Muslim Brotherhood Preacher Insists Egypt’s Revolution Has Only Just Begun

Muslim Brotherhood Preacher Insists Egypts Revolution Has Only Just Begun

Yusuf al-Qaradawi

Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians gathered in Cairo‘s Tahrir Square Friday to hear the words of one the Islamic world’s most popular and controversial theologians.

Ending his three-decade exile, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the “spiritual leader” of the Muslim Brother, called on Egyptians to preserve national unity as they press forward in reforming the country’s government. “Don’t let anyone steal this revolution from you – those hypocrites who will put on a new face that suits them,” he said. “The revolution isn’t over. It has just started to build Egypt … guard your revolution.”

Qaradawi’s words serve as a warning for the national military not to drag its feet in handing over the governing powers it seized after President Hosni Mubarak stepped down exactly one week ago.

“The real message here was, ‘Don’t mess with us Egyptians,’” Shadi Hamid, a research director at the Brookings Institute’s Doha Center in Qatar who joined the crowd told the Christian Science Monitor. “It’s a clear message to the military, warning them that people are still willing to come out in massive numbers and it’s going to continue indefinitely if needed.”

“In this square, sectarianism died,” Qaradawi told the crowd, praising Egypt’s Coptic Christians for standing with Muslims in protest. “The regime planted sectarianism here … in Tahrir, Muslims and Christians joined hands for a better Egypt,” he said.

The opposition movement has unveiled a list of 35 demands for the next step of the revolution. “Egyptian people are like the genie who came out of the lamp and who have been in prison for 30 years,” says Hoda Youssry, adding that only one of their demands – Mubarak’s ouster – has been met so far. “We are not going back in until all our demands are met.”

In the meantime, Qaradawi made some demands of his own. He called for the immediate release of the thousands of political prisoners who remain in Egyptian jails, an end to state police forces, the dissolution of the cabinet of Mubarak loyalists and an end to the economic blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Qaradawi‘s appearance also reminded the devout crowd of the importance of their Islamic faith’s role in the nation’s political life.

Muslim Brotherhood Preacher Insists Egypts Revolution Has Only Just Begun

“Qaradawi is very much in the mainstream of Egyptian society, he’s in the religious mainstream, he’s not offering something that’s particularly distinctive or radical in the context of Egypt,” says Mr. Hamid. “He’s an Islamist and he’s part of the Brotherhood school of thought, but his appeal goes beyond the Islamist spectrum, and in that sense he’s not just an Islamist figure, he’s an Egyptian figure with a national profile.”

But it’s these attributes that have some fearing Qaradawi’s return to Egyptian politics.

After his speech, Qaradawi read from the Quran, specifically drawing attention to a verse on the fate of tyrants.

“No to Hosni, no to his regime, no to his supporters!” the crowd cheered.

Notably absent from the stage during Friday‘s rally was Google’s Wael Ghonim, who had emerged as a leading voice in the revolution after administering a Facebook page that helped spark Egypt’s uprising.

According to Agence-France, Ghonim was actually barred from the stage, blocked by men who appeared to be guarding Qaradawi.

“Ghonim, who was angered by the episode, then left the square with his face hidden by an Egyptian flag,” the report added.

With Qaradawi‘s reemergence on the country’s political stage, what role might the Muslim Brotherhood play in the new government?

Though senior military leaders are reportedly skeptical of political Islam, there have been some signs that the military council now governing Egypt has reached out the Brotherhood. One official, the appointed head of a constitutional reform committee, is said to be “ideologically simpatico” with the controversial organization.

The Brotherhood has also hinted it’s planning to form its own political party, a move that has been banned for years under Mubarak’s rule.

If feel sorry for the deceived members of the US Military. Their lives are wasted and their blood spilled in sacrifice to an alien god. How does it feel to know you have given everything you have…to spread Islam and build mosques?

Sickening. Stop eating the the muslim lies. The US Military is either deceived or a tool. They certainly do not champion the West. I am not sure what they do anymore but build mosques and do whatever the muslim advisors tell them to.

Right now, there are millions of suffering muslims who are quietly waiting for us to give them the opportunity to apostate. But, given the amazing levels of weakness and cowardice displayed by the US Military that seems more interested in spreading Islam and building mosques rather than banning Islam and outlawing mosques, it is no wonder we never see them. We appear to the silent suffering souls chained to Mecca, not as powerful liberators, but as tools of Jihad.

We do this because we are misguided in our eating of the the muslims advice. Spit it out.

It is sort of like that, but not really. The use of “factions” by the jihadi is convenient because it causes the gullible infidel to compartmentalize that which should not be compartmentalized. There really is no “muslim brotherhood”. It is a bogeyman sent to distract and divide the infidel while the real work of Allah proceeds amidst the deception. It is a Western device turned inside out and deployed as a tool of Jihad, to spread Islam, in praise of Allah.

There are only muslims engaged in Jihad in an effort to spread Islam in praise of their deity, Allah, as instructed by their warlord leader, Mohammed.

They certainly are not crazy. Their culture, Islam, their method of social control, Sharia, and the method by which they spread it, Jihad is nearly 100% successful in claiming nation after nation after nation for the altar of Allah. Not crazy. Jihad.

We could stop it but our cowardice prevents us from speaking the truth. Our tongues are tied because we have swallowed the prime deception: that Allah is God.

Our leaders political, religious, and military would rather eat the sweet sweet lies of the muslims and watch our children being sacrificed on the altar of an alien god that confront the sad fact that Islam is our civilizational enemy and is working to kill all us so that Islam can ascend. They are cowards and traitors to not only the USA but traitors to thousands of years of Western Thought.

Our denial of muslims’ intentions and the deceptions inherent in their ideology and its methods of propagation must stop now.

We could liberate our suffering Egyptian Brothers of the West so long held in bondage by the yoke of Islam but our cowardice prevents us from confronting the enemy. We cannot even name it.

We will continue to watch with uncomprehending eyes as nation after nation falls, bloody and twitching onto the altar of an alien god. We will wonder in amazed horror as why these nations fall into unending war never understanding that it was our failure that sent them to their doom. OUR FAILURE.

i think a good way to protect America is to define “religion” it is my understanding that the quran teaches over 34,000 acts of violence and mosques are where its taught, and these acts of violence are permisable and encouraged. since mosques are tax exempt like churches are, then the term “religion” needs to be redefined….government tax exemptions for mosques that preach hate and violence including murder, rape etc. should not be getting any type of exemption what so ever..there should be a full scale investigation, and to hide behind the word religion to benifit from tax exemptions should be considered dishonest at the very least. If the Mayans were here today tossing bloody heads down the stairs of a ziggarat would the American Government be giving them a tax exemption status for religious beliefs? makes one wonder!

This is just another reenactment of what happened when Khomeini returned to Iran in 1979 and turned Iran over to the Mullahs and 32 years of a brutal theocratic dictatorship where in the Christmas past they hung 46 Iranians in 20 days.

This 9th most influencial Muslim, a Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood that adovates the destruction of Israel and the killing of all the Jews, is returning to Egypt out of exile to bring about another brutal theocratic dictatorship ruled by the Sunni Imams.

CNN gives it a good spin but make no mistake about it the Obama minions have taken down an ally only for it to be replaced by something that will be a infinitely worse and definitely not an ally of America in any way, shape or form, who will seek to destroy Israel the first chance it gets. And, don’t think that the Egyptian Copt Christians will be any more safer from their evil intentions.

Here’s a couple of videos of what this 9th most influencial Muslim Jew-hater who preaches to 60 million Muslims a week has said recently:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQdkLSO_l-8&feature=player_embedded

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HStliOnVl6Q&feature=player_embedded

The Obama minions would have you think that what they have helped orchestrate in Egypt is all peaches and cream. Just as they brushed over the fact that Lara Logan was being raped repeatedly by 200+ Muslim thugs as they were cheering the ouster of Mubarak and their new-found “freedom”. The freedom to rape and pillage and kill Jews and Christians with impunity, that is.

Freedom is not something that is in the Book of Jihad, let alone understood or praised by the majority of Islamists who only know death and destruction from cradle to grave in the name of Allah.

Marine, you are not at all correct about the founding of or non violence of the MB. Your Wikipedia explantation of the MB is wrong. DO a little more research of the MB and you will find that the goals and actions of the MB were violent islam. The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 by Hasan al-Banna. He based his ideas that Islam was not only a religious observance, but a comprehensive way of life, on the tenets of Wahhabism, better known today as “Islamism”, and he supplemented the traditional Islamic education for the Society’s male students with jihadia training.

The MB early years were filled with assasinations. The very slogan of the MB is… “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” Muslim Brotherhood

That is a rather stupid comment as they are nothing alike – one involved Muslims and a few Christians, the other does not have religion involved in its government. One is demonstrating for freedom for everyone from a dictator and the others already has freedom and are demonstrating under that freedom for a right that the government is trying to take away. One had the constant fear of violence and the other have no fear of violence. I could go on and on with the differences. It just amazes me how people in this group can connect Egypt and Wisconsin – seriously, those dots are rather far apart. http://wp.me/pYLB7-Eh

No, from Florida. While I wasn’t trying to say that the Pope and this man are the same, they are both high religious leaders and many people, regardless of which faith they may subscribe to, still go to speeches and appearances by the other religious leaders.

According to Agence-France, Ghonim was actually barred from the stage, blocked by men who appeared to be guarding Qaradawi.

Bring your “caliphate’ to America. tell you what, bring your religious movement to my community and see how many of your “recruiters” get their heads blown off in search of their virgins. I guarentee you your numbers will see more virgins than they will survivors in this communitee of second amendment adherants.
Bottom line, you come effing around where I live, and you will find we are not as succeptable to “convergence’ as you may believe. We are God fearing, and God adhering Christians who will NEVER give way to your sword, and will will send so many more to their deaths who believe otherwise that allah will have to recruit a LOT more virgins to his cause than he once expected.

Semper Fi and you come get all the martyrdom you want, mohammed.
We stand ready to send you right to that status.
And we’ll piss on your body as we do.

I have spoken to a fellow poster at length tonight, and he asked advise. What I have to give is this: IF the happennings in Madison and elsewhere evolve, and you are faced with the question, “what do I do?” Then I advise my plan. Arm yourselves and make ready your family. If any insurection touches your door thewn have the philosophy of circles. First priority is your household. Defend and protect that as your own life, and have all members of your house ready to defend the same. Then your neighbors, then community then state. I think if enough people hold to this philosophy, then enough circles will entwine to make solvent circles of defe4nce for the whole country. But it must start with the base. Home is the start. Circle out after this is achieved.
Circle out, people, and only act in defence, but act as though life is pre-eminant, and defend her to the death if this republic is to survive!

Semper Fi, America, and good luck and God willing.

The Democrat media is too busy rooting for the teachers in Wisconsin to care about Egypt going radical Muslim now.
