MSNBC Guest: Romney Wants to be President of ‘Caucasia-Stan’

Now that the general election for the Presidency is officially underway, the time for polite distance between Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican Nominee Mitt Romney has ended entirely. And given that the President’s followers appear to have marching orders to cast race-based aspersions on as much criticism of him as possible, that naturally means that Mitt Romney’s first web ad (embedded below) was going to be the first target:

Now, some of you may be confused – the ad doesn’t say anything about race, and actually is largely positive. So what’s the problem? Well, according to MSNBC contributor Karen Hunter, the problem is that the ad doesn’t have any minorities in it. And because Hunter is scrupulously not racist, she apparently couldn’t stand to vote for a man of a different race (IE Romney) unless he stands near people who look like her:

The ad includes a line from Romney to the effect of, “This time we’ll get it right.” Or, as Hunter mockingly put it, “Did he say, ‘This time we’ll get it white’?”

Continuing on in this vein, Hunter accused Romney of trying to run to be President of a country without anybody who isn’t white. “Maybe he’s not running for the presidency of the United States, maybe he’s running for the presidency of ‘Caucasia-stan’ or some place that doesn’t have anyone of color in it,” Hunter sneered.

When Hunter fellow MSNBC contributor Joe Watkins, also African American, suggested that the really important part of the ad was the message, not the color of the faces in it, Hunter couldn’t contain her incredulity.

“I’ve always been looking for that person behind him,” Hunter said, referring to the crowds that usually stand behind candidates while they give speeches, “and I don’t see a whole lot of you around him, Joe Watkins.”

Evidently, Hunter missed the woman in the back row behind Romney here:

      I agree with you laken, just think if someone from fox or a conservative radio station would have said that they are not voting for Obama because they do not see many people of their color with him.       Soy I can not find the source for you percentage so I will have to trust you but anyway the only people I know who want drugs legal do them, I don’t and never have, I have seen the damage first hand that marijauna, meth and cocaine has done to friends so no argument for legalization will ever sway me, that is just the way I feel. Some stats I did find showed that only 12% state and federal inmates were there formarijuana and has, total drug convictions, 1.2 million in the state prison systems and 170,00 in federal facilities. We can surmise that the federal system contains the worst offenders, trafficers etc. I don’t have any compassion who would get people addicted to a substance for their own gain even tobacco or alchohol. People can decide to drink and smoke because they are legal and the free market will provide suppliers, if you think that potheads should be treated the same then the laws would need to be changed. I am not going to be an advocate for stoners though, I think we should lock the border up tight and that would be a big dent in supplies, also I do not think that making drugs legal will help people in central america, they will still be under the control of corrupt marxist regimes and live in third world hell, the whole argument about freedoms to do drugs seems antithetical to the american dream and vision of the founders for a moral and prosperous nation.

      That’s because other country practice corperal punishment, I’m all ending the warehousing prison system. I say convert all lifers to death sentences get all term prisoners out roll in cans of nerve gas and kill off all the murders and rapist that have life sentences. And then make it a capital offense for those in prison for terms to commit crimes. If rehabilitation is the objective then hold prisoners to the standard require to show rehabilitation. Then implement a corperal punishment program for lesser offenses public canings,whipping,maybe bring back the stockades of the old days. Make criminals lesser role models by making public examples of them. In 20 years the country would turn around it’s justice system.

      Things werent that much better for the blacks after the civil war. The whites in the south no longer thought of the blacks as valuables – they became the scapegoats for all their poverty and opression. 100 years later there was still racism, riots, and beatings (no equality). I dont know what more proof someone needs to say the civil war did not truely make things better for the blacks

      What you are missing is the fact that most of the black community is against gay marriage and the whole thing with the left will be the infighting. They will slit their own throats. The only reason all of these seemingly disjointed factions are together is to keep conservatives out of office. Kind of like the other article with the woman from MSNBC saying it is a woman’s right to choose to abort a baby based on gender.       MOST blacks have been at war with whites for decades now. They’re but 12% of the population yet commit 58% of all violent crime. Rapes, per the US Dept of Justice stats occur at an average of 37,500 per year with there verse being almost non-existent.

      We read about and view videos almost every day of black on white racial attacks and murders. Flash mobs are out-of-control throughout the country.

Stossel did a piece on the ‘poor’ blacks last night.       You won‘t see many Mexicans or blacks in Romney’s initial ads. He’s trying to secure his base, virtually none of which are minorities. I mean, let’s face it, how many Mexicans do you see at Tea Party events, let alone blacks? None right?

      Romney knows he has to get the fringe to get out and vote for him, that‘s why he’s courting the the birthers like Trump and why minorities are absent in his ads. Once he sees that he’s got you guys locked up and willing to vote for him, then you’ll start to see more brown people and black people in his ads. But before then he won’t take a chance on alienating his base.

      What does this article have to do with “birthers”? I could not have said it bette than someone else on this website, If 95% of blacks vote for Obama and the black population is 13% of the total U.S. population, then how many blacks are left to be a Romney rally?
