Posted on September 1, 2010 at 4:27amPoor old, nasty (soon unemployed) Ed.
In all seriousness I had pity on him and watched the tail end of his show this morning and the kind of false information he spews is dangerous. His tone reeks of nothing but hate. If I got all my news from this guy I would hate republicans too. The poor lambs who watch his show don’t understand how full of feces he is.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 4:27amAs usual Shultz is in over his head and is comparing apples and oranges. The 500K people at Beck’s rally were individuals and families from all over the nation who came together for a common cause and prior to that…didn’t know each other. Shultz‘s unions on the other hand are already ’together’ and experienced in rallies, protests and marches. Apples and oranges.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:11amEd Schultz has the viewership of a foul-mouthed, delusional test pattern. If everyone avoids watching him for free , with no inconvenience or effort, what makes him think that he could draw a crowd? See beck has hard working good people willing to help and fund him. Last time I looked he wasn’t receiving money from the government or leftist special interest groups and he pulled off 500k people.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 9:05amIf he has a rally, 12 people could show up and it would be “10s of thousands”.
If he has a rally, it would be “a true representation of the face of America” with mostly minorities and a few token whites.
If he has a rally, it would be covered from beginning to end by CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC with a total media blackout as the ‘voice off America is heard!’
If he has a rally, there will be not one thing spiritual, Godly etc…other than all new age and US hating chants.
If he has a rally, every Union will be there and EVERY BUS will be paid for to bring EVERY PERSON there because otherwise…they wouldn’t come on their own dime.
IF he has a rally, the rhetoric will all be hate based— hate towards conservatives, hate towards ‘teabaggers’ hate towards imagined oppression hate towards those evil selfish rich people etc etc.
IF HE HAS A RALLY— not one penny would be raised for charity. However, the organizers would walk home with fat pockets.
IF HE HAS A RALLY— they would leave the mall a trashed pig pen like after the inauguration, because ‘by their fruits you shall know them’ …..

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:27amEd, Do you really think you could draw a crowd like that? Beck didn’t need a budget but hey, go ahead & see if you can really draw a crowd like Glenn Beck did. … a polite crowd, didn’rt leave any trash, was non political. I would be amazed if your radio & TV fans would spend their own money to travel to DC& have to listen to you complain about the USA. People came Saturday, knowing what the event was about, but none of you listened. There were more people @ the National Mall than watch your show! Good luck! I’ll be watching!

Report Post »EZBurns
Posted on September 1, 2010 at 8:59amMish hun….
The buses were paid for by the people themselves. Unlike dems who have to pay for buses for their ‘Insta-mobs” EVER LAST BUS was a choice by an individual or a group.
My God, do you even see how out of touch with real people you all have become? Read the constitution— it’s all about INDIVIDUALS. Which is what this rally was about. Not CrowdsForHire, Flash Mobs or GroupsWillTravel.
Geez louise. If I was writing a parody of the leftist mindset disconnect, I couldn’t do it better than this!

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:05amWell, he IS right, if there were a republican president, and just like Beck, exploit reactionism from his own party to the fullest extent, raise an amazing amount of money, and wallah, you have a massive rally.
DGroundhog
Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:09amYeah….that’s TOTALLYBELIEVABLE.
Ed could only do it by inspiring hate. You could NOT get 500,000 Democrats out to reaffirm their faith in God.
If anything there would be a larger Dem counter protest of an event like that.
TotallyBelievableGuy
Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:20amUh. No.
Remember, a rally like that, in a hypothetical setting that we’ve set it in is completely circumstantial. Should we have a heavily isolationist, republican for a president, there would be a rally of over 500,000.
By the way, your assumption that all democrats are “godless” is idiotic and assumptuous, sees how i know MANY democrats that are devout christians, and i know many republicans who are atheists.
Not to mention the Gay rights marches that took place in D.C. last that had over 70,000 marchers. but I guess that‘s still puny compared to Glenn Beck’s rally.
flintandsteel
Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:24amIgnorance is showing – “wallah”???
Definition of WALLAH
: a person who is associated with a particular work or who performs a specific duty or service —usually used in combination
Origin of WALLAH
Hindi & Urdu -vālā one in charge, from Sanskrit pāla protector, from pālayati, pārayati he guards; akin to Sanskrit piparti he brings over, saves, Old English faran to go — more at fare
First Known Use: 1782

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:11amRepublican vs. Democrat….REALLY???? The difference is the speed. Same policies,,,JFK would be too extreme right these days.Reagan however, could pull it off.
DGroundhog
Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:50amThat isn’t what Ed is proposing though.
He isn‘t laying all these ’IF there was a certain type of opposition President’ and other preconditions. He said he could match the rally. He DID mention budget as one thing he would need in addition to his TV and radio program – but none of the other preconditions you mention.
I don’t doubt there are some very devout Democrats out there – but if a Dem leader tried to organize a faith reaffirming rally they would face an IMMEDIATE backlash WITHIN the party. God is simply NOT a rallying cry for the left. In fact – when God is mixed with politics they get downright shrill and angry.
…and it is ‘viola’ – not ‘wallah’.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 2:04amLet’s all pester Ed with challenges to pull it off!
They can‘t even get a good turnout to COUNTER Glenn’s rally – much less inspire their base to do anything where they can’t go out and actively hate on people.
Ed Shultz organizing 500,000+ to commit themselves to a renewal of faith and values? That ain’t gonna happen on the left even if Jesus himself returned and tried to organize it.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 1:59amIts funny that in the midst of his rant about being able to do the same thing Glenn did he slips in there, “if I had the funding.” Um, is it just me or is the fact that Glenn could get the funding from his audience part of the feat accomplished? So, Ed could get the people to come but not to contribute to it? Right! I’ll believe it when I see it.
