Mother Who Left Infant in Hot Car Throws Water in Reporters Face

News 12 Long Island‘s Christine Insinga got the shock of a lifetime when she showed up to a woman’s house to ask questions about an incident involving the woman’s baby. Insigna was reportedly tracking down the mother, who, according to reports left her infant locked in the backseat of her car without rolling down the windows on a hot day. Insinga knocked on the woman’s front and was met by having a pitcher of water thrown in her face.

      Well, you know our society, she is guilty before getting proven innocent. Why doesn’t that reporter go to investigate George Soros or something else that is “Nation Changing” rather than to be the typical media vulture going to harass someone on their own property. Maybe it was that the woman is having a really hard time with something or someone, and she snapped leaving her child in the car, but now she feels so bad about it that next time she won’t do it? But now the media is getting in her face, and not letting her mourn in private for her mistake, and the woman is lashing out. This country makes me sick, and it’s life is short, really short.

      There is no rationalizing this, no decent mother leaves a 13 mo. old baby in a hot car with the windows up. It’s inexcusable. Plus to leave the door unlocked, although in this case I’m glad she did so the cops could help the baby, but that was just as reckless. Somebody could have snatched that baby up!

      And it doesn’t matter what color she is, stupid is as stupid does, and stupid comes in all shapes, sizes, colors and classes.

      I have to say that I hope all journalists get this sort of treatment in situations like this. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? All of these reporters are just trying to produce Casey Anthony type stories. If they want to interview an alleged criminal, how about they wait to do it until AFTER the trial. What’s the matter? Would that not be enough of an entertaining train wreck for you to stare at?

      This is the work of lazy and stupid journalists. They don’t want to do the real work it takes to dig into a story that truly matters. No, they’d rather go get the easy “point the finger” story. This reporter will get no sympathy or respect from me.

      Probably not the smartest of moves leaving an infant in a hot car. Having said that where do reporters get the idea they can walk on your property, knock on your door and perform a ambush interview. I think the individual showed a lot of restraint in just using water.

      To Eliasim,
      Every year in Arizona there is at least one incident of someone leaving their baby in the car and the baby dying. This is not a small mistake, with the windows rolled up the tempature in a car rises very fast along with the baby’s tempature. As a mother, I do not believe it is an accident when a baby is left in the car. If you snap so bad would you put your childs life in grave danger, you need to answer for it. Yes she is guilty, she is the mom, the baby was left in the car, the only way she would not be guilty is if the child were in someone elses care. If that were the case why would she be so angry? You said maybe she wont do it again, but what if she does and this time the baby dies?

      There is no excuse for leaving a baby in a car and rolling the windows down a tiny bit while you shop at KMart. That’s just inexcusable. Back in the late 80′s in my hometown, a teen got tired of not having her pre-baby life (she was an unwed mother at something like 16) and went to the mall to hang out with friends leaving her infant in the child seat in August with the windows rolled up. Baby died. She may feel guilt afterwards, but she sure didn’t while she was shopping. I say put her in the car and let her sweat it out.

      @Mizurax

      It’s not that she is assumed guilty….the cops arrived, baby was in the car seat, windows cracked, doors unlocked, and mom was shopping. I‘d say that’s caught red handed. I see no way of her not being guilty. She was caught. you must be the liberal that wants all criminals let out because no one in prison actually did the crime they’re accused of. What, did she put the baby in the car seat and “forget” she had a baby with her. The baby was over a year old, not an infant. Surely she was used to having a baby around by now.

      At least she didn’t hang her baby and leave it to rot. She apparently doesn’t hide behind women and children (only doors). She didn’t teach her child how to use guns to kill people because they are too chickensh*t to face people with guns themselves. At least she didn’t rape her child and do other things to it like all of your such dear cowardly evil wacko nutjobs that are so near and dear to your heart. I still have to say that you talk and act like you are probably one of these cowardly murderers and like the others either hiding in holes in the ground or hiding behind skirts like they are so proficient at doing.

      Americanism was the people who saw the child and jumped into action to save her, the cop who took the baby and put her into the air conditioned car and the family with the big heart who is willing to care for this child until the courts deal with the situation.

Maybe this mother should read up on how Casey Anthony murdered her baby if she wants to kill and get away with it. This baby is in desperate need of rescuing – immediately. WHO made the decision to place this baby back in her killer’s arms? About the reporter…. she was lucky it was only water.

    Knock three times – no answer leave. Keep knocking – you are RUDE and get water in your face.

    What did the reporter expect? The mother was wrong for leaving the child in the car but the reporter was wrong to stand and there and knock knowing no one is going to want to talk to her.

    My bet is the reporter stood in the lawn for a long while and probably knocked NUMEROUS times irritating the people inside. It is called trespassing.

      This woman should never have left her child unattended in a closed car, especially during the current heat wave. She is certainly guilty of serious neglect and endangerment of a child. She deserves whatever punishment the law provides. The witnesses were right to notify the police and the police were right to respond as they did. However, the reporter does NOT have a right to invade private property and the privacy of a home just to use a family crisis to sell TV advertising. There’s too much of that kind of thing going on. The homeowner had the right to ask this aggressive TV reporter to leave, in this case, non-verbally. The public does not have a right to see an uninvited TV reporter conduct an unwelcome interview on a private doorstep. The reporter can cover the public trial, if there is one, or report on the actions taken by public servants in the case, but invading private property is uncalled for.
