Mitt Romney Responds to Obama‘s ’Romney Hood’ Attack, Coins His Own Phrase: ‘Obamaloney’

The political rhetoric between President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney seems to be spiraling out of control.
Yesterday, Obama claimed Romney’s economic policies made him the reverse “Robin Hood,” or as the president cleverly put it, “Romney Hood.” Now, Romney has now trademarked his own phrase: “Obamaloney” in response to the attacks coming from the Obama campaign.
“We’ve been watching the president say a lot of things about me and about my policies, and they’re just not right,” Romney told Fox News. ”And, if I were to coin a term, it would be ‘Obamaloney.’ He’s serving up a dish which is simply in contradiction of the truth… he’s just simply saying things that are not accurate.”
Though many voters wish the candidates would just stick to the issue and stop with the petty name calling and clever one-liners, that is unlikely to happen now that the very contentious election season is just heating up.
Fox News’ Carl Cameron may have said it best: “So the president opens with ‘Romney Hood’ and Mr. Romney calls that and raises it with an ‘Obamaloney.’ And it looks like we are going to get a lot more of that everyday.”
Watch the video here and weigh in on the political rhetoric:

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 7:40pmTo all those Obama lovers. Hoover ran for president in 1928. He made promises too, as Obama did. He promised a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage. He was elected on his promises. In 1929, the great depression hit and by 1932 the American people were also ready for a change as they are today, and DID NOT RE-ELECT HOOVER. This too, is Obama’s fate. He promised change and all we got from him was a change for the worse. The American people needed change after Carter and gave us Reagan and a great boon to the American economy. Now, once again, the American people have awakened and will replace Obama. Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.

All Romney really needs to do is to publically display all of Obamas considerable list of economic failures and …poof …he wins. Unless you are one of the multitudes living off of the government it is blatantly obvious that 4 years of liberalism and spending have gotten us nowhere. Stick to the facts let the liberals lie and falsely accuse.

Take a leadership course and one of the first things they teach you is a good decision is better than a bad decision, and bad decisions are better than indecision.
Romney is not fit to lead because Romney is not fit to decide. He’s a walking cardboard box, so concerned with pleasing everyone that he refuses to get off the fence on any issue. He has no principles and he therefore is not fit to lead.

Neither phrase was clever or funny and to me signals a lack of character and sense of humor in both men.
I am absolutely stunned that they had time to prepare these comment and this is the best they could come up with. Pathetic. I guess, as long as it keeps the facade of an argument they have done their jobs. When they agree on Big Govt all they got left is personal attacks that seem to be strait out of the school yard. Did they consult a six year old on come backs “Romney Hood” and “Obamaloney”. I am ashamed this is what the election has devolved to at such an important time for our country.
This should make everyone miss Ron Paul who brought an adult attitude to the table and wanted to address real issues. Now we are stuck with these two child like morons who no know nothing of why we are in this mess or how to get us out. And funds raised isn’t exactly indicative. Romney’s base is the 1% – the guys with 70% of the nation’s money. While they can purchase all the commercial airtime and ads they want, they can’t buy more votes.
In other words, the top 1% may be the majority of funding, but at vote time it’s worth 1%.

Conservatives aren’t creative. It’s genetic. No vision. No connection to the unseen things like music and poetry and humor. But they’re quick to believe in the Guy in the Sky. White beard and all. It fills the void for them. Plus they get to push off all their failures and fears and desires on Him. Absolves them of an personal responsibility. Very handy that Guy.

We want intelligent discourse on the platforms of each candidate, and their positions of resolving the severe problems facing this country. I‘ll admit that I’m a Republican and can see nothing redeemable, promising, or truthful with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Wasserman-Schulz and many more Democrats. Obama truly has little in the way of achievement to run on, so all he can do is attack, leaving Romney to defend. This leaves little to explain to the voters what each “will or will not do for the American voting public”. And, the Democrats are actively & openly working to destroy anything Republican (VP choice…after they eliminated numerous other potential POTUS candidates that were huge threats to Obama) or Republican financial supporters, even using the IRS or Labor Dept. to do so. I want a REAL campaign, with MATURE candidates, and TRUTH!!! Don’t ask for much, do I?

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 7:22pmI’m a Paul supporter that thinks the GOP and the globalists on both side have successfully shut Ron Paul out of the process. I also don’t believe most people will vote third party. I know I’m going to. Both parties suck. I’d like to political parties outlawed in this country. I think the GOP committed suicide by disenfranchising so many younger voters they way they have. They‘ve demonstrated they’d stop at nothing including fraud, intimidation and down right cheating to shore up that nomination for their liberal, progressive, warmongering chickhawk draft dodging, bilderberger, elitist, globalist, statist, fascist…. sack of turds. I mean really, it’s the old timers that dropped the ball that are shutting us out and are going to be dead soon. I hope that SS check is worth your grandchildren’s freedom. I don’t see the young Ron Paul followers any different except maybe in economics (to a degree). Romney built his own business and didn’t even take a salary as Governor.
Obama hides his grades and his writings for a reason only he knows.
Romney’s grades were excellent and his writings are pro-America.
