Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman is seeking to quash rumors that he plans to marry his step-granddaughter, issuing a statement this week that called the reports “defamatory fabrications.”

Reports first swirled in 2009 that the “Million Dollar Baby” actor, 74, had been carrying on a 10-year romantic relationship with E’Dena Hines, then 27 years old. The rumor mill kicked up again this week with claims that the alleged couple’s wedding was imminent.

“The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers,” Freeman said in a statement Thursday, according to The Wrap. “What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”

Hines added: “These stories about me and my grandfather are not only untrue, they are also very hurtful to me and my family.”

Hines is the granddaughter of Freeman’s first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw. Freeman and Bradshaw divorced in 1979 after 12 years of marriage.

Freeman and his second wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, divorced in 2010.

It’s sad really, that you can‘t enjoy an actor’s work anymore because they have to open their big fat mouths and spout off about stuff they have no clue about. Morgan Freeman was one of my favorite actors until he called me a racist and it started to come out about his “relationship” with his 50-year-younger former step daughter. Unfortunately, he’s like most of the Hollyweird elite, a total idiot with the morals and intellect of a dog in heat. I also used to really like Will Smith until I found out he’s involved in Scientology. Anyone stupid, gullible, or desperate enough to buy into that crap has to be off their nut.

I miss the old-school Hollywood types. I believe it was Sinatra who replied “what are you asking me for, I’m just a singer” (or something to that effect) when some reporter asked him a political question. Wouldn’t it be refreshing if any of the current crop of entertainers could act as classy? It doesn’t say much for their brains when they are willing to completely alienate 1/2 of their fan base because they can’t keep their lame-brained opinions to themselves.

I just do not like government sticking it‘s nose into everyone’s life.
      Example:
      repaving your driveway? $60 please
putting a fence up ANYWHERE on your property? starts at $100

These are two instances in my own tiny personal life.

      liberals like government.
There are genetic medical reasons that what we call incest, is a bad idea. These reasons back up and confirm the biblical prohibitions on incest. That being said; consenting adults who want to indulge in such behavior have at it. Ya know the consequences.

When someone says something about me that is untrue, I don‘t usually add that it’s very hurtful to me and my family. I just say it completely not true and they are a liar. I think people can tell whether or not something is hurtful to a family. “This sounds like, A NEED TO PROTECT.”
