Mom Banned From Facebook After Posting Photo of 5-Year-Old ‘Nursing’ 2-Year-Old Sister

Mom Lauren Ferrari Banned From Facebook After Posting Photo of 5 Year Old Nursing 2 Year Old Sister

A Seattle mom is outraged that she was banned from Facebook after posting a photo of her 5-year-old daughter pretending to breastfeed her 2-year-old sister.

Lauren Ferrari told KOMO-TV her girls were just playing and that the picture of them was completely innocent. Facebook evidently disagreed, yanking the photo from the site and banning Ferrari for seven days.

“When I posted it I said, ‘She says she’s nursing her baby,’” Ferrari told the station. “She didn’t say, ‘Mommy look, she’s kissing my boobie.’”

The photo was gone less than 24 hours after Ferrari posted it to Facebook. In its place, she had a message from the site saying she’d violated their terms of use, though not specifically how. Facebook’s safety guidelines prohibit content that is pornographic or contains nudity.

“They did not say it was child pornography,” she said. “They were not clear, they were really vague.”

Stefanie Thomas of the Seattle Police Department‘s Internet Crimes Against Children told KOMO she doesn’t think the photo qualifies as child pornography, but said it was still a poor decision for Ferrari to post it.

“There’s no real way of actually getting wherever that image ends up down off the Internet. So that’s something that this family, that these girls, are going to have to ultimately deal with,” Thomas told the station.

Ferrari said she still does not see anything wrong with the photo.

“It’s not sexual and they were just pretending,” she said. “What’s obscene about breastfeeding?”

    That is some sick family.

Lets hear it for all those feminazis that keep forcing the public breast feeding on us.

Some people do not deserve children. This is an example of feeble mindedness at the max. This parent(s) have no feelings for their children that is normal. This parent allowing this is likely a psychopathic personality who has no normal feelings for her children, let alone for others.

As innocent and non offensive as breast feeding is, advocates have to realize that the perverts among us will always sexualize it. Therefore, in order to keep it inoffensive and non-sexualized, use discreet methods in public, and don’t (for the love of Pete) post these pictures on the INTERNET!

yeah but the problem with that it everything is and can be sexualized. hell im old enough to remember hitting peuberty and all we has was the sears catalog, and scramble vision or a shot of a side boobie you think you saw at the beach 2 summers ago. in other words we were completly able to sexualize a bunch of squiggly lines or a half faded memory that may or may not have happened, then the pic is obviously not the problems. we cant walk on eggshells cause of a few bad apples. perverts have been around since day 1. not more, not less the same. we just notice it more now

Usually on FB people keep their photos private. FB claims that they check every photo that goes on the site, but there are literally millions every day going up and load within seconds. Most of the time, someone has to report an image before it gets taken down. Which means that someone who is her “friend” reported her pic and got her into trouble. Anonymously. AND that picture is not “kiddie porn”. I sat through a grand jury trial years ago, before I had my beautiful kids. The evil individuals who were on trial did not pander anything this innocent. I am literally scarred for life from the evidence we had to look over. They deserved the death penalty. On the other hand, I am extremely careful about what I allow online about my kids. But since she has decided to talk to the media, what should have been a private photo, shared between family who would have thought it was cute or funny is now national news.

I’m sure pedophiles would find the photo sexually arousing. It is probably in photo albums all over the world by now. What if the kids were 10 or 15 years older ? How would it look then ? Peverted minds want to know…

I am shocked at the number of people who don’t understand what is at stake. The children are innocent, but the perverts who get turned on by kiddie porn will certainly be excited by this image. The mother is beyond clueless and I can’t help but marvel that she is concerned about her “rights” to post on Facebook and not her children’s safety or the possible abuse to which this very inflammatory image will be subject. Way to go, selfish woman, try to incite the sickos to molest children and lust after your babies.

Agreed. I would NOT want some psycopath half-way around the world lusting after a photo of my kids. I wouldn’t let my kids do this to begin with–innocent enough, maybe, but it’s still just a little too weird for me. Little girl breastfeeding her doll, okay, but breastfeeding her sister? No thanks. Either way, shouldn’t be something the world is able to use and abuse to their liking.

Settle down everyone….kids mimic their parents. God made breast feeding a pure and necessary act that is good in His eyes. The girls were just doing what mom does. It’s MAN that made it dirty and sexual. What IS appalling, however, is sharing that moment with others outside of the family (for all to see).

Get off of social media!!!….especially Facebook and Twitter!!!!

I would not LET my kids do that if I ever saw them do that. They are innocent, sure, but kids should still be taught what is ok and appropriate. I certainly would not make it public. Was the mom promoting this??

Some things are meant to be private. Like how we make a baby. Not a bad thing to make a baby. But to take pictures of that process and post them, um, yes. Another type of thing that was meant to be private and STAY private. What lack of judgment some parents have.

Context is everything. Just because someone didn‘t read the caption about feeding my doll and had a perverted mind doen’t corrupt the reality of what was going on in the picture. Its the equivalent of someone misunderstanding my words, assuming racist intent and charging me with a hate crime.

When my kids (daughters) were small… we would take those old polaroid pics that slid out of the bottom of the camera (you would wave in the air to dry) of little naked “bottoms” shown from the rear of course… or “shirtless in diaper” pics running all over the place like a couple of wild banshees. Glad those pics turned brown and were trashed long ago or we might be in jail !

This seems to be a wee bit creepier IMO… okay, maybe a lot creepier.

Social media… where everybody gets to show their own @ss (15 minutes of fame) and maybe their kiddies @sses too or more. Not a good idea…

It’s not actually porn because it doesn’t really portray anything sexual, but, sadly, it would certainly be used as porn by someone whose diseased mind causes him to want to see it as sexual. Its removal was a wise decision.
