MSNBCs Martin Bashir, Guest, Psychoanalyzes Tea Party: Like Drug Addicts, Norway Killer

Just when you thought the bias couldn’t get any more egregious over at MSNBC, Martin Bashir topped himself yet again when he encouraged one of his recent guests to psychologically analyze Tea Party members.  And Stanton Peele, the psychologist and addiction “expert” being interviewed, certainly didn’t disappoint Bashir, delivering his rather patronizing “professional” opinion in a segment affectionately titled the “Mind of the Tea Party.”

The diagnosis? It’s pretty grim. Tea Party members are apparently suffering “psychosis.” What’s more, according to the good psychologist, they are also the equivalent of drug addicts seeking a euphoric high, who will stop at nothing to achieve that high, and who will lash out like Anders Breivik did in Norway if they fail to attain that high.  Peele follows up his grave prognostication with the assertion that what the Tea Party wants is unattainable, hence, they will (you guessed it) lash out like the killer did in Norway.

“It reminds us of addiction because addicts are seeking something that they can’t have,” Peele said. “They [Tea Party members] want a state of happiness or nirvana that can’t be achieved except through an artificial substance and reminds us of the Norway situation, when people are thwarted at obtaining something they can’t, have they often strike out and Norway is one kind of example to one kind of reaction to that kind of a frustration.”

Relishing the moment, Bashir then asked, “so you’re saying that they are delusional about the past and adamant about the future?”

“They are adamant about achieving something that’s unachievable, which reminds us of a couple of things. It reminds us of delusion and psychosis,” Peele stated rather self-assuredly.

      Or how they claimed Wall street and Republican cause the economic collapse

Show me ONE video where there was violence at a Tea Party rally that was actually started by a Tea Partier…there have been some that was started by liberals, but bet you can’t find one started by a Tea Partier.

Not only is Bashir a complete a$$, excuse me, a half a$$ at best, but the poor excuse for a real Psychologist in Stanton Peele, just compounds the idiocy of the brain-voided ones that make up the circus of MSNBC’s guests. It is utterly pathetic. Just when you think they can’t go any futher into the abyss, they seem to find another level. What this poor, pathetic fabrication for a news media station continues to abort more and more viewers, till the remaining few are die hard Obamaites.       You have no idea who we are, because you can‘t conceive what it’s like to live our lives. You assume most other people think like you. It’s a common trait, to be sure, but the reality is most people can tell basic right from wrong. That’s why we know most people have some measure of common sense, and the rest can be taught if they just open their minds.

      The Tea Party is changing the game. In fact, we’re the kind of individualists who recognize the game, see the moves, but we elevate the game. Instead of moving pieces on the board, we walk up and kick the table over, scattering the pieces across the floor. WE DON’T PLAY GAMES.

      1) the TEA party (AKA thinking American people) did NOT win a victory,
      2) the issue is not and never was raising taxes … (do the math!),
      3) it‘s about spending money we don’t have and could not have even if we literally took all of the income of every American.
      4) we are NOT longing for some “idyllic” past that “perhaps never existed”.
      5) we (I believe I speak for the conservatives in general on this matter) want the “rule of constitutional law” that these socio-communists are destroying.
      6) Mr. Bashir and Dr. Peele think you can tax your way into recovery … well go to Cuba and see how well that turned out.
      7) Only under a land ruled by law, and NOT by “law of man”, but law as prescribed by the highest law of the land, can our econmy thrive.

      The irony in all this, is this new “pravda” of alphabet media is so convinced they are speaking truth, when the truth is they are living entirely outside of reality. They thrive on lies and live in the shadows, mere shades of real men.

    This only tells me that these people have no idea what the Tea Party is all about. They are just clueless. We believe in smaller government, that the government should live within their means, that people should take responsibility for their own lives, and we believe in the Constitution, and that this country is going to he(double L) in a basket if we do not stand for something. If we don’t stand for something, we stand for nothing. Everyone who works for small business KNOWS that the more you tax small business the less jobs are created. We have had to lay off many employees because of this economy and those of us left, have had to take up all the slack. Would we like to hire more folks??? Sure, but hard to do when taxes are in question, business is threatened, regulations are coming at us from all sides…and then everytime they say “tax millionaires and billionaires” my taxes go up…We make less than $100,000 per yr…we have 2 children who make a lot less than that, and all of us had to pay more taxes this year…Only Fed. we paid $23,000 in fed taxes, not to mention all the rest of it…we aren’t rich..we are just working SR’S who help our kids and grandkids and try to SAVE for retirement…YEAH RIGHT…the government takes that away from us…so they want US dependent on them in order to buy our VOTE…NEVER…I’ll die first.

    We have seen the end of “civility”.
    The left has no more other bullets in the gun.
    From here on they will rely upon smear and indoctrination of the young to their “labeling” and condemnation.
    It will take a while, but the intelligent young will figure it out, and drop the left like a jealous girlfriend.

      Be vigilant. This violent rhetoric from these guys and others (biden, etc) may incite some “useful idiots” to commit violent acts against tea party folks or others. The leftist sheeple are easily swayed by this b.s. and may use it to justify violence. Remember the acts of thugs around the country earlier this year when states voted in measures relative to union employees. Probably best not to fight back as this will be used to support the argument that the tea party is violent. The ends justify the means with these commies.

      2012 is TOO LATE now. The “TEA PARTY” in sufficient numbers, Sold Us Down the River with this “Deal”. Even “IF” a MAJORITY of both houses are “TEA PARTY” approved Legislators when it’s done, this “Deal” has sealed the economic fate for this country. We are in a DEPRESSION, but with RISING PRICES for EVERYTHING, and nothing left to get us out of it. Now with a 17+ TRILLION debt, the African Wet Back is steaming full speed ahead with his crew of COMMUNIST RATS, Sailing the Ship of State OUT to SEA, completely OBLIVIOUS to the gaping HOLE in the bottom.

      Which would be just FINE, IF WE ALL WEREN’T ON BOARD with out any Lifeboats.

      These Leftists who are bemoaning the influence of the TEA Party cut the image, for me, at least, of inmates in an insane asylum regarding the normal nurses and orderlies who have come to give them their dose of medicine, which in this case is reality, and the insane believe the sane are insane. They just can’t wrap their already warped minds around the beliefs, ideas, policies, and position of these interlopers to their funny farm called Washington, D.C.

      The psychologist is correct, what the Tea Party is trying to do is impossible. It’s like trying to stop a spouse (Democrats and Republicans) who is addicted to the credit card and is piling up the bodies of a bunch of ex-spouses in the back yard and will resist all attempts at sanity because all of the credit card addict’s friends are enablers and excuse-niks.

      Anyone besides me remember when being a liberal meant that you distrusted big government, tried to live outside the watch of Big Brother, engaged in cash deals and bartering to minimize taxes, and valued perswonal liberty with as little to do with government as possible? Now, they have ceased to be liberals and have become statists, being willing to place all faith and power in the almighty central government. Anyone who has studied the Soviet Union or China knows the eventual outcome of a strong central government. The founders created the republic they did for a reason: to limit the size and power of a central government, which they feared greatly. Government was supposed to be first local, then regional, then statewide, and lastly central, not the other way around. We have gotten it completely backwards, and guys like Bashir are cheerleading for the death of constitutional republicanism and advocating oppressive central control whether they know it or not. We must fight them and we must stop them no matter how many nasty things they say about us. We are having an impact, based on the terrified over the top hateful rhetoric they are spewing. It’s almost funny when they will call Tea Partiers “terrorists” but can’t bring themselves to apply the word to those actually committing acts of terror.
