate, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry were at each other’s throats over the issue of job creation.

NBC moderator Brian Williams opened the debate by questioning the two on their respective records of job creation.

Soon after, the sparks started to fly.

Romney kicked off the festivities by stating that he wouldn’t be running for president “if I had spent my whole life in government,” insinuating Perry was a career politician.

Perry praised Romney for doing “a great job of creating jobs in the private sector,” before turning the tables, stating, “when he [Romney] moved that experience to government, he had one of the lowest job creation rates.”

He added that “we created more jobs in the last three months in Texas,” than Romney did during his entire term as governor.

Romney didn’t concede, however, stating that Perry benefited from his home-state’s lack of income tax and its all-Republican legislature.  To take credit for that, Romney said, would be “like Al Gore saying he invited the Internet.”

Perry gave his own zinger when he retorted, “Michael Dukakis created three times faster than you did.”

“George Bush and his predecessor created jobs at a faster rate than you did,” Romney blasted back.

Watch the two trade blows:

Bachmann’s out. $arah’s not getting in. Social Security is NOT a “Ponzi Scheme.” (Google it :) For those who were around, remember Al Gore wanted to put it in a “locked box” but in any case it’s solvent, warrants tweaking.

This was a farce it was another NBC and Obama lets get the Republican candidates show!
Newt was 100% correct another kabuki show!
I love what Newt Gingrich had to say to say to the moderators… he doesn’t let them get away with it enough of the garbage!
The bottom line is no matter who gets the nod… we will be behind them…

Ole’ Chris Matthews who I cant believe they would even let IN the Reagan Library
(who had spittle running out of the left side of his mouth) and the only thing he took away from the debate was and the first words out of his mouth after the debate were,
” Mitt Romney said he wasn’t The Tea Party“ which ”of course” wasn’t what he said at all!
But Matthews started salivating and that will be the “headlines” on all the main stream media this morning and on the Sunday Round Tables along with Perry said, “Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme”.

The debate was a farce a pathetical attempt to prop up Obama.

      @CCR

It’s called “predictive programming” and is part and parcel to human history for the past 150 years or so and is under the deceptive direction of some very powerful, evil elitists. Think me a kook?

Every significant event that occurs happens for a reason. There are no accidents in this world-wide political theater/arena. From the fear/panic inducing false flag ops ( Pearl, 9/11, Oklahoma City, etc.) to the very clever “manufactured consent” methodolgy (Helgelican Dialecti) (sic) approved and employed by the “think” tanks (Rand Corp., Ford Foundation, Cato, Heritiage etc.) , these “talking MSM heads” then limit your options by defining the parameters as they see them.

The left/right paradigm as it is currently being promoted by sites like the blaze, huffopost etc. are purveyers of the politboro party line.

And what is it they want you thinking about now and has but a limited run at the theater of the absurd? Of course, it’s the Perry vs Romney battle royale “OUR TOP CONTENDERS ARE PERRY AND ROMNEY”!! WTF?

Ever wonder why you won‘t see an informal poll oasking you who won last night’s debate? Hmmm?

Paul also has made some dangerous bedfellows. If you are unwilling to dismiss the premise that Perry would want to check out Bilderbergers first hand to assess the threat he has heard so much about, and then got away AFAHC, that Bachman was just a woman trying to make a living like most of the rest of us, that Cain served in the Fed because he saw it as an honor that was the apex of a life of very hard work, but are willing to dismiss Paul’s association, accepting money and support from these NWO groups and Soros, you are a hypocrite and as supposedly “naïve” as those you are slamming for considering Perry, Romney, Bachman or Cain. Go ahead, read, your eyes won’t melt in their sockets.

Even if I accept your premise, which I do not, what the hell is the point of electing another RINO?? It‘s the 2008 campaign all over again and we’ve learned nothing. Big government vs ENORMOUS government.

Say Perry, Romney, or another empty suit win. They will NOT make any meaningful changes b/c they are in truth establishment tools. They will only discredit the tea party and forever doom the republican party to irrelevance and fracture. They will fail this country and do nothing to roll back the expansion of the police state. Wake up man.

How can we accomplish anything of value by building our hopes and administration on a flawed and fake base of RINOs? @ CRAZYTEXAN: After reading the articles, I guess I am gathering that you are condemning Ron Paul because some of your “enemies” support him?
      1) Ron Paul has an eclectic range of supporters because he doesn’t support an ideology. He supports freedom and constitutional government. The fact that some leftists are gravitating towards him shows that his electibility is far beyond what the pundits claim.
      2) Never, EVER has Ron Paul EVER advocated for globalism
      3) Has it occurred to you that the radical leftists at these rallies may be there to discredit Ron Paul’s campaign in the first place?
      4) If you are going to attack Ron Paul, address his policies and principles. I will not waste any more of my time reading BS articles that are purely speculative based on radical leftists holding signs that say Ron Paul.

Would it be so terrible if a campaign for liberty over party actually did unite the country? Would you rather continue this partisan BS and in turn empower the two-party vitriol that has kept Americans fighting each other instead of holding politicians accountable? What happens when the structure that has been built around us is actually activated, and an establishment politician is in office?

What other candidate has the record to prove they have the intestinal fortitude, principles, and courage to defend liberty and return our freedom and the power to the people?

@LinkedIn G: So you’re operating under the premise that the Congress is still relevant?

      1) Even before the Super Congress/committee, President Obama began using and creating executive branch bureaucracies and departments to completely bypass Congress. Most of the country is ruled by executive fiat at this point. We need a President who will act to dismantle this power structure. I know of no man or woman with the courage and principles to do this but Ron Paul.
      2) The formation of the Super Congress and its unlimited power essentially end self governance. It is a body composed of 6 D‘s and 6 R’s, chosen by the establishment of each party. It has powers beyond either body of Congress. No vote by the people can EVER change its composition, as the establishment will have a pliable tool waiting in the wings should one of the 12 be voted out of office. The Super Congress must be abolished. What president but Ron Paul would make this a priority?
      3) How does Ron Paul being elected somehow negate any further gains in the Congress for republicans?

Bottom Line: The Super Congress has taken lobbying targets from just over 500 down to roughly 13. The super committee has powers that outstrip any other body of Congress, and as such, will be the sole origin of all major legislation so long as it exists.

Ron Paul is the only man who believes strongly enough in the Constitution and Freedom to resolve these issues and counteract the encroachment of the statists.

@ LinkedIn G: I understand where you’re coming from bro. I understand the desire to do anything along the lines of selecting a MSM and centrist approved candidate. I understand your desire to do anything to stop Pres. Obama’s agenda.

The issue is that if we select another establishment candidate, nothing will change. The right vs left dynamic in this country is a farce. Romney and Perry are not libertarians, conservatives, or constitutionalists. They are opportunists, adept at dawning the faux garb of the Tea Party and surging freedom movement.

If we elect them, and they are put into a position where they must end the wars, reign in the Federal Reserve, reform the tax code (to flat or consumption), expand American energy production, buck the UN, end the violation of 4th amendment rights at the hands of the TSA and burgeoning police state, reduce the executive branch bureaucracies and power, unite the country rather than divide it along ideological lines….which one of these tasks do you honestly trust them to do?

You’re clearly a smart guy my friend, but you really need to take a long hard look at the questions above and ask yourself if you believe Romney or Perry have the principles or political autonomy to break away from Washington establishment policy to do what is right. Only ruin will be brought if we yet again sacrifice our principles and the truth for the sake of “blocking” Obama by installing another establishment tool.

Hey, Duck & Cover! Is Ron Paul your congressman? Cuz he IS mine. And, he’s fine…really. But, presidential…NOT! We need a winner…sorry, but Ron Paul isn’t it. I‘m sorry he’s giving up his congressional seat…he’s been a “voice in the wilderness” on many occasions. But, for a presidential candidate, we need electibility. This current mess has to be stopped.

This entire notion of electibility is BS. What we NEED is to vote principle over polish. What we NEED is to select the truth and principle over the aesthetic BS drummed up by the media establishment.

Say we elect one of these empty suit RINOs. What happens when they change nothing, fail the people and the country, and discredit forever the Tea Party movement and the Republican party?

Have the courage to vote for principle and the truth. Voting for anything else is only building a foundation on a flawed character and premise, doomed to fail.

Good then you get what you deserve!!!!

Ron Paul is ELECTABLE!! and he will be the next president of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA or we will no longer be the nation we once were. There will be no going back to the principals that made us great in the first place. We will be subjugated to the NWO and the UN!!! No one else will restore our CONSTITUTION!! NO ONE ELSE will END BIG GOV’T. and NO ONE ELSE will care about you or any other american. Think about that. The rest of the candidates are FRAUDS and POSERS. Ron is the ONLY real AMERICAN PATRIOT talking about CONSTITUTIONALL RESTRICTED GOV’T.

You really are a progressive troll aren’t you. Yea, thought so. Your mind has been melted from your media gazing. DONT BE SUCH a USEFUL IDIOT!!! Your EPIDERMIS is showing!! Go back into your HOLE under the rock!!

      I agree with CorinAR1.
A person’s age or appearance or personality DO NOT affect your lives. Their POLICIES do. But, with the me, me, me crowd out there today that put more value on physical attractiveness over everything else, it is no wonder that clowns like Obama and Perry get the attention.

I hate to say it but Gingrich was the best followed by Cain… I have not picked anyone yet. Six of the eight are in play for me even though I am not so jazzed about Gingrich(great debate for him though). But I won’t vote for Romney or Huntsman. The six are in play. Oh, and the ones(Christy, Palin) who are not in it yet…. I won’t vote for them either.

How many of you are sticking around to hear Maddow, Matthews, Schultz, and Sharpton evaluate the debate? The thought of it makes me want to vomit. I might be good for a laugh or two. Did you see the look on Williams‘ face when Perry said that executions don’t keep him up at night and his incredulity that the audience applauded his answer? It did my heart good.

      Cain
      Gingrich
      Romney / Perry
      Paul

      Bachmann
      Huntsman
