MSNBC Host Refuses to Read Own ‘Facts’ & Name ‘Black Separatists’ as Hate Group

The video is almost too incredible to believe it actually exists. It does.
During a segment on his show “MSNBC Live” Monday, host Cenk Uygur decided to go on a tirade against New York Congressman Peter King for his hearings on radical Islam. During the segment, Uygur wanted to “introduce some real facts here,” and pulled up a chart showing the top hate groups in the country. Before reading it told his audience they were all “on the extreme right.” He quickly listed the top two groups, but when he got to the third one, his jaw audibly hit the floor. I’ll let Mediaite’s Frances Martel take over from here:
“Topping the list,” he began, “[are] the Ku Klux Klan with 221 groups. They are followed with Neo-Nazi groups with 170 groups, and”– at this point Uygur stops for a beat, before ending the list with “that doesn’t make any sense.” What doesn’t make any sense? That the third largest hate group contingent in America are black separatist groups. Not exactly the first type of political group conjured up by the phrase “right-wing,” unless Uygur was willing to argue that the social conservatism often found in black separatist groups somehow made them right-wing or some other similarly stretched-out argument. Of course, the socially conservative black separatist groups on the SPLC’s list mostly appear to be chapters of the Nation of Islam, and slamming them would not exactly strengthen Uygur’s argument that focusing on Islamic groups is a waste. [Emphasis added]
Yes, you read that right, but let it sink in for a second. Uygur tried to claim that all the rising hate groups were on the right, and when presented with facts from his own chart that said otherwise, refused to read those facts. And the kicker, as Martel points out, is that that the “black separatist groups” are mainly comprised of Nation of Islam chapters. Wow. And yet Uygur still thinks King’s hearings are a “waste of time.”
You can watch the mind-blowing segment below:

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 8:35amSomeone is in a lot of trouble for putting that list up on the screen for everyone to see. It shows just how fair and unbiased this network is. See something in writing that you disagree with even though it is from an organization that you are using as the authority for a point you are trying to make and the answer is to totally ignore that one fact. Not only do they try to mislead us but they do a lousy job while trying to do it. I guess they think they don’t have to be careful, the sheep will follow no matter what they say.

Obama Asks Terrorism Help — from Muslim Brotherhood Spinoff
By Ben Johnson, FloydReports.com
——————————————————————————–
As more sober minds consider ways to keep the Middle East from falling into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, Barack Obama is “fighting terrorism” by reaching out to the leader of one of the Brotherhood’s American creations. In the process, a White House official revealed that radical Muslims frequently advise the White House office headed by the president’s top adviser and alter ego, Valerie Jarrett.
Preemptive Groveling
Flush with instances of American Muslims supporting Islamic jihad, Rep. Peter King is set to launch his investigation into the radicalization of U.S. mosques, imams, and the faithful they serve later this week. Barack Obama, ever keen to reach out to the Muslim community, decided to get ahead of this by sending a deputy to plead with the extremists for cooperation. On Sunday, Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough spoke to a Sterling, Virginia, mosque some believe is a model of moderate Islam: the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS), led by imam Mohamed Magid. Indeed, McDonough began by thanking Magid by name.
Although the Sudanese-born imam presents himself as an ecumenical, anti-terrorism leader active in “interfaith” outreach, his current associations — and those of others at his mosque — present a different picture….

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 7:58amWell, if the story doesn’t fit, simply change the facts!
Alot like the “science” of evolution, today’s mainstream press has a conclusion in mind BEFORE any investigation is done. Bending the facts to fit “the story” is all too commomplace. This is what occurs when the elitists cannot trust the proletariat to arrive at their forgone conclusions.
I prefer the facts to be recvealed, without bias, and allow for logical conclusions to be arrived at. Oh, but that is silly, though, because liberalism, in all its maifold forms, is neither formulated nor sustained through logic. On the contrary, it is an ideology based on emotion. … You feelin me??

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 8:23amWhy is NeoNazi’s considered right wing? Everything I have read about Nazi’s puts them right into the leftists columng….I found this comment on daily pundit that sums it up better than I can…by JCoke
http://dailypundit.com/?p=2149 …
I’ve been thinking about this a lot. See, Nazi’s have been heaped on the right side of the political spectrum, as a sort of counter-weight to communism. Thing is, that really doesn’t stand up to a serious analysis. The idea that the Nazi’s were right wing seems to boil down to the idea that racism (and nationalism) is a unique and defining trait of the right. But this is transparently false; Mecha, the Hispanic-power group, is avowedly leftist, racist, and nationalist. The Black Panthers and other black supremacists were leftist. There are any number of examples of groups and people on the left who are racist. In any case, I don’t accept that premise.
Without the racist=right wing idea to pin the Nazis, it becomes clear that the fascist movement is actually a faction of the left. Mussolini, the father of fascism, was a socialist. He split from the socialist to join a more extreme left-wing group which became the Fascist party. The word Nazi actually stands for, get this, the National Socialist German Workers Party. That’s two leftist red flags in one name. Their economic policy wasn’t anything CATO would approve of. One of their policy initiatives was to create a fund that would provide cars to everyone who decided to contribute. (The name of the car? The People’s Car, or, in German, Volkswagen. It was actually the VW Beetle. All those hippies were driving Hitlermobiles. Nice.) Basically, from where I’m sitting, fascism was a socialist sub-group that figured out how to tap into nationalism and racism. In the political climate of Europe (where the conservatives are just socialists who go to church) fascism had a broad appeal. Perhaps on the European left-right continuum, the placement of the Nazi’s on the right would then be appropriate. But I’m not really seeing how they’d fit on the right in America’s political continuum. They weren’t really hard-core Christian (more of a neo-pagan Christianity-when-in-public bunch), they certainly weren’t into the free market, and racism isn’t necessarily a right wing trait.
I, of course, am biased. I would love to be able to put Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot in the same (diametrically opposed to me) political category. It seems to me that the argument has a fair amount of weight. I mean, what American right-winger would form or join a party called the National Socialist German Worker’s Party?

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 9:12amAlso, the KKK was the military wing of the Democratic Party. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1924_Democratic_National_Convention So it would seem to me that more groups are Leftists than right wing groups.

The fact is the Southern Poverty Law Center is a left leaning group which is why Cenk thought the list would fall into his way of thinking – too bad he doesn’t actually read his facts before putting them on the air. I would point out that the list is ‘hate’ groups – when was the last time the KKK committed a terroristic act? They may spew vile but they aren’t strapping bombs to their chests or trying to blow up New York. Since King is looking at a rise in home grown terrorism then the obvious, although not PC, choice is looking at the Muslim community. When you have CAIR advocating for Muslims not to talk to the FBI then it begs the questions that King is raising.

Must be that because they are white and they are idiots it makes them right wing conservatives… what trash reporting aimed at discrediting the real conservative movenment that deals with real issues that are anything but race related such as a balanced budget and a constitutionally bound government.

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 2:31pmI look at this and others stories in the media as smoke screens thrown up to keep people from looking at the real issues at hand, getting cuts to the budget, a limit on spending, and the removal or reversal of the health care con. The real issue at hand is to eliminate the appropriations that were hidden in the health care bill. To assume that the legislators didn’t know about this when they voted for the bill calls for a gullibility of epic proportions. I sincerely hope that Sean, Glenn, and Rush, (our only real voices in the media), don’t fall for the lefts attempted sidetracking of these vital issues. Let’s face facts, the American people were duped out of their children’s money by the socialist politicians and Obama by trickery included in the bill. Our three spokesmen need to be shouting from the roof tops how the Obama administration has snookered our citizens. Don’t address any of the smoke screen issues and pay attention to the slight of hand going on!

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 2:33pmI guess you remember Timonthy McViegh. Here’s a list from The Hill:
July 2008: A gunman agitated at how “liberals” are “destroying America” kills two and wounds four at a Unitarian church.
October 2008: Two neo-Nazis are arrested in Tennessee for a plot to murder Barack Obama and dozens of other African-Americans.
December 2008: A father-son team involved in the “patriot” movement try to extort a bank with a homemade bomb; they end up killing two police officers.
January 2009: A white supremacist in Brockton, Mass., rapes a black woman, kills her sister and a homeless man, and is captured while en route to a Jewish community center.
April 2009: A white supremacist and gun nut kills three Pittsburgh cops because he believed conspiracy theories about President Obama taking away his guns. He had been posting Glenn Beck videos on a neo-Nazi website.
May 2009: Another right-wing crazy in Okaloosa County, Fla., also fearing his guns would be confiscated, kills two cops before being shot dead.
June 2009: A Holocaust denier and right-wing tax protester kills a security guard at the Holocaust Museum.
July 2009: A woman takes a break from posting Glenn Beck videos on her MySpace page to case an Air National Guard Base in Long Island. Upon her arrest, authorities find an assault rifle, a shotgun and 500 rounds of ammo in her car.
August 2009: A man in Collier Township, just south of Pittsburgh, walks into a women’s aerobics class and kills three women. His diary states, “Good luck to Obama! He will be successful. The liberal media LOVES him. Amerika has chosen The Black Man. Good!”

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 6:19pm@ JZS…………Neo -Nazism consists of post-World War II social or political movements seeking to revive Nazism or some variant thereof.[1][2][3][4] The term neo-Nazism can also refer to the ideology of those movements.[5][6]. Since WWII Nazis were national socialists I seem to be at a loss as to how they are right wingers. They are known in English as the Nazi Party (from the German Nazi, abbreviated from the pronunciation of Nationalsozialist[5]), was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers’ Party (DAP) prior to a change of name in 1920.
The party’s last leader, Adolf Hitler, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. Hitler rapidly established a totalitarian regime[6][7][8][9] known as the Third Reich.
Nazi ideology stressed the failures of laissez-faire capitalism, communism, economic liberalism, and democracy; supported the “racial purity of the German people” and that of other Northwestern Europeans; and claimed itself as the protector of Germany from Jewish influence and corruption. The Nazis persecuted those they perceived as either race enemies or Lebensunwertes Leben, that is “life unworthy of living”. This included Jews, Slavs, Roma, and so-called “Mischlinge” along with Communists, homosexuals, the mentally and physically disabled, and others. The persecution reached its climax when the party and the German state which it controlled organized the systematic murder of approximately six million Jews and six million other people from the other targeted groups, in what has become known as the Holocaust. Hitler’s desire to build a German empire through expansionist policies led to the outbreak of World War II in Europe.
If you see they may stand for racial purity but they also stand opposed to capitalism and democracy by representation, so that is what “right” wing people are defined by. So I guess I need an explanation as to how GHOST was wrong!!!!!!!!! I think you are confused by the racial purity component of those groups, but unless they are advocating national socialism they cannot be defined in the full sense of the word Neo-Nazis. When they support the swastika they are advocating white supremacy not national socialism so the term ascribed to them is more of a slang than an accurate use of the term, probably due to their presenting of the Nazi symbols. In this regard they are not right or left wing just simply nuts and racist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Ghost was completely accurate in what he stated historically and in the full definition of the word …. Sorry GHOST not to speak for you but just to support what you said

I can give one really good reason. Because the top 2 are home grown problems and the Muslim problem is imported. Protect your self from external threats first then worry about the internal.
You could make all three happier with one fell swoop though. Buy them half a third world country with allot of land, give them a nice size bank roll and recognize them as a new country. There all 3 groups happier.
You do not like the constitution? Fine! Then do not let the door hit you in the rump on the way out :D

Posted on March 10, 2011 at 12:18amTo jzs, what is laughable is that we’ve allowed this farce to go on so long that we have socialists on left and right? Where are all of us who don’t want socialism in any of its forms? non existent? I feel like I’m existing quite nicely thank you. We allowed this lie to continue because noone ever thought it mattered. The soviet union had died china was moving to a more capitalist way of thinking, to us no sane person could deny communism’s and socialisms failures, we‘d put down the nazi’s long ago we had put down the fascists long ago. Who would have thought people were still working to implement these ideas or that they were so organized and zealotized.
So we ignored a moot left-right argument as unimportant. It is reluctantly apparent that it is important, now, one of the most important arguments we can make. To let all of us know that all of the evils, all of them in two hundred years are traceable to one and only one idealogy. Why that one ideology is considered on both one side and the opposite? Socialists and communists must reassure themselves that the evil is shared across arbitrary bounds. And that they are actually the lesser of these two evils.
They are not the lesser of two evils, they are just the same evils, with multiple names. Like two street gangs the names may be different, the colors, red shirt / brown shirt. But they are the same, their just fighting to see what color of shirt rules the streets. Nothing more. And it comes to us, as it always does, different people but the same job to once again make sure they don’t win, and this time hopefully end it for good. To stop the slow and relentless creeping tyranny of their many ‘ism’s, to finally have peace, real peace one not brokered by banks when the society is sufficiently in indentured servitude. Picture a world without any of their ‘isms socialism, fascism, communism or naziism. Thats a pretty world indeed.
