MSNBC Host Calls 52% of MN Voters Ignorant (Because They‘re ’White’ & Elected Michele Bachmann?)

This week’s target on the MSNBC Conservative Character Assassination Wheel, Michele Bachmann, her staff, and the “ignorant voters” who elected her.

As the rest of the world was watching the updates on Japan while hoping and praying for good news about the terrible tragedy facing our friends across the Pacific, MSNBC‘s Lawrence O’Donnell was busy “staying on message” and attacking Michele Bachmann while insulting the people who voted for her.

Politicians are aware that they will be targets.  When you file to put your name on a ballot you accept that those who are not supporting you might be vocal about their personal choice.  That’s life.  But it seems a tad strange to see this media personality expanding his attack beyond the Congresswoman and her staff to the people who actually voted and elected her.

Yes, the Congresswoman from Minnesota made a mistake last weekend while speaking in New Hampshire, but candidates make mistakes on the campaign (announced or unannounced) trail.  Witness one such campaign gaffe.

57 States?  He was tired, move on.

And sometimes those same candidates get elected and still misspeak:

20 Centuries ago?

While embarrassing, a gaffe or two (or in VP Biden’s case, a bucket full of them) just happens to be part of reality of being human and working in a field where your every move is scrutinized and posted on YouTube.

Back to Michele Bachmann and the interminable attacks launched against her by the obviously slanted and threatened media on the Left. Lawrence O‘Donnell has decided that the voters in Minnesota’s 6th District must be ignorant if they elected someone with different policies and priorities than his.

First O‘Donnell wonders if this ignorance is because Bachmann’s supporters are white.  (I’m not kidding.)

“What makes those voters so ignorant? Well, for starters, they are whiter than the average district. 92 percent white in fact.”

This odd first question is sort of debunked as O’Donnell did find a Missouri Congresswoman (Jo Ann Emerson, also a Republican) with a similar percentage of white people in her district, but he does not have a record of ‘imbecilic comments’ from Ms. Emerson.  So, after playing the race card, O’Donnell puts it back in the deck, as if that can be done.

O’Donnell and his channel-mate Chris Matthews have both voiced their lack of appreciation for Michele Bachmann, and that certainly is the right of any new commentator, but attacking the people who exercised their right to vote smacks of the same tactics used by school yard bullies.

Ignorant Liberals like Lawrence loon O’Donnell, Chris “tingle up his leg” Mathews, Ed “the angry redhead” Schultz and Rachel Madcow are doing Obama no favors by bringing up gaffes or the birth certificate issue.
I guarantee Obama wishes they would shut the h3ll up because it brings up everything Obama has been trying to bury and keep out of the spotlight.

Hey Lawrence….in what grade do they teach how many States there are?
Ohh…what about when Oblamer said 10,000 people were killid in a tornadoe in Kansas.

The reason these dolts do not know about Obamas MANY gaffes is because the lame stream media like PMSNBC covers them up.

PMSNBC would do themselves a favor if they would fire their starting line up…they are a total embarrassment to them and this Country!!!!

President Obama is many awful things, but unintelligent is not one of them. He clearly misspoke in those comments. King Barry meant to say “48 states” of the continental U.S. and “two centuries” rather than twenty. If you think about it for a moment and are honest with yourself, you’ll recognize them as tongue slips. So what? It happens.

Michele Bachmann, on the other hand, really DID believe that the battles of Concord and Lexington took place in New Hampshire. She did NOT merely misspeak. Someone who is competing with Sarah Palin to be “queen” of the Tea Party and championing the principles of the American Revolution should have a better grasp on high school-level American history.

The votes were allowed and Franken won by a couple hundred votes or so. After the election it was discovered that all the mysteriously found votes were actually cast by felons (who were by law unable to vote). Yet Al Franken still retains his seat. What do you want to bet if Franken were a republican he would be thrown out for that.

All he’s doing is cherry picking the facts an ignoring the ones that don’t agree with his idea. For example:

Wouldn’t you like to live in a place where there’s no such thing as government. Where money doesn’t matter and everything is possible. There’s no need for health care b/c you’ll never get sick and can not die. You can say and do whatever you want and you’re never held accountable for your actions. No house payment, car payment, and best of all, NO TAXES.

Sounds great, right? But all I have done is cherry picked the facts. Where is this place I speak of you ask? It’s hell. That’s right, hell. In hell there’s no government, health care, taxes, you can’t die, everything is possible just not in a good way, and no need to worry about sin, you’re already in hell. By ignoring some facts, accepting others, through a little spin in for fun and BOOM, you can even make hell sound like paradise. Fools only see what is in front of them, while a wise person sees what’s around him. O’Donnell is a fool, and a smug one to boot.

With 92% in her district being white it’s a good chance she was running against another white person. So larry thinks the people of MN would of been less ignorant if they wrote in a hispanic or african american or asian candidate. Larry sure is a wise man.

HELP!! I am a conservative living in MN. I agree that there are many people in MN who never take off their rose-colored classes. People who elect Frankens, Venturas, and our “deer in the headlights” governor, Mark Dayton. What is a conservative, America-loving person to do except move, and I won‘t because Minnesota is the most beautiful state in the country despite it’s residents..
