Mob of Teens Reportedly Steals $3,000 Worth of ‘Nudie’ Jeans From Chicago Store

Flash Mob Hits Chicago to Steal $3,000 Worth of Nudie Jeans After Rahm Emanuel Lectures Country on Chicago Values Over Chick Fil A

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been talking a lot about “Chicago values” recently, saying, for instance, that they are not in line with Chick-Fil-A because the company’s president believes in traditional marriage.

Earlier this month, in a heartfelt plea to clean up the city, Emanuel told the city’s “gang bangers” to “take [their] stuff to the alley“ and to ”stay away from the kids.”

“And it is about values,” Emaneul elaborated.  “Who raised you? How were you raised?  And I don‘t buy this case where people say they don’t have values.  They do have values– they have the wrong values.”

But what happens when the city’s teenagers are contributing to the crime rate?  How do flash-mobs factor into “Chicago values”?

CBS Chicago has video of a recent looting in a Chicago neighborhood:

Here is more information, via CBS Chicago:

From the moment the teens started flooding in the door at Mildblend Supply Co. on Milwaukee Avenue around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, [store owner Luke Cho] knew something wasn’t right.

You see a group a group of teenagers walking in – or marching in – one-by-one. As you can see, it looks like it’s some kind of procession,” Cho said while reviewing the surveillance video on Sunday.

To Cho, it looked like a flash mob was about to rob the store, so he immediately locked the door.

“At least I think I kind of maybe stopped the flow a little bit, but I quickly realized something bad’s about to happen, and I alerted my staff to call 911,” Cho said.

Most of the group flocked to an corner of the store right beneath a security camera, and appeared to know exactly what they were looking for: an exclusive, expensive brand of jeans called Nudie Jeans, which average about $200 a pair. [Emphasis added]

Cho uploaded the store’s security footage to YouTube in an effort to help nab the perpetrators:

The store’s owner said that after he locked up the store, more people outside started banging on the door, presumably in an effort to get in.  However, it’s difficult to know how aggressive they were without sound for the security footage.

Based on his experience, Cho predicts such “flash” robberies are likely to become more common.

“I think if they zero in on a product they want to steal, they’re going to go anywhere, and basically organize, and plan it to hit what they want,” he explained.

To top it all off, it reportedly took police about 30 minutes to arrive after Cho placed the 911 call.

Officers said they were delayed by the many street closures for Wicker Park Fest and, though they’re investigating the robbery, there were no arrests as of Sunday afternoon.

      The Chick-Fil-A reference in this story is a huge apples to oranges comparison. If this were two storys that were used to attack conservative causes Beck would be the first person to point that out. Isn’t there some media double standard that people were mentioning earlier?

      Rahm did not goad these animals into stealing the jeans. It is what they do when they KNOW that absolutely NOTHING will happen to them. Just because Rahm can send thugs your way with nothing more than a glance and a sniff does not mean the he has no values.       You’ve got it right on, Mil-Dot. They’re out-of-control, not only in Chicago but throughout the entire country.

      Incidentally, Obama just signed an executive order declaring that blacks in the schools CANNOT be disciplined disproportionately from other groups, like Asians….who commit practically no behavior problems……whites…who commit just a few…and Hispanics who do not even come close to black misconduct and criminal behavior. Yet if 100 blacks commit atrocious infractions in the schools, every other group must have the same proportion disciplined for something….obviously whether they did anything wrong or not.

      I’ve personally encouraged mobs of trespassing teens to leave our private community pool with death threats, and haven’t seen them since.

      They the threatened to come back after dark and suggested I wouldn’t do anything but call the police. I told them that I would do no such thing, but rather I would cal the coroner.

      These kids would fine if somebody either acquainted them with the back of their hand or familiarized them with the distinct sound of a 12 gage being pumped into action.

      Cocaine is a powerful drug, but fear is a far better motivator.

      I saw this in Asbury Park in the 70s. The good stores left the west side because of the rampant theft, then the few stores that stayed got burned out in a riot. Then the west-siders had the nerve to complain that there were no stores on the west side.     They are criminals.
    How is the public going to help identify these thieves, with fuzzy video and/or their faces blurred out?
    I’ve seen the original video. It’s in focus and no faces blurred out.
    Guess the media is trying to hide the fact, that most of the thieves are minorities.

      I was about to write the same thing. Blurring because they are “minors” but they are old enough to STEAL.

      The answer isn’t showing their faces. The answer isn’t schools, government, parenting, or anything like that. The answer is a Glock 19 on every employees hip fully loaded with 3 extra mags. Also add a shotgun holding 6 with a butt cuff full of 6 extra for each employee locked away behind the counter.

      Do that and regardless of where you are you’ll have the safest store in the country.

      DORA, I saw around a dozen or so FELONS nothing more and nothing less. That’s how our (Right vs. Left) Worldview’s differ. You Lefties instinctually sort the Felons into sub-groups. I do not.

      Asians, like Luke Cho, have exploited the Black community for decades by displaying expensive items in their stores that Black people cannot afford. There was one skinny white kid in the mob who should be prosecuted but the Black people were just seeking compensation for their noble Black ancestors who were slaves.
