    Global Warming is a ruse and the people like Al Gore and Michael Moore need to go to jail for perpetrating this scam for the purpose of making money. I don’t feel sorry for the unwitting idiots that believe this tripe because we each have to be personally responsible for ourselves. If you buy the Brooklyn Bridge so be it but the Department of Justice and the Attorney General should be arresting the people who sell it to you.

    I read Al Gore’s book way back when it first came out, I think that was 1988, or somewhere around there. I have been calling Global Warming a hoax longer than most people have been aware of it. I knew at some point, actual facts would be self evident. Show me your Global Warming now, AlGore.

    The issue isn’t whether the climate changes or trends up and down. It’s whether humans are having a major impact. The issue isn’t with “global warming”, but with “ANTHROPOMORPHIC global warming”. There is a massive distinction.

    This guy was on the documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle. Just Google the movie and watch it. Only 76 minutes long but invaluably informing. And DO NOT take my word for it: global warming is a ploy to redistribute wealth AND (wait for it) keep third world countries from enjoying the benefits of wealth and electricity (note the part of the documentary that discusses abundant natural gas/oil in impoverished areas of Africa where the inhabitants are forced to use cow dung to cook dinner). Also, DO NOT take the word of the Phd’s and climate experts in the documentary (although ONE of them knows MORE about the global warming issue than a football stadium FULL of global warming alarmists/Gores/activists). Look it up yourself. These global warming, I mean, climate change alarmists are full of hooey. Next they will try and outlaw chlorine! And it is part of the periodic table! Oops! That’s covered in the documentary also.

      The CO2 absorption spectrum is covered by H2O for the most part, which is a far superior “green house gas”. Therefore, if the world were to warm up FOR ANY REASON, there’d be more water in the air. Therefore, with more water in the air, less energy would be escaping to space in the H2O absorption spectrum (which essentially covers the CO2 absoption spectrum). Therefore, if the earth were to warm up FOR ANY REASON we’d see less energy escaping at the CO2 absoption spectrum. This makes it difficult to draw any conclusions on the source of any real or perceived warming trend based solely on the amount of energy escaping the atmosphere over a given range of photon energies which represents the CO2 absorption spectra.

      Scientists don’t tend to use words like “consensus” and “endorsement.” Prevailing theories die all the time when confronted with new evidence. Belief, however widespread, plays no role in whether something is true or false. To put it more simply, scientists generally don’t care about consensus.

      As a scientist, when I read statements with obvious fallacies supporting AGW (like the one quoted above) and hear the rhetoric involved (which is something more similar to political speech then scientific evidence) it makes me very skeptical.

      Funny how they had to cook the books to get the data to show what they wanted it to, it’s all about the money, look you have a few special folks that stand to make billions if they can pull this scam off.
      Remember a good 30 years ago the same loons were telling us we were all going to die from global cooling, that didn’t work, so they change it to global warming, but even their number showed a decline in global temps in the late 1990′s and they had to change the name to climate change. They really don’t even have any facts that pass the smell test.

      My theory, and I’m trying to see to South Park as follow on to their Global Warming episode, that al “the bore” gore has a secret safe room at his huge mansion so when he’s outed as the phoney he is, he‘s gonna go down there and flip a switch and turn all those windmills he has planted as eye sores everywhere and either claim he’s trying reverse the earth’s rotation (w/ his fake science, I believe he’ll believe he can) by turning them in a certain direction or he‘ll point them at the North Pole and say he’s gonna melt the polar ice cap. Silly, I know, but makes for a funny South Park episode.

We need global marxism and redistribution of wealth. What else can we pretend to believe in if not global warming? Global warming is our best chance for political goals and tens of trillions of dollars every year. We‘ll just use tricks to make it look like the globe is warming if it’s not actually warming.       You really need to go back to third grade. Co2 is a major part of our ecological system. Without it ALL plant life would die(save for the Venus Fly Trap). Without plants, MAN would die. You see, there’s this little process that God created called Photosynthesis, it’s a process through which mankind and ALL plant life sustain each other.

      In FACT, since you love to quote “scientific facts”, the atmospheric Co2 levels today are approximately 400 parts per million. Twenty five thousand years ago the Co2 level was 6,000 parts per million. This leaves just one question for you fruitcakes; if Co2 is causing “global warming/climate change/global climate disruption(any names I forgot?), then why didn’t the planet burn up before idiots like Gore were ever born?

      It’s not exactly hard to figure out AGW is bunk. The quantities of CO2 we have are too small to accomplish any measurable amount of heat retention and no heat generation. O2 traps more heat than CO2. The AGW folks always respond that CO2 is a green house gas and O2 is not. Those are labels; and, they don’t fit.

      Then you top that off with Global warming on Mars, and other planets; and, it’s pretty hard to argue that the solar powered rovers did it.

      AGW insisters that claim the Sun as being hotter or colder than weather on earth would suggest, ignore general solar activity data. The have to in order to make the claim.

      Overall solar activity is what needs to be looked at – not just minor IR fluctuations. In fact, the best predictor is probably the UV fluctuations. The increase dramatically just before CMEs; and, elevated UV reacts in our Ozone Layer translating UV into IR through well understood chemical processes.
      Not saying that UV accounts for all of it, just that the Sun is the primary driver of our temps and that UV is a much larger component than most seem to think it to be.

      Other factors like cosmic particle/ray deflection by the Sun, electromagnetic effects in the Ionosphere, and direct IR effects all play a part in the total. Water vapor varies from location to location; but, generally increases when solar activity does. CO2 increases after ice, containing trapped quantities of it, melts. While the CO2 has no measurable impact on the temps, water vapor does have some positive forcing effect – IE water vapor, triggered by Solar activity, helps retain more heat. Also, more of the earth is effected than the portion facing the Sun. It’s basic geometry.

      The Atmosphere that surrounds the earth is exposed to more of the sun than just the area of the earth facing it. Draw two circles, one inside the other. The one in the middle is earth. The one on the outside is the Atmosphere. Draw a third circle on a far corner of the page. Draw lines from that circle that intersect the other two. Then draw more lines that only intersect the outer circle.

      Assorted layers of the atmosphere trap rays that pass through it and direct some of that energy down to earth.

      In this way far more of the earth gets solar output than just the portion facing it; and, earth‘s temperature is effected the the temperature of it’s atmosphere; so, shifts in solar activity are amplified by the normal structure and makeup of the atmosphere, without any man made help whatsoever.

      It takes a pretty narrow, egotistical and or/duplicitous, point of view to think that man made CO2 levels can in any measurable way effect the temperature of the planet.

      The evidence that CO2 has little or no effect is overwhelming.

      The evidence that the Sun itself is the primary driver is clear and convincing.

We have had extreme cold, windy, blustery weather for 5 straight weeks in NJ…….We have a couple feet of snow in the east coast areas from S.C. up thru New England…….This astrophysicist can “counter” anything these “green planet” criminals can argue……..and when do we get these scum bags to start telling the truth ? I really don’t get it…..the media has that much to gain by helping to perpetrate this “Global Lie” ?       Right you are old chap. I love global warming. Those 4 airports closed this morning around NYC would be 40 and not for a few days. How about 3 or 4 months and not 2 feet of snow instead of 5 foot. An old man like me can’t handle the 19 degrees we had in Oklahoma this morning, old arthur was really squaking. It takes July and Aug. at 100+ to thaw my bones out and get me ready for winter. Everyone needs to quit griping about the wearher and just enjoy it. This just another test the lord is giving and you can’t do anything about it. Yhe farmers almac says you haven’t seen anything yet – remember last January.

      Ummm, I think you failed basic Biology, unless they changed since I was in High School, which I am pretty sure they have, but last time I checked plants need CO2 to grow and when they grow they produce O2, which we need to breath. So, if by what you’re saying, if Co2 is SUCH a horrible thing and a big factor, by YOUR version of things, the planet should be over run w/ plants and trees and flowers. Also on that same vein, humans give off CO2, with that said, every time we, also meaning YOU better red, you’re polluting and causing “global whining” oops I mean warming. So, interest of the planet please stop breathing… STOP!!! YOU’RE BREATHING!!! DON’T EXHALE BETTER, YOU’RE POLLUTING THE PLANET, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!

      Climate change occurs on a larger time scale than humans usually are willing to understand; the changes and cycles occur on a decade or even generational scale of time. We are use to dealing with events now on a daily, hourly, or at most a weekly time scale and refuse for the most part to think beyond those terms.

      These morons of the UN and such have admitted they are crooks and liars as well, only interested in the redistribution of global wealth – under their supervision, and pocket books, of course.

      Is man so arrogant as to think he is GOD and can change the climate of a whole planet. MightI recommend you read“ Unstoppable Global Warming” by Fred Singer and Dennis Avery. Many say they lie but they verify with foot notes and refrences every claim they make. IE… Greenland. ice is receeding and revealing villages from 900AD Viking farmers. So how did those farms get under that ice? Maybe the earth was warmer for 500 years during that period? Why did Native Americans tell explorers of a NorthWest Passage if it had not existed before. What better way to control and tax man than by creating a false science? Most climate models in use take into account less than 20% of the variables that affect climate. I just made myself a Climate Scientists and my proven theory is that concrete, buildings and pavement cause Global warming. Proof? Does the air not get hotter above plowed(dark) fields, above cities such as Atlanta, La, NYC etc…? If not then how am I able to rise on these thermal in my glider? The US now dumps 1/10 of the pollutants in the air that we did in 1950. The air is actually getting cleaner. So exactly how is man creating Global Warming? OOPS!Global Climate change. It may go up or down so you must name it to cover both contingencies. The whole thing is a bunch of hog wash. It is just a money making scheme.

      it is a cycle but the cycle is changing in the 21st century there has been more sun spots than ever recorded in the 20th century usually the temperature goes up and down in 11 year cycles of hot and cold climate now due to sun spots it is in a more radical 22 year cycle and guess what were at the end of the warm cycle…..get your jackets its about to get real cold for the next two decades

Yeah, I believe the weather has cycles and we’ve been going into a cold cycle for a while (and they say when it gets cooler, that’s because of Global Warming.) Most of us admit we aren’t scientists, and I believe God controls the weather, whether cows burp or we toot, it makes no difference. Cold cycle, warm cycle, that’s life, be prepared with a good coat.

      The EPA will put this to rest shortly, by imposing all the carbon nonsense so they can rip off our industry and taxpayers to enrich the correct politicans and others “in the know”.
      Only a few thousand “fair” trials and executions of the ringleaders in this scam will redress the situation. Of course Al and Barry fit in that situation so don’t hold your breath for that to happen.

      A cycle that never seems to repeat it’s self. According to science the Earth has been volcanic, temperate, acidic oceans, frozen waste land and dried up prune. If there is a cycle it is one greater than science has proven and well beyond the ability of modern man to control.
      I know, I know. We are the God appointed Stewards of the Earth and our little Man Gods have repeatedly pointed this out to us and that is why we continue to kill each other. This is clearly a question over the methods employed to reach this conclusion, and an immense lack of raw data for verification.

Fact, they were all wrong. When the weather man can get next weeks weather right 100% of the time, then I will believe that they can be right about the longer term. However, they are lucky if they bat 50%, so don’t hold your breath.
