Muslim Congressman: ‘Imagine’ The First Female Muslim President Wearing ‘A Hijab’ in the White House

Congressman Carson
Congressman Andre Carson, one of two Muslims serving in congress, encouraged fellow followers of Islam to strive to train up the next generation of Muslim leaders in America.
“[Muslims] have to groom the next city councilor, the next governor the future president, the first Muslim president,” he said in May at the Icna Mosque in Hartford, CT.
Thnn Congressman Carson went into detail over his “visionary” image of a Muslim President of the United States:
“Now brothers, I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, but that may be a sister. … Can you imagine a sister in the White House with Secret Service, with a hijab on? I don‘t know if you’re ready for that, that’s visionary right there.”

Carson went on to proclaim: “It starts with us becoming motivated. It starts with us being proud to be Muslim.”

A Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim man (so that the child will be Muslim). A Muslim man, however, can marry a Muslim, Christian or Jewish woman (because the child will be Muslim, regardless of the mother’s faith).

My mind hesitates to say those words because of our 1st Ammendment guaranty of freedom of religion. Didn’t the Framers intend for that only to be of Biblical faith?
Obviously, Islam & Muslim have been present for hundred of years. Was their religion protected as well?
I don’t think it should be.

People like myself who say they are the same are looking at policy. Both men lead us to bankruptcy and the end of the United States. So voting for either is voting for bankruptcy and the end of the United States.
As far as religion goes, I believe in the God and Jesus Christ of the Bible. Because of that I believe all other faiths are creations of Satan. So in my view a Mormons is no different than a Muslim, Hindu, or Scientologist.

We Latter Day Saints believe in the same God and same Jesus that is in the Bible, too.
Since you are an expert:
Is the Sabbath Sunday or Saturday? Is baptism necessary? Dunk or sprinkle? Is alcohol allowed? Meat? Can women be in the priesthood? Water or wine?
You get the point, it’s all in your interpretation. We believe God the Father, His Son Jesus and the Holy Ghost are 3 different beings, you believe they are the same. We believe we can become like him, you will sit on a cloud a sing for eternity. We believe in revelation, you believe God is silent. We believe that the Bible is the word of God, but that it was put together by scholars and there is more that God said, you believe it is the entire collection of His works.
We are not the church of Satan anymore than the church down the road from you is. Recognize that your opinions are just that, opinions.
Please, spare me the history lesson, just stop hating on the church.
We are good people trying our best to live our lives in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
