MSNBC ‘Indefinitely’ Suspends Analyst Halperin for Calling Obama a ‘D*ck’

Following this morning’s blip, TIME Magazine editor Mark Halperin was indefinitely suspended by MSNBC. Business Insider has more:
This morning on Morning Joe Mark Halperin, under the impression Morning Joe was on a 7 second delay, said he thought President Obama was a ‘d*ck’ in his press conference yesterday.
He quickly apologized once it became clear the remark had aired, [as] did the entire Morning Joe crew.
Apparently that was not enough. MSNBC has since suspended Halperin.
The network issued the following statement regarding the suspension:
Mark Halperin’s comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.
According to Media Bistro, Halperin responded, saying:
I completely agree with everything in MSNBC’s statement about my remark. I believe that the step they are taking in response is totally appropriate. Again, I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it.
Earlier this morning, Halperin sent the following Tweet:

This incompetent poser has NO INTENTION of negotiating anything… in his pea-brained socialist mind, he and his political party have done nothing wrong, and EVERYTHING WRONG with the economy is the fault of President Bush and his Republican friends in Congress. What a delusional, arrogant POS we have for a President !!! He’s no leader, and he certainly isn’t very smart.

Then again, he worked for MSNBC, so just how much he knew/knows, and when he knew it is certainly questionable.
