MSNBC Host: Why Isn‘t Tucker Carlson Calling for Sarah Palin’s Execution?

After Tucker Carlson admitted he thinks Michael Vick should have been “executed” for torturing animals, MSNBC’s stand-in for Ed Schultz, Cenk Uygur, claimed Wednesday (in a segment appropriately named “Psycho Talk”) that hunting for tasty animals in the Alaskan wilderness amounts to animal torture and wondered why Carlson wouldn’t also call for the execution of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin:

    I’m no liberal but I think we need to face the facts. Palin is a complete moron, and will drive us into the ground if we view her as a leader. Just my 2 cents, for which, I‘m sure I’ll be flamed. I think she is nice and I think she does well at what she is doing now, but I do think she is limited in her capability of actually running a country, or being anything but a fundraiser/speaker.

      KirkC18 you may well be correct about Sara Palin’s ability to be president but make sure what and who is helping you form your opinions. I will bet you that if the head doorman at the Plasa hotel was mentioned as a Republican presidential hopeful MSNBC would go into trash mode within 24 hours. They would leave no stone unturned to prove the guy was not qualified and would have a “national” pole to prove their point the next day. They have gone after every single person even mentioned for the last two years.

      I in no way said that Obama is better! I think she would be better than him but this just shows how unqualified he is. I personally dont think you are qualified unless you can run a business or are/were in the military. Both show you know how to organize a legitimate organization not something like ACORN. If someone would step up who knows business and how economics truly works (not what some of these keynsians) we would be far better off. Personally I wish Ron Paul was our president…

    Mr, Uyger. hunting for the purpose of having food is far different from torturing animals just to bet money and enjoy watching animals suffer.I would bet that Mr. Uyger eats meat himself. I would suggest he goes to a slaughter house and watch that procedure. At least hunting gives the animal a chance and is over quickly. Alaskans are raised to keep food on the table for their families by doing allot of hunting and fishing. Their meat is far safer to eat than what is sold at most groceries. And michelle obama would be happy to know that it is much leaner thus better for your heart and cholesterol. Hunting won”t make you rich but dog fighting can, and guess what? It’s illegal to fight dogs, and hunting isn’t. Sarah Palin did not break the law. Michael Vick did. I think Tucker was a little harsh about the punishment, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Sarah Palin. There is no comparison.

So there is a huge difference between killing a dog because it performs poorly in a fight and killing an animal for consumption.

    Taking an animal’s life to feed and sustain ourselves and our families is exactly how this earth was put together by God.
    Torturing an innocent animal because it was not servicing one’s immoral purpose or satisfaction is not even comparing apples and oranges. I cannot come up with an accurate analogy. I’m sure a Blazer can help…

      Okay, I’m not claiming she’s an idiot in the medical sense, but I do have a dictionary and it tells me that informally idiot means a foolish or senseless person, so yes, she qualifies. It’s not so much that she says dumb things as that she doesn’t say anything smart. So, as to the other politicians you mentioned – GW. Bush yes, the rest no, because they’ve all said more smart things than dumb things.

      People who think a constitutionally limited federal government is somehow “right wing extremism” may be wrong, but they’re not necessarily idiots. They probably fear that if we returned to the kind of limited government we once had, the country would be run not by the states and the people as intended, but by the business interests that would then be bigger than the government. They may think that pundits who talk about our biggest most powerful corporations in terms of freedom and entrepreneurial spirit aren’t being entirely honest. That it’s not logical to recognize that when a government gets too big it no longer represents the interests of the founders or the voters, but to pretend that the same thing can’t happen when businesses get too big. That this country was already run by big business once, at the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century, and that history buffs who conveniently leave that period out of their lessons are being disingenuous.

      Like I say, they may be wrong, but they’re not all idiots, and they may not even be wrong.

      Chet, competiton crushing monopolies is indeed not good for the citizens. But in all honesty the federal government and corporations have been in collusion no matter what party has been in control. Notice that most corporations donate the most to the party in control. But limited FEDERAL government is still needed. Federal power is too far removed from the people thus not as easily held accountable. The states have every right and responsibility to lay down the law. Federal government still has a constitutional roll in trade and commerce between states but It, without a doubt, has grown way too much outside of its consitutional boundries. If people feel entitled to some government program then by all means get your state to provide it. If it‘s fiscally irresponsible then it’s that states problem, not everybody elses. If it works out and everybody’s living in la la land, then more power too you. We have 50 states that should be 50 “labs” of gorvernance with in state and federal constitutions. People know what works and what doesn’t. With the big centralized federal government, we don’t have a choice. They’re messed up and we know it. Rebub‘s and dem’s.

      You make some good points. We could debate about how much government is too much, and how much is too little forever. The fact that you took the time to counter a reasonable argument with a reasonable argument shows that your earlier post which characteried people with opposing viewpoints as idiots clinging to irrational caricatures of their actual opinions was unworthy of you. And yeah, I do it too sometimes. I try not to write in anger or insult people I disagree with, but I do it sometimes, We all do.       To my mind, there is a substantial difference between taking an animal‘s life to provide for one’s family, and torturing an animal for purely selfish motives.
      Let it be known that I love dogs, and feel that they personify unconditional love.
      -As my schnauzer is taking up more and more space in my bed as we speak.

      The headline is misleading, he certainly was NOT calling for Sarah Palin to be executed. However, his comparison of Sara Palin to MIchael Vic is seriously flawed–hunting is nowhere near as brutal as sicking two dogs at each other and watching them fight to the death.

      God personifies unconditional love. Not the the creation that He made for mankinds pleasure and food.
      People like this and the crazy enviros are a fullfillment of Bible prophesy in that they worship the the creation instead of the Creator…….I feel sorry for those that place animals and nature above God and the creation that He made in His image, (mankind).

      That being said, Obama,Carlson and Uygur ALL made foolish statements.
      Wonder where Uygur thinks his food comes from? Wonder if he has ever seen a feedlot or big chicken farm? Wonder if he is a vegan? Does he consider himself an accomplice in the torture/murder of all the animals and plants he eats to survive?…..I doubt it!!

      Ethical hunting for food is the most humane way there is to procure food. But to realize that fact, you may have to go beyond the thought processes you learned in your progressive universities and what you see on TV from your downtown apartment couch.

      Where’s the difference in what Vick did to these poor dogs and what all the young, aspiring serial killers started out doing? What Vick did to all those dogs? That’s a level of disconnect from humanity most of us are incapable of. Yet he was able to do it. Over and over again. I‘m sure he won’t escalate. He was rehabilitated. He’s sorry.

      I was an avid hunter in my youth and killed a bunch of mamals. I ate them and I have no problem with harvesting animals for food. I do have a problem with “herding” to hunt in our current system. If we were primitive again and in need of game I would certainly alter my current opinion. Sara seemed to “herd” to get this kill. I don’t like that.

      I am still agast at the naive and clueless opinion of this idiot MSNBC guy. I forget his name and am not interested enought to flick back to get it. He is and will continue to be a clueless idiot. We cannot save him or the legion of other clueless illogical idiots called liberals. Lets just give up trying and continue to vote them away into oblivion to which they have so appropriately relegated themselves.
