MSNBC Analyst: Obama‘s Chasing ’Gay Money’ Because Wall Street Has Left Him

Did you know about a special category in political fund raising called “gay money?” Apparently this type of currency is in abundant supply and coveted by the Obama-Biden campaign.

And after learning about “gay money” on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” we wonder if this might be the real reason behind both the Biden declaration and push to change the president’s official stance on gay marriage before the upcoming election.

Monday on MSNBC, the network’s Chief White House Correspondent Chuck introduced the term (while Joe Scarborough lamented the press was letting Obama “get away” with being on both sides of the gay marriage issue):

“Gay money”? Seriously? Why would Obama-Biden need to specifically chase that specialized of a donor pool? First we must ask a different question brought up by Todd: Has the Obama-Biden campaign really lost the Wall Street money? It appears that the facts back up that statement. The Huffington Post has tracked Wall Street’s money move from Obama to Romney:

The abandonment of the president by the financial sector has, indeed, been remarkable in scope and speed. Some of the very companies whose employees cut checks for Obama in 2008 now seem fully devoted to funding his competitor in 2012.

HuffPo’s story continues:

In the fourth quarter of 2011, Romney raised $1.49 million from employees of those 68 companies while the president’s reelection campaign raised just $127,000 — an 11.7-to-1 ratio. It was the most lucrative quarter for Romney yet.

Perhaps there is something to this theory that Wall Street is leaving Camp Obama. Last week, Forbes reported that JP Morgan Chase head Jamie Dimon was at odds with the President.

So how real is the Obama “gay money” topic? A quick look at the FEC rolls shows some large donations from some pretty famous gay Americans, including TV Host and Financial Expert Suze Orman. Check out Ms. Orman’s recent donations (all of it to DEMS):

  • 2008: $28,500
  • 2010: $25,000
  • 2011: $30,500

All that said, the Biden’s surprise declaration of his support for gay marriage from Sunday’s “Meet The Press” is curious. Of course the veep’s handlers and the Obama administration went into full spin mode after. In fact, the scrambling provided for some spirited moments from Jay Carney during yesterday’s White House press briefing. Currently, the explanation ranges from the old political “Trial Balloon” to “just Joe being Joe”

But thanks to Chuck Todd, there’s also another possibility: Could this have been the Obama campaign extending an olive branch to the gay community — and its “gay money?”

    I can‘t believe I’m saying this but for once in my life I’m starting to think Iran has it right when it comes to this issue. When did we become a nation that idolized disgusting and deviant behavior? People are thought of as cool if they smoke weed but not cigarettes. Being out of work was considered the “in” thing. Marxist behavior was being praised and the constitutions crapped on. Enough is enough and it’s about time we started to shame these pieces of filth. Get back in the closet and stay there. I’ll believe that gays are the same as “normal” people when two (either two men or two women) can “mate” and create a child. Otherwise it’s just disgusting and foul behavior and should not be tolerated nor condoned.

    This administration is going to do whatever it takes to hold onto the white house, and I mean anything and everything! I used to snicker when I read some of these articles! But, I’ll tell you now this man and his minions scare the hell out of me. The press will never recover! We will be fighting in the streets by the end of June and the current administration will be the ones that incite the riots whit no intentions of trying to stop them! The press will not be able to report on the events taking place and a large part of America will be blindsided by what will be called marshal law. The current administration will also be helped by several foreign entities! If we make it to the fourth of July, celebrate your hearts out, it will be the last celebration of and for freedom!

      So the corrupt bankers who happily took $ billions from the federal government because of their miss management and found creative ways to still take their undeserved $ million bonuses now use the bailout money to fund the individual who wants to lower their taxes. So Obama was fine when they needed the federal money but not fine when he wants them to participate in funding the deficit. Yep that’s our citizenship minded bankers.

    This is so stupid. Either BO is for or against gay marriage. I wish the press would harper on him to just say it one way or another….

    And I would think the “gay community” would find it insulting calling it “gay money”…………….

    The Homosexual community? I don’t feel sorry for them. And why should I? They‘ve yet to realize that most don’t care to know about their lifestyle, that if you simply don’t tell everyone, nobody cares what you do behind closed doors that doesn’t concern them.

    And then they refuse to realize that they are a means to an end, in the political arena. They think Democrats care about them more. The reality is, Democrats don’t give a damn about their community, but plead that they do vote for them because they treat Blacks, Latinos and generally poor communities much the same way. And they do, like fools. After a while, you’d think they could see through the worn out smock the Liberals keep pulling over their collective heads. But apparently, they like not being able to relate to reality of the situation. that’s why nothing ever changes for them and their struggle continues. Put on blinders and continue to ask to be fed, as the Liberals lead you to slaughter. Yeah, that’s the ticket to personal salvation. Good luck with that.

      Democratic orthodoxy is that vote base is made up of a a coalition of special interest groups who mindlessly follow their groups leadership,, blacks, gays, Latinos, women rights etc. if you hear these Democratic political operatives talk privately together you discover they don’t care a hoot about any members of these groups just pander to them for the votes.

    And Biden… BIDEN??? I thought he was a good Catholic boy, and yet he advocates for
    gay marriages, unions, and what-not?

    Since the gay people I’ve known in my life are 9 to 5 drones like me, it seems this “gay money” pool might be rather limited.

    The “Gay Money” givers should look consider if they want to live in a global caliphate. Because re-electing Obama will bring us closer to that end. In a caliphate “Gay Money” doesn’t exist because “Gays” don’t exist. They are done away with, as in recycled into the earth.

      Yes we know this but they don’t.Well correction those comfortable with being gay and who know history are aware of it.Then agian these aren’t the ones that will be taken out and shot either.What most of you can’t understand is that many of the male gays who contribute to him secretly hate women.They blame women for all the worlds ills.Having a caliphate to keep those pesky worthless women in line is right up there alley.Its the hidden money from the hidden sources, especially in the gay community, that everyone, including other gays, need to watch.Please don’t get me wrong not all or even a majority of male gays hate women.Those that do however seem to be very influential and possess more money that you would imagine.The muslims have more of this type of gay as converts than they imagine.Since its known that mussies have no problem with doing the tango with a male it shouldn’t surprise anyone.

      I believe you are right.I worry about the women hating male gays though.They may be a minority even in the gay community yet they have money and power that they shouldn’t.Its been proved time and time again they would vote for the caliphate if only it would keep those pesky women in line.
