Miraculous Tale of Survival: Woman Lives After Car Falls Five Stories Plummeting Into Ground

Was it the seatbelt? The airbag? The angle of collision? Or just plain old luck?

Perhaps all of the above contributed to the miraculous survival of an Australian woman, 41, whose car fell five stories from a multi-storey car park and crashed into the ground, leaving the car devastated–but leaving the woman with little more than a scratch on the head.

The car fell an astonishing 50 feet, striking  ”the roof of an adjoining house.“ It then ”ricocheted round, finally coming to rest on its side in an alley,” the Daily Mail reports. The impact was so severe that the roof of the car caved in and the woman had to be cut out of the vehicle. Though she was initially hospitalized, she only suffered a cut to the head, according to a hospital spokesperson.

She has since been released from the hospital–and is hopefully on her way to a remedial parking course.

I am a firm believer in God. But it burns me up to hear people say things like; Oh his guardian angel must have save him when he slammed into that tree at hundred miles an hour. Well, if a gaurdian angel has the power to save someone from dying in a horrific car crash, why don’t the angel just stop the accident in the first place? Geeez!

To me this looks like an Audi sedan, they are well made, not plastic, reinforced, and exceptional safety.
Although I don’t recommend this move for everyday drivers.

Yes, it is interesting to know how she managed to go over the side. Perhaps there isn’t a high retaining wall to stop vehicles but a wires between poles and she hit the gas going forward and breaking the wires. I know the parking garage where I use to park had a 4 ft concrete wall about 12 inches thick, which would be hard to go over even if you rammed the wall, but I suppose it could happen.

    Thankfully, she wasn’t badly hurt.

The building roof must have cushioned her landing. Good thing she didn’t land a liberal, it would have been Bush’s fault.

Miracles happen. I’ve been blessed with many. This one reminds me of one where my husband and I were on our way to church and the bridges were icy but couldn’t see it. No one else on the road since we live out in the country. Going about 55mph, we hit a patch of ice on a bridge on a hill….lost control of the car and while my husband was franticly trying to get control, I knew we were headed to go over and I started praying, not knowing if I would live or die. Horrible. We rolled over a couple of times & crash landed. The car was totaled, all windows/windshield shattered. But strangely, we were totally unhurt, just sitting there in our seats.
I wondered how we were going to get out. So I got my cell phone & just as I was about to put my finger on the number to call 911, this “man” appeared out of nowhere at our rear window. He just looked a VERY “ordinary”, medium height, guy. He was very calm and just asked if we needed help getting out? (Timing of that???!!!!) I had this weird feeling he was an angel, so I just smiled and asked while he reached out for my hand “Where did YOU come from?!” He paused, smiled like he knew what I was thinking and said casually that he had been behind us watching and saw it happen. That’s all. But I don’t remember seeing any cars behind us & even if there were, it would’ve taken him longer to get there because of where the exits were. So then somehow he helped us out via the back door, but I don’t know how that happened b/c everything was smashed. Then all of a sudden the EMS, police were there…don’t know who called them. Then he left. The EMS people said they were totally amazed we weren’t hurt – they see these kind of crashes all the time and usually the people are hurt or killed. We had nothing. After thinking about it afterwards, I’m fairly certain he was an angel – the Bible says they can appear like regular people & sometimes you might be with them and not know it. I also remembered that he didn’t ask the obvious question that anyone would ask after coming to the rescue of accident victims – like “are you ok?” Right? He didn’t – b/c he already knew? I also believe in Guardian angels. I’ve had many experiences. I’ve also had a broken foot that was instantly healed after I and some ladies at church at a Bible class prayed over it. I didn’t feel anything at the time, but when I took off the bandages, etc., I got up and walked on it with no pain & was fine since. I had been using crutches but no more! My kids are witnesses! I have other stories re my family and one of the reasons I picked my “name” for these blogs. I’ve seen the answers/power of prayer many times. So let this all be encouragement to everyone, even though He may not do it all the time. I have other ailments He hasn’t healed…..yet. Go figure. So you never know. No, no one knows the “why’s”. Waste of time to try to figure God out. Keep the faith, and please……keep praying.

      salvawhoray,

No one cares what you think! You might as well try telling us our spouse or children are not real, it is your blindness you are trying to assert on those who see. I hope someday you will find Him, but until you do you cannot know what we do.

The article states that “she drove off the side ofide of a multi-storey car park” – How? It is pretty difficult to drive throw concrete and steel when one is going the posted speed limit in a car park – did she have a medical issue, did someone run into her, was she speeding? It would be interesting to know – I am glad she survived – she is very lucky.
