After her pet boa “Penelope” went missing in January, Melissa Moorhouse worried she might never see her beloved pet again. The three-foot snake had slithered her way out of Melissa’s coat during a ride on a Boston red-line train.
But weeks later, the snake surfaced once again, stunning one train conductor who discovered her in the train attendant cabin.
It turns out the train conductor is a snake-over herself and managed to scoop up the reptile for transit authorities to return to its owners:

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 8:01amHa! Ha! Yes, this seems pretty funny unless I would have been the one to “spot” the snake! Then, it would be to call 911 or make an on-air announcement for clean-up in aisle 10!! Go figure…damn bunch of weirdos!

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 5:23amIn the original report she had the snake wrapped around her neck in her scarf but it could slither down and crawl in her purse. So she had no idea where they parted ways. Is it then legal to walk around with a snake on your neck and to have pets that are not assisting in subways? I a not being funny here but I am betting cats and dogs have to be on a leash. I am not a snake fan and this entire story just freaks me out.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 8:11pmIt was assisting in keeping the rat population down. It was probably the blue hair that caused the snake to run,(slither) away from home.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 3:37amWeirdo snake-owning couple. Blue bangs and a gap in the woman’s teeth, and by the way, who goes around carrying a snake on a subway train? This couple are NOT anyone that I would associate with.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 3:51amNot being a snake lover- I am clueless of what a snake-over is. Considering what little creatures are found scurrying around trains- that snake hopefully earned its fare.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 4:42amCan anyone at the Blaze put together complete thoughts and actually type the out ? “the train conductor is a snake-over herself”… I’ve owned 3 snakes myself so, what the heck is a snake-over ? Did you mean Snake Lover -or- Snake Owner ?
I love you Blaze, but lets get and editor in there to proof read these articles. Keep up the great work Glenn.
