Mitt Romney Now Official Republican Nominee for 2012

Just minutes ago, the New Jersey delegation cast all 50 of its votes for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, putting Romney at 1150 votes, over the number needed to attain a majority of delegates at the Republican National Convention. Mitt Romney is now officially the Republican Party’s 2012 nominee for the Presidency of the United States.

This is a breaking news story.

He cheated to win – which is sad because he obviously would have won anyway. The change in rules will matter in future elections, not this one. There are no more free elections – the candidates will be chosen by the “Party” and the people will have no voice. What is there to celebrate?

Let’s see how this went down. First, Ron Paul encouraged his sheep to game the system and cheat the delegate process, which they obediently did. Then, the RNC had to fix what was broken by the Paulbot fraud. Now, the Ron Paul faction are feigning righteous indignation at what the RNC did and claiming all hope is lost for the election.

This whole thing stinks. I don’t like it one bit. BUT, driving this wedge into the party NOW, with only 70 days to go until the election, when someone (Romney/Ryan) is ACTUALLY beating Obama in the polls IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO THE CAUSE OF SAVING OUR REPUBLIC.

Whatever issues Ron Paul and his zealots have with the RNC can SURELY wait until after the election. Splitting the vote at this point is pure folly. The Primaries were done MONTHS AGO, why wait till now to make a big stink?

I will tell you why: PROGRESSIVES ARE MANIPULATING YOU PAULBOTS. How does it feel to be useful idiots for the Marxists? They know the only way Obama can win, other than outright FRAUD, is by splitting the Republican vote, AND I WILL NOT SIT BY AND LET RON PAUL GET AWAY WITH PLAYING ROSS PEROT 2012.

Ron Paul, you are letting your foolish pride guide you into being a pawn for Marxists. Your willingness to subvert the will of the people by trying to cheat the delegate process makes you as bad as those you claim to want to save us from! Look at what your wickedness has wrought! SHAME ON YOU!

I agree. RINOmney is a disgrace, a cheater, a liar and a dictator. The entire GOP needs to be disbanded after this. I don‘t particularly care for Ron Paul but I do care about the people’s right to choose their leaders – today the voice of freedom has been silenced and a candidate forced upon the people. This is a sad, sad day for America.

What happened today is the demise of Mitt Romney. They blatantly changed the rules, and they have made it impossible for a grassroots candidate to ever have a chance in the future, the opposite of what our founders wanted. A heavy price is going to be paid. It is not only Paul supporters that are not going to vote for Romney, but also other Tea Party voters across this country.

Washington, DC- FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe issued the following statement today in response to changes to Rules 12 and 15 by the RNC.

FreedomWorks Statement on Changes to Rules 12 and 15 at the Republican National Convention:

“I believe that the Republican party has made a huge mistake by effectively disenfranchising grassroots activists who want to be a part of the party process. If the party sincerely wants the support of citizens, shutting them out of the process is not the way to do it. Sooner rather than later the Republican establishment needs to come to terms with the decentralized nature of grassroots organization circa 2012. The terms of engagement can no longer be dictated from the top-down.”
This is an organization that was rooting for Romney. So sad that Sheeple Republicans allowed this to happen, getting behind the Republican Obama candidate that tells you what you want to hear to get your vote, then does the biggest power grab in the history of the GOP. Another dictator wannabe.

Hello again everybody, I am a member of Freedom Works, the largest Tea Party in America and endorsed by Glenn Beck. I signed up to the blaze in order to warn Republicans of the dire consequences of the RNC’s move to disenfranchise all the Tea Party grassroots in the country, but not enough responded soon enough, maybe it was too late. Now I believe his campaign may have killed his chances for the election. If you are not aware yet, go to Freedom Works and read the statement from Matt Kibbe here: http://www.freedomworks.org/press-releases/freedomworks-statement-on-changes-to-rules-12-and
If you consider yourself a Tea Party activist, a blow has been dealt to your freedoms today by the RNC and Romney campaign. I will no longer support Mitt Romney and many in the Tea Party movement are considering the same thing. Join us at Freedom Works and let us discuss our options. It seems that we have had the wool pulled over our eyes from Mitt Romney and he may lose the election.

@TIME You must be one of those “let’s turn them into a glass parking lot” idiots. The Romney campaign with the help of the RNC gamed the system the entire process. And you cheered it on the entire time. And I would imagine that if you were in TAMPA today you would have been one of the useful idiots chanting “USA, I’m A SLAVE” fools. As these bluehairs were yucking it up, unbeknownst to them the RNC was putting in place rules that will decide all primaries here after. They are essentially disabling ANY and ALL grass root support of any other candidates that the establishment elite simply don’t want. These rules will be firmly in place in all upcoming elections so why even have primaries anymore? All we are going to get are Karl Rove appointed RINO’s from here on out. You must be very proud of your ignorance. No I’m not an Obama supporter or OWS, I work and pay taxes, I have voted Republican ticket since 92′. Use to listen to Milquetoast Limbaugh for decades, supported every war endeavor with my unquestioned flag waving then I WOKE THE HELL UP and realized what a scam it all is. Especially after the last election. I realize now more then ever that we will never get a conservative candidate and the looting and incompetence in DC will continue with your support and not mine. What are you talking about? The FNC coverage where they only tallied Romney‘s delegates as opposed to Ron Paul’s and the few Rick Santorum? I am sure all votes were tallied somewhere but Paul’s votes are irrelevant as Romney easily surpassed the 1,144. I am curious how many Paul got though, it is impressive that he did get, probably, over 100. Nevada was almost unanimous for Paul.

It was a good try, I will give the paulbots props for that. They are vocal and organized…Unfortunately they are also insignificant in the big scheme of things.

You guys just lick your wounds then try and follow the lead of your god and master Ron Paul. I guarantee he will vote for Romney.

I wrote down all of the delegate-votes (for each state). MN had 40 votes to allocate. They gave 33 to Ron Paul and 6 to Romney-Ryan. Hence, there was one abstaining. What is the question? The total was 2,061 for Romney; 202 for Bachmann, Santorum, and mainly Ron Paul. That’s a ten to one ratio.

There was a problem in many states where Ron Paul supporters brilliantly secretly got picked as delegates for Romney while knowing they would vote for Paul after the first vote. If given the chance they would have voted for Paul even if their state voted for Santorum or Romney. They infiltrated the delegate count. Alaska, where I am from, had this problem and a huge percentage of our delegates, under false pretense became delegates for Romney and at the state convention had a hay day. This is why the rules count was not so controversial to everyone minus the Ron Paul guys. Though it also opened up another hill of beans…

There is a great article on Ron Paul’s delegate army put out by the Business Insider, linked on http://www.americanparchment.com. It explains so much of this controversy that came out today. This site also has all past speeches and article about the convention. There is so much happening behind the scenes.

The Tea Party voters are up in arms all over the country with the power grab that they have done, many are now talking about Gary Johnson and that will take more votes from Romney than just us Paul supporters. I have been telling you for a long time now that Romney needed the Paul supports in order to win, which is fact, but now the rest of the Tea Party is going to start leaving him. Restored, Who cares about Romeny’s VP pick when Paul is going to win the nomination? Romney does not have real supporters. He has supporters that blindly listen to the media, a handful of people that know what is best for our country? BS! Rule 38 people. It is too late to get around it and Pau lis going to have an upset. The r3VOLution is going to prevail. No delegate is bound by any state or district. The first round, all delegates can vote their conscience. Over one third of Romney’s supposed delegates are Paul supporters. Paul is winning the majority of delegates in the caucuses. We have done a good job of infiltrating the ranks and will have well over 1144 Paul supporters as delegates at the convention. The media continues to black out all this reality, and it is going to backfire on them severely. With the blackout, Romney supporters lacked in enthusiasm and loyalty and are losing delegates continuously. It is too late now to turn back the tide. We will be a force to be reckoned with at the convention. We will have over twenty thousand military and veterans for Ron Paul surrounding the convention hall. It is going to make great history. I cannot wait.
      Ron Paul 2012!!!

Answer: Exactly the same way as before… you didn’t. So when you get right down to the bottom line… screw Ron Paul and his Obama enabling supporters. You didn‘t want US and WE don’t need you.

You and your anti-American, enemy endorsing, traitor endorsing, Al-Qaeda/Bin Laden/Obama and Rearend Wright parroting Messiah just got some well deserved “BLOWBACK” for the BS HE and YOU have been pulling for the last 8 years… culminating with the election of Obama until now. This isn’t a repudiation of the Tea Party Movement, or Grass Roots Movements in general… this was a repudiation of Ron Paul and his supporters plain and simple… AND… HE and you DESERVED what HE and YOU got.

Now go toss your vote to Obama like you planned on. You have been zeroed-out anyways for a number of reasons.

I fear that Obama will win at this point, my boss feels the same way, and we are sick about it. I believe that nothing can be done at this point. I believe that if Romney would have just let Ron Paul have his delegates and looked at his fiscal policies, that maybe there could have been unity, and Romney would have won the nomination anyway. But now I believe that he has torn us apart and it makes me very nervous for our future.

Made the error of looking in on Pansyboy Matthews on PMSNBC. He had Chuckie Crispy saying that the R Party turned way right about 2 years ago. And woosie Matthews actually called Crispy a Republican. What a kidder. Funny thing was I was watching the delegate count and heard the name Paul. I don’t think he got enough votes to be nominated, but I got the distinct impression that Senator Earmarks followers are miffed he lost. And they sound much like DEMOCRATS in their rancor. My guy didn’t win either but , Mitt will get my vote, as I love America more than I love my choice of nominee. Go Figure.

I feel like I’m barging in on my cellphone into a theatre at the end of the movie. But the dialogue is soooo drawn out and the bad guy‘s going to win but he won’t pull the trigger. Pull the trigger, let’s get this party started. Take off the masks and show us what we’re fighting for. Show us what side we’re on. I’m sure some of these blaze readers would pee their pants to know that Satan was going to win either way as he plays both sides of the field. We dropped the ball when we told God to go away and that we don’t need Him. Ye reap what ye sow. Now stop worrying about the world and start worrying about yourself. Ask yourself where you’re going to go when you die or if you even care because that will dictate your side of the field. Enjoy the fireworks. Peace and know that Jesus saves and never promised you the Constitution.

As for the hardcore Paulites…they better think hard about what another 4 years of Obamadamage will do to this country. I tell them to remember what Obama told Medvedev in Russia..”I’ll have more flexibility after the election”. Think real heard folks because obama’s made his intentions clear…he won‘t be accountable to the voters and he’s already ruling by executive fiat. Do you really believe Americans need more pain that you’ll sit this one out? Vote Obama out, then clean house if Romney is a disappointment.

The problem with many of you Paul guys is your delusion of self-grandeur as if your vote is really that important. The reality is the Ron Paul voting block that is stupid enough to not vote Romney is probably substantially less than the transgender voting block.

You’re just going to have to come up with another insulting term to call people that love liberty and the Constitution, because we’re not going to go away. All you establishment folks alienated the TEA Party folks as well so I’m guessing most of you will be taking your dirtnaps before the GOP ever controls the WH again. At least I’ll be able to look my child/grandchildren in the eye and honestly say I did everything I could to prevent them from being sold into slavery when I’m on my death bed. If all of you want to know what Romney has done to himself, go to Freedom Works Tea Party site and start reading the posts. A lot of people are talking Gary Johnson now, and Freedom Works is the largest Tea Party in the country:

“FreedomWorks … has risen to prominence as one of the most influential groups in American politics today.”
      — The Atlantic, November 5, 2009

“FreedomWorks is the best in the business at grassroots organizing.”
—Glenn Beck, conservative radio and TV personality

“I was driving past various voting locations on Election Day and saw all these FreedomWorks signs with my name on it – and I just, well, almost teared up. God Bless FreedomWorks.”
