A teacher at a local Minnesota technical school was so fed up with shoveling and snowblowing recently, that he decided make his own version of a snowplow using his Ford Taurus. It works…but only in reverse:

Report Post »… but be warned – I‘m sure some Union stooge or gov’t employee (same difference) will find or create some legislation banning individuals from using anything other than a snow shovel for clearing their driveway. He will surely come home and find his car red-tagged and tires slashed…..

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 12:20pmLet’s see, he got tired of waiting for the city(likely union) to plow his roads?
Report Post »Flannery
Posted on February 22, 2011 at 7:45pmNot a union fan, but I can say that the roads get plowed here in Minnesota in a very timely manner. The local highway departments, mostly unionized get the work done. I‘m sure that the over that cherished President’s Day holiday cost us double time and one-half, but at least the roads were cleared within hours of the end of the storm.
The teacher was plowing his own driveway, not a municipal obligation, yet.

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 12:12pmWonder how long it will take the state regulators to descend to tell him he is breaking some law? Then of course will come the tax man to get the governments share of whatever value the gov. determines he is getting from his invention. Also of course he will have to deal with union thugs demanding he join a union “or else”. Cool invention, I wish him luck.

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 11:24amGood for him. I have one of these fine Ford Tauras automobiles sitting in my driveway. It’s in the same spot it has been since we had it towed from the side of the road 6 months ago. If I were him I would be very careful plowing with a Taurus. Regular driving caused the transmission to fail in mine. I can’t foresee a Taurus holding up long if plowing snow. I bought mine from Pinkley motors. I guess that makes it a Pinkley Taurus.

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 11:16amA company called ‘Snow Sport’ makes these things and they are reasonably priced. Just plug it into your 2″ trailor hitch receiver and go. It’s cool that he was able to make his own and save some money though. That‘s what I’d do.
