MSNBC Host to Meghan McCain: You Fit in With GOP Because You‘re ’Well Off, White, & Blond’

Meghan McCain, daughter of former Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), appeared on Monday‘s edition of MSNBC’s “Live with Thomas Roberts” to discuss GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s “I am who I am” remarks.
As is usually the case whenever she makes an appearance on MSNBC, McCain’s interview focused on the so-called “Republican tent,” with Roberts musing aloud [paraphrasing]: Gee, not a lot of African-Americans, members of the LGBT community, or women support Republicans. What’s up with that?
“Is this party tent big enough when we look at the latest polling numbers — the African American community, zero percent? The stance that Mitt Romney and the Republican party takes on women’s issues really does put an affront up to welcome women under the tent. Certainly, LGBT issues — that’s a big problem for the Republican Party,” Roberts said.
“How do they look at the narrative of what their core beliefs are and stand with those, but seem more welcoming to the bigger, larger American audience that we are today?” he asked.
Instead of asking the MSNBC host to clarify his comments (particularly his claim about women in the GOP) or, at the very least, cite his sources, McCain agreed that the GOP should be more “inclusive” and that the it should broaden its appeal.
“Megan, you know I love you, but as it comes down to being comfortable in the Republican party, isn’t it pretty easy for you to be comfortable in the Republican party – well off, white and blond,” Roberts asked.
“Ow,” she responded before launching into a pitch about how Romney has a good shot at victory based on his economic knowledge/experience.

The “zero percenters” don’t like conservatives for another reason; conservatives believe firmly that everyone should work. the “zero pecenters” don’t – so they simply are dependent of working class – which are mostly conservatives who pay taxes and consequently support the “zero percenters” who don’t work. In case you haven’t figured out who the “zero percenters” are, it‘s the blacks who make up the huge majority of those who won’t vote for any person but a black person. She has always percieved (correctly) that the Republican Party needed a youthful face lift, and an injection of modern relevance. Her mistake was believing that this youthful hip relevance was just a matter of turning the Republican Party even more liberal than it already is, and believing that she would lead this revolution.
Her disdain, and in some cases outright hatred for conservatism, and the Tea Party amplifies my point.
Instead of leading a revolution of young Republicans she has become a pathetic second string talking head on liberal news channels. She‘s used when they can’t find anyone else with credibility. She’s in a bad predicament having hitched her horse to the fading Rhino brand, and earning animosity with the growning conservative movement exemplified by the Tea Party.
She’s also disliked by liberals who just view her as “conservative light” I feel pity for her.

If things like this were said in reverse to “people of color” (as if whites have no color), there would be outrage.
