During a speaking engagement Monday, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry made some startling accusation concerning 9/11 and Americas War on Terror.  Perry, who anchors The Melissa Harris-Perry show on the weekends, remarked that 9/11 vaulted America into a “nationalist fervor” that was similar to “having post-traumatic stress disorder.”

The former neighbor to President Obama even used a racial joke to make her point, saying she knew the city was suffering from PTSD because “for about a year, there were African-American men walking around the city of New York with NYPD hats on. That can only be explained as a PTSD response.”

The Tulane Professor of Political Science continued, noting that 9/11 provided an opportunity for a new “racial enemy” in America, explaining:

“Americans in part identify who we are, and who deserves what, through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites.”

She noted that the terrorist attacks gave America a chance to shift its racial hate from “Reagan‘s ’welfare Queen’“ to another ”imagined“ racial enemy that was ”somehow Muslim, or Arab, or Sikh, or something else.”  This gives Americans an ability to “stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security,” which Harris-Perry notes is a repeating part of American “history.”

Harris-Perry was speaking to the Take Back The American Dream Conference in Washington, D.C. on Monday:

Lawyers for Ron Paul filed a lawsuit last week that will undoubtedely unbind all delegates at the national convention, but the biggest thing coming out of this lawsuit is going to be the exposure of RNC election fraud that runs deep in the GOP. We Republicans are told over and over again by Fox News and other outlets that the Democrats do voter fraud as a way of life. Little did we know that the RNC is the biggest perpetrator of election fraud within their own party. There will be another suit filed against the RNC under RICO statutes and we will see the prosecution of many of these establishment hacks. It amazes me that people turn a blind eye to this story, as though they ar OK with the RNC and GOP leaders to committ federal felonies. What has happened to all the Republicans? I have been a Republican for 36 years and I am ashamed of the party right now for their silence on these subversive acts. I hope that people will continue to wake up to the realities of what is going on and quit letting the establishment guide them around by their nose.

      Oh no! The Blaze is trying to make Melissa Harris-Perry another Scary Black Person? Well it figures, she is black after all, and educated, attractive and well spoken which makes it even worse. Can’t do the normal “look how stupid she is” number on her.

      But let’s take a single bullet point from the above, for those of you who didn’t listen to the video:

      “The Patriot Act was not an act of a Republican president acting alone. The Patriot Act was a bipartisan decision by both parties. It was not bought and paid for by corporations; it was bought and paid for by our fear.”

      Many here know that the so called Patriot Act, passed by both Republicans and Democrats, allows the government to spy on you and monitor your communications without probable cause, in violation many believe, of the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution. Nuh-uh, sorry, it doesn’t mean just Muslims. It could be you. The Patriot Act allow the Executive Branch to decide who to spy on.

      So she speaks out against the passage of that legislation, and says it was passed in a moment of national fear. So, that didn’t happen? And you’re happy the government can spy on you and read whatever you communicate without a judge agreeing the government has probable cause to suspect you of a crime? You agree with that?

      Of course you don’t, except when a scary black person says that’s wrong. Then you suddenly see how wonderful that is. See how that works?

      THE_JERK, You need to educate yourself with real history and understanding what Islam teaches. Anyone who is not Muslim is the enemy of Islam, no one has to do anything to “make” them their enemy, they are their enemy until they convert to Islam. Islam teaches that the whole world is to come under Islamic rule and by any method necessary. While there were atrocities committed by both sides, if it had not been for the crusades Islam would have controlled the world long ago. They had already overrun Spain before they were stopped.

      If only some of the educated amongst the minorities who think like Melissa Harris-Perry could break away from their racial thinking that came with their upbringing, they might do wonders to save their race. Instead, she spouts nonsense such as her belief that we are who we are because of our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites. Sadly, I’m afraid, many of the African-Americans have similar beliefs.
      Yes, a majority of Americans now feel their enemy comes from terrorist camps in Afghanistan and surrounding areas, but I assure MHP that we are not thinking of their color or race. Further, when I was born, the enemy was Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo. Four years later and for the next 45 years, that enemy became Russia. Yet, for most of those 50 years, way too many of Melissa’s ancestors were so paranoid they agonized obsessively, erroneously thinking we were prejudiced against them and that the were the enemy. Believe me, that was not the case, except possibly in a half dozen states of the deep south, a problem which has long since been addressed. The black community is not advancing because of the black community.

      you‘re right but there’s really nothing to see here……she is just another America-hating, angry, black racist who have come front and center since the election of the Kenyan as POTUS. Not surprising at all that she was a neighbor of Obama in Chitown. I wonder if she and Mooochelle were “buds”?

      The Title of Professor doesn’t carry much weight in present times. Even Harvard supports affirmative action policies. Any loser can get a degree.

      Just scream oppressed and…. Abracadabra…Prest-O…Change-O… You’re a professor. The problem is they think they‘re some kind of expert when in reality they don’t posses enough intelligence to pour piss out of a boot.

      Exactly, professor carries about as much weight anymore as the title reverend. It seems like those title in “the black community” actually stand for for Grand Wizard.
