MSNBC Analyst: I‘m ’Hurt’ All Those Women Voted for Santorum

During MSNBC’s primary coverage on Tuesday night, one analyst made her feelings on Rick Santorum very clear. In fact, she admitted that exit polls showing working Republican women had voted in droves for Santorum “hurt” her.

“This woman vote really hurts me,” Karen Finney said. “I got to say. You heard me say that.”

Host Lawrence O’Donnell then noted 49 percent of working Republican women had voted for Santorum.

“That’s why I say, it’s a little painful because I’m wondering if those women really heard the full message that, yes, there’s the economy, ” Finney added, “but if you’ve got to worry about your basic healthcare, how are you then going to be able to do what you need to do in terms of having a job, paying your rent, taking care of your kids?”

Here’s the clip via Newsbusters:

Noel Sheppard has a response for Finney:

The reality is that not everyone in America thinks health insurance is the most important thing in life. Maybe this is why millions of Americans choose not to buy it, and are disgusted by political leaders telling them they have to.

Such folks also might be displeased by government forcing religious institutions to cover women’s healthcare medications even if it goes against their beliefs.

UPDATE:

While MSNBC only introduces Finney as a “political analyst,” a quick look at her bio reveals she’s a Democratic political all-star. She’s worked for the DNC, Hillary Clinton, and Elizabeth Edwards in the past. Currently, she serves on the board of NARAL pro-choice America, a large pro-abortion organization.

This working conservative woman is hurt by all the babies Ms. Finney and her people have no regrets about killing. It has NOTHING to do with womens health. Their talking points are laughable!

Well karen is hurt. Is she really hurt or is just so suprised to see that there are women in this country that don’t buy into the socialist democratic platform BS. America was founded with the bill of rights and the Constitution, the democrats have passed thier new constitution (the health bill) and are now trying to use it to replace what were the guiding principals in this country.

You are proving that the individual is mightier than any government or central planning. While Progressives may be hurt, I personally applaud you and stand with you in defending your choice to defend the freedom of the choices of others. You are seeing through the veiled tricks that the communists are using. Jbaer, you are so right – she thinks all women should be so uneducated as to not realize that women’s health is not under assault – we should just mindlessly agree with the narrative of the MSM.

Republican women know we are not under assault – there is no war on women – birth control is not expensive and everyone knows can even be obtained for free from clinics – we also know that most insurance policies cover birth control if medically necessary. If the liberal women fell for Fluke, than that is a testament to their stupidity. Sandra Fluke is a liar that fabricated the cost of birth control, the stress it causes on women in college not having it provided for free and more than likely made up or blown out of proportion most if not all of her little stories as well.

Republican women don’t rely on the government for handouts and don’t believe the government has the right to mandate a company provide a product for free or a religious institution to go against their doctrine – which was the real point.

Republican women don’t believe in Nanny States or a Nanny Government and aren’t fooled like liberal women who believing there is no cost if it is free – ladies, someone pays and ultimately in the end it is the tax payers. Also remember, companies do not pay taxes, they pass the cost onto you

LIBERALS cannot imagine any pain other than the one that they feel. For example, when an unborn baby’s skull is punctured and its brain sucked out – it silently screams in the womb as it dies. Then it is dismembered and tossed in the trash. This process makes LIBERALS extremely happy. However, I would argue that it is painful for the child.

Karen Finney, does it pain you realize that not all women love baby-killing as much as you and Obama do? Does it sting a little, understanding that not all women feel as dependent upon all-powerful government as you feel?

Well let me rub some salt in that wound… I am sick to death of the liberal pundits telling me that because my opinion doesn’t parallel their own, then I must be stupid, and angry, and a bigot. I work 40+ hours per week and have my healthcare paid by my employer as part of my benefit package, and I pay an additional amount to cover my family. This comment: “I’m wondering if those women really heard the full message that, yes, there’s the economy, but if you’ve got to worry about your basic healthcare, how are you then going to be able to do what you need to do in terms of having a job, paying your rent, taking care of your kids?” – has to be the stupidest thing I’ve heard come from the other side. If you are taking care of yourself and your family, and not sitting around allowing the govement to take care of you and your kids, you won’t be burdeoned with those issues as pointed out by KF. As far as I’m concerned, that is exactly what is wrong with the economy, something KF and her comrads are not really concerned about. So YES. I’m WHITE, and SOUTHERN, and CONSERVATIVE, and CHRISTIAN, and ANGRY, but not for the reasons that Democrats would have the rest of the country believe. A vasectomy cost about the same as a years worth of an oral contraceptive. I do them in the office a couple times a month for men with high deductibles.

Heart disease and diabetes are often genetic and not affected by lifestyle. The majority of the people I see that have a lifestyle related condition are either Hispanic or Black. I guess this makes you a racist.

If you are a smoker or alcoholic, you pay higher premiums to cover your poor choices. Try getting health or life insurance when telling the truth on the application. I have a patient right now that is fairly young and got Hep C from a tattoo. Since he has a history of alcoholism he was turned down for a liver transplant. He has been sent home to die. Since he is Hispanic I guess that again makes you a racist.

Should Viagra be covered? No, I don’t think so. To me it is a recreational drug. I do support the removal of ED medication ads from TV.

I’m with The American People. Further, educated women can actually see thru the lie on which Karen Finney’s pain is based on. Rick Santorum has made mistakes over the course of his political career but he acknowledges them. He then explains how he used those mistakes as lessons learned gaining knowledge and wisdom. This man is sincere and most of all truthful when he speaks. His words are not rehearsed or memorized from speeches or lectures from his past, it comes from heart, from his core, and that says a lot about the man.To see Rick’s respect for women, if that is truly in doubt, I would suggest looking at his family. Bravo for Santorum. I think truth be told the states who have already had their primaries would like a “do-over” – the relentless drum beat of the media and RINO machine of Romney that no way could Santorum be a contender cowed alot of people into voting for a “less evil” rather then who their heart said to support. But now even after Glenn with his monolog the other day about getting behind Romney – 2 more states speak and say WE DON’T WANT ROMNEY PERIOD!. Please those of you in coming primaries vote your heart, not what you think is expedient. And the machine could grind to a halt and we might just have a convention where the actual people’s choice becomes the nominee not the power brokers, insiders and behind the scenes manipulators.

They can see through the campaign to make this a women’s issue when it is a freedom issue and resent the fact that they are being treated like they are stupid. The whole way it was done is condescending to women. Setting up Ms. Fluke and the media and George Stepanopolis to later frame this as women’s rights and ignoring the real issue is not as clever as they thought it was. Then add making Rush part of it when he calls Ms. Fluke what she really is or what she was standing for if you believe her latest attempt to not make this about her. WOMEN GET IT!

I think what Karen Finney is really upset about is that most working Republican women didn’t fall for the Democrat Party created non-story that started with Snuffalupicous on January 7th, 2012 when he asked Romney a conspicuous, non-issue, contraception ban question. She’s upset because Republican women understand “Access” doesn’t mean “Free”.

Maybe she needs a little of that sharia law that the big O want’s to lay on women. If you want to know what a liberal is up to just look at what they are accusing others of. They read like a bad novel.

Yes the Women did hear the message. They want a guy up there with values. Who is actually suprised that America‘s SMART women would lean towards a guy that doesn’t cheat on his wife and doesn’t want to force them to kill their babies in the womb or after birth? How could anyone be suprised that Obama‘s Progressives didn’t get more women to kill children for them? WOW. MSNBC where societies cancer grows.

To use journalism in connection to anyone on MSNBC is a travesty to what used to be an honorable profession. probably used car salesmen and MSNBC would be more appropriate.
