CNN:
Severe storms pummeled Alabama and cut a path of destruction across several other southern states Wednesday, killing at least 66 people across the region, leveling buildings and trapping residents in their homes.
Alabama appeared to be the hardest hit Wednesday night, with at least 45 people killed in severe storms and tornadoes, said LaureeAshcom, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 8:48amThis is what scientists who talked about global warming or climate change predicted. colder winters, hotter summers, more severe storms..

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 3:51pmIt is also what was predicted by the bible for the end of times. We may be in the beginnings of the tribulation period, I would believe the bible version over the man-made global warming theory. God controls mother nature. Not man.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 8:47amVery bizarre weather this year. We were hit by nine tornadoes a few weeks ago in the Tampa area. I have a feeling it’s going to be a wild hurricane season.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 8:40amWhat a tragic situation. What really gripes me is the little dip s****t on the last video telling all the people that he and his tv people are going to get you through this ok. All weather people are so damn self serving. I turn away from all my local weather and change my channel on tv to a cable channel so you can see the screen with out all there self serving pat themselves on the back attitutde.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 8:02amI live in Birmingham, last night as my wife and I huddled in our basement, we heard our neighborhood named on TV as being in the tornado’s path. We were spared but the thought of having everything you own, swept away, inches over your head isn’t pleasant. There’s a saying that there are no atheist in foxholes and there were none in our basement either. The death and destruction we’re seeing on the news this morning is terrible, please pray for these families that have lost their whole world.

You do not need to feel helpless. I was a P.O. in Homestead, FL and am a survivor of Hurricane Andrew back in 1992. The City was so smart back then, got that call mid-afternoon and was told, “stay home, come in as soon as the storm is over”. Living 16 blocks north and 14 blocks west of the police station, you would think I would have arrived in a matter of minutes. Well, it took hours! The city landscape was hard to identify, no landmarks remained to indicate your whereabouts.
I said all that to say this, you can relieve that helpless feeling by going and helping with the clean up. Helping friends would be nice but, helping someone you don’t know can be even more rewarding. Show up with some ice, beverages and a bit of food. Let them know you care about them and you will be back the next day.
The government was so smart back in 1992 and I doubt it has changed that much over the years. They put relief supplies in a central location and have the citizens come there and pick it up. What a STUPID idea. My neighbors knew that when the sun came up every morning, they could come to my house and in the yard would be ice, water and food – ENOUGH FOR ONE DAY….
I was amazed, people only took what they needed for that day. I made friends that I still keep in contact with today and I now live in another state. Until that happened, I had no idea who my neighbors were but, when everyone has lost everything they own, everybody is on the same level. You can do it, JUST GO!!!!! I promise you, you will not have that helpless feeling while you are there.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 6:51amMassive violent storms happen on the same day Obama releases his birth certificate. The Anti-Christ has spoken — even God can not save us from the WRATH of this Black devil. Soon it will be revealed that all of the people who died were Republicans and Tea Partiers. Obama has teabagged us all. On your knees everyone – pray that Glenn can save us.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 5:55amMay God look over these people during their time of need. I use to live right out side of Oklahoma City, OK and my son and I, at night, were headed to the storm shelter to take cover from a tornado. Little did we realize we were driving into the tornado, you can’t see them at night. Luckily I realized it and headed a different direction. It was the scariest thing I have ever experienced in my life. God Bless.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 5:45amThis is a huge tornado and it cut right through populated areas. I was in a small tornado event many years ago as a boy. At one point I was standing on the back sidewalk of our house looking almost straight up into it, then we fled. I felt very small and frightened. I pray for those who lost their lives and all those who lived through this. Jesus indeed be with them.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 5:27amI feel blessed and guilty at the same time. I live in Tupelo, MS. The tornadoes struck hard and many people lost their lives in small towns all around us. I don’t know why our little city was spared, but, I thank God we were and pray for aid & comfort for everyone in the path and wake of this system.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 9:06pmTake a look at Matthew Ch. 24, tough times will precede the Second Coming of Christ. The good won’t always be spared, they will have to endure great tribulations as a loving, and all-knowing God calls His wayward, stubborn children to repent and turn to Him. That chapter says those days will be shortened or even the very elect would fall. Unfortunately, sometimes we won‘t hear Him until there’s devastation in our lives. Sometimes we are spared, and sometimes we are called to suffer, or even die. We can be comforted in tribulation through prayer and scriptures, and often He answers our prayers through others. So help those suffering if you can.

Posted on April 28, 2011 at 11:10am@SMAK whats the sigh for!?!?! after FINALLY releasing his long form birth certificate yesterday, and specifically saying that he was glad that the distraction was over because we had much more important things to deal with…He rushed off to Chicago to do the #$@%^&* OPRAH SHOW. Then on to New York to hold 3 Campaign Fundraising events. This mans priorities are a joke, and so is your blind support of him, this from the same left wing that bashed bush for playing golf in during war time, this jackhole has 3 going and plays every other weekend.
