MSNBC Ponders: Would a White President Get Interrupted During Speech?

MSNBC Panel Asks Would a White President be Heckled After Neil Munro Tussles with Obama

MSNBC jumped at the opportunity to pull the race card after The Daily Caller‘s Neil Munro and President Obama got into a heated exchange during the president’s White House speech on immigration earlier today.

“This is just so unprecedented and outrageous, that you have to ask the question, would the right-wing be doing this if we had a white president there?“ MSNBC guest and Democratic strategist Julian Epstein asked on ”Bashir Live.”

“Well, you go ahead and answer that question Julian,” host Martin Bashir replied.

So he did.

“I think it’s a vert important question because I think this is the first African-American president. We’ve never had a white president been told by the opposing party to shut up in the middle of a major address to the Congress. We’ve never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully. We‘ve never had this otherness afforded to any other president and I think the right wing has some explaining to do because to me it’s patently obvious,” he said.

Bashir was entirely on board with his guests’ assessment of the incident, apparently painting Munro as a racist who only interjected because the president is black.

“Well, Mitt Romney says nothing when a woman’s called a slut and a prostitute, so he’s hardly going to stand up and say anything to this heckler is he,” Bashir added.

      You know what MUTINY..I’m kind of tired of the “it shouldn’t have happened regardless of who is president” line. How much is a nation meant to tolerate from it’s supposed leader? Obama’s just told the nation that he will ignore congress, not sign an executive order and just go ahead and change immigration policy through his lackey Janet Incompetano in Homeland Security..the idiot that told us “the system worked” because a passenger wrestled a failed bomber on an aircraft to the floor..that’s the system working to Incompetano. How many insults does the country need to take from this narcissistic, neophyte, know-nothing wearing a president costume?
      He‘s just effectively said he’s going to add nearly a million and upwards new competitors for the jobs LEGAL Americans and residents have a difficult time already finding.
      An economy flatlinnig with an underemployment rate not seen since WWII, a smaller workforce since Obama darkened the oval office, hiring nearly at a standstill (69,000 jobs? Seriously?) and this fool in a president’s costume wants to add a few more million to the number of people trying to find work under these deplorable conditions..and you want him shown some respect no matter what? Are you effing serious?

      He‘s lucky he wasn’t booed and pelted with rotten fruit as he walked away from the dias. He doesn’t earn any respect he insults every American.

Example: O’reilly asks the President “Do you follow football?” and the next day O’reilly is a racist because the MSNBC anchors say he “meant” (always some secret code) that he couldn’t like anything but basketball. Hey, but what can be done about it anyway?       I think the biggest question is, does anyone still watch MSNBC?

      As for interrupting Obama because he isn’t white, I wonder what Julian Epstein thinks of people that burnt effigies of Bush in 2008? Apparently Mr. Epstein doesn’t believe in Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s belief of “Judge a man by the content of his character – not by the color of his skin.” Just because a report tries to interject a question does not make him racist. Now, had the reporter used a racial slur in addressing President Obama, that would be a different matter.

      Now I remember why I stopped watching MSNBC years ago, about the time they turned into the Mass Socialist Network for Broadcasting Crap.

      You do realize he is running for office right? My post was pointing out the similarities between the hate Obama and the GOP savior Romney.

      Mutiny – No one says Romney is our savior. There is only one Savior. He is better than Obama and I think it is best to wait to see if he is elected before you make statements about what his is or will do. You couldn’t know at this point.

      If Romney(based on his past) takes us to the same place as Obama what is the difference. If we arent going to look at pasts, then why is ok to look at Obama’s past? Hypocrites or just sheep?
